Review of Garden Walk Inn 4*

We stayed in the “Room with a View”. Room is warm and cozy. Very spacious and decorated well. Bed is spectacular and comfy. Really love the detailed lace on sheets. I’m sure In the winter with the fireplace it would be very romantic. Only con is the shower. They really really need to replace the shower head. Had to turn it all the way hot to stay warm. And it took awhile to wash my hair. This room could also use more lighting. Two wall lamps was not enough and typically had to open curtains to get enough light. As for the property We didn’t get to walk around much bc we were busy and there was also a lot of thunderstorms but I found it very inviting and peaceful. The pool is small and only 3ft but it was never crowded and my 8yr old niece loved it. The hot tub was my favorite place. Especially after a day of hiking and rain. Last but not least breakfast, the main reason I chose a B&B over a hotel was because I love a good breakfast. Breakfast was good but I didn’t like you didn’t get a choice. I understand they can’t provide everything but I figured we would have a choice of eggs, biscuit or toast, and meat. First day was a quiche (spinach, egg, potatoes, cheese). My niece wanted pancakes and was told that was the day before. They did at least make her sunny side eggs. We also got bacon, toast, and some watermelon. Btw the quiche was delicious so I’m only leaving my experience so others know what to expect. Second day we weren’t even told what breakfast was they just brought it out. It turned out to be chocolate pancakes, minced beef, and two tiny slices of oranges. They only gave my niece one pancake (size of a slice of bread). I felt uncomfortable asking for more so I just gave her one of mine. Staff was nice but I got the impression they aren’t used to small children being around or like them. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this place over a chain hotel. The location and peacefulness can’t be beat.
