Pet friendly and close to everything! You do need a car though to get around or a bike! across from the ocean.

Manager was very friendly, smooth check in, recognized as Elite member and room very spacious and clean.

Until things are back to somewhat normal & they don't have to take in whole families to live there, I would have to say no to staying there again. Kids running up & down the hallways, getting ice, loud yelling… all at up to past midnight. The staff was great, tho. The food was the best we've had during the pandemic. Too bad its become an apartment complex.

This hotel has been such a great place to stay! It has a beautiful view, is very comfortable and has the best staff! Everyone has been so helpful, especially Sue and Gwen who made the stay so memorable. They have treated my sister so well and were so patient with all aspects of their stay with their animals. We can't say enough about their hospitality and look forward to going back! It was so clean and well kept and everyone felt very safe with all covid precautions. The lady who helped in the breakfast area worked so hard to keep everything so neat and sanitized. Thank you so much for all you did to help us! See you next time!

Good services and good breakfast.

There was a hole in the bathroom wall, the toilet was clogged and the person at the front desk just to turn the water off under the toilet, there were giant holes in the blankets, the room smelled like pee, the hallways smelled of smoke and weed even though we were on a "non smoking" floor. There was one elevator for the whole hotel and only one washer and dryer… that didn't even work properly. One ice machine for the whole hotel that was broken. Never again.

Rooms had cockroaches. Staff was friendly. Rooms otherwise were ok.

I stayed here in October moving here from Austin Texas, and had a wonderful experience and my parents stayed here recently from South Carolina during Thanksgiving. They have a nice park area and the hotel sits on the bay in Clearwater/Dunedin, There’s a nice pool and spa, and the best place to watch sunset

This place is great! You still get to be on the water. There is a lovely view of the sunsets from the pool. The Jolly Trolley also passes right by the hotel, and that's the best way to get to Clearwater Beach which can be overcrowded and has very expensive parking. I found the room very comfortable and would've enjoyed just a day at the hotel! The front desk person was incredibly helpful and friendly. We had just driven across the entire state and got stuck in traffic so we asked for advice for a nice night out without a lot of driving and he gave us the perfect advice (Dunedon Friday nights are awesome! ). I would love to have stayed longer and I'll be back.

Great rooms for families with everything we need. Some noise from the aircondition. Friendly personal and normal breakfast. Great area to stay if you got a car avalible.

Wonderful location, clean room and public areas, and every employee we encountered greeted us with a smile. Definitely recommend!

Excellent staff. Clean rooms. Was very pleased. Had my small Pomeranian stay was comfotable.

The location was really nice. The view from the pool at sunset is beautiful! The beds were hard and squeaky. The hotel needed a little deeper cleaning. The free breakfast was ok, a typical breakfast. Overall our stay was good but not worth the money they charge!

Nice location between downtown Dunedin and the ramp for Clearwater Beach and towards Tampa via SR 60. Everything was clean, breakfast held a nice variety. Only problem was that they allow small pet dogs. Was barked and growled at constantly. Even when passing by the hotel rooms. Some did bark into the night.

I reserved this hotel just a few weeks ago and requested as always, king bed, top floor, water/pool view. Guy at check in named Nick was so cold and unwelcoming. Dressed as if he was at home and told me he didnt have any king rooms and placed us in the opposite side of hotel. Which was already assigned BEFORE we even arrived. I had no idea that the guy sitting outside relaxing was the actual front desk person. Not helpful at all. I do this type of work for a living and its very important for me to be professional and welcoming towards all guests since I am the first person they see. I represent my hotel and it makes me very disappointed to see people working in hospitality if they don't like providing service with a smile. I tried to cancel but it was less than 24hrs to get a refund. Definitely not worth the price and not sure I will return or recommend. Nice hotel but not staff.

Stayed 5-16-18 thru 5-19-18 in a double suite. Upon arrival the front desk was very polite and quickly checked us in. Other than that rooms were clean, prices were great, and the included breakfast was actually really nice. Overall for the price, location and convienance it's worth booking.

Great location on Edgewater Drive. The room was adequate and clean and the staff is nice. However, other than the view, this hotel is remarkably plain.

Everything has been great. Located close to the beach, the rooms are clean and the staff is extremely helpful and polite.

The staff were Wonderful… Extremely friendly and helpful! A very clean but simple hotel. The people who work there made our trip! The harbor is directly across the street and a beautiful place to go for a walk. You're very close to the beach pier 60 where there are restaurants and shops and lots going on. And close to Honeymoon Beach which is more laid-back no shops, restaurants etc. We took the Clearwater Ferry over to Pier 60 to avoid the parking nightmare and all of the traffic to get on the beach. The ferry is very close to the hotel and it is a nice ride over to the beach.

Awful compensation for our extremely inconvenient event. It started when our toilet kept running and overflowed into the next room. Flooding happened around 3pm while we were trying to get ready for the only thing we were here traveling for. A 70th anniversary party that we ended up late for.
The lady that came to our door apparently was the only one working at the entire hotel. What?! Thank goodness my brother new how to turn the water off. 5.5 hours later the floor just has towels over it, and we have another room to pack up and move to.
No service recovery. No assistance with moving all our things to another room. No manager notified. Then, for 2 hours, with a 1 year old and 3 year old who need baths and to go to bed, we need to move the entire room (that was unpacked) to another room. And find everything again at such a late hour.
Kids and are exhausted and miserable. My husband was stuck here for those 2 hours helping when he should have been driving home 2 hours back to Orlando. No guest service. They are discounting my mom 30$ For 5 night stay which she had to ask for. They never called her today like they had promised the night before. Absurd. On the phone, there were no higher ups to speak to, and they mentioned the company my mom used to booked this trip, as if to place blame elsewhere for the lack of compensation. Not to mention we lost cable and Internet the first day, for half the day into the evening.

Great size suite. Needs a little upgrades here and there but was a comfortable and quiet place.

The staff was amazing. Our suite was perfect for our wedding. Close to Clearwater and Dunedin. Will definitely come back here again.

Our dog loved It! The walk along the gulf each morning was beautiful and the view from our window was a lovely one! Everyone was helpful and pleasant. We'll stay every time we're in town!

Great staff, clean room. Close to downtown Dunedin and honeymoon island beach. Good breakfast and Wi-Fi. Rooms are getting a little outdated.

Was very clean, was off coast, staff was friendly nice area price was moderate. Had trble AAA find me a hotel and they made all my arrangement.

We were here 4 nights. Desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful on referring us beaches and places to go. Staff was very friendly. Very quiet place. Rooms are roomy and clean. Beds not so comfortable. Breakfast not so good. They have a pool and hot tub but we never used them. Feel misled when they said I would have a room with a partial ocean view I assumed they were on the beach. Not so, but I did have a partial ocean view from my room, across the street. Overall a great place. We would definitely stay here again. We will just being a mattress pad or something to make the bed softer and more comfortable.

Wonderful hotel. A bit misleading when I booked it saying partial ocean view making us think it was right on the ocean when in fact it is across the street. However, the desk clerk on duty is wonderful and housekeeping are as well. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was great, customer service was great, room was great. Prices great too. You can't beat this place.

I don't like the place. The reception service is Pesimo. When we got to the room we found in the microwave a rate of you that sure had weeks ahy.

Attention Pet Owners! This is not the hotel for you! They accept pets, (for a fee of course), but you can not leave them in room unattended! What good is that? Too hot to have them out too long, and most places, and beaches do not accept pets! I was planning to come here with my sweet little chihuaha, but sitting in the room with him is not my idea of a vacation.

I found the staff to be absolutely welcoming and wonderful. The room was clean. The internet was a little slow and the microwave should be replaced. I would definitely recommend this hotel for others to stay in.

There were some matters of circumstance however, we still paid full price ($134.47) for a room that had a half running a/c. It smelled like cat urin. Sometimes that can be from water damage or… cat pee. Mattresses are old and you can hear the coils when you sit on them and the pool wasn't in working order and despite having a do not disturb sign, we were walked in on… twice. The GM was very kind and contudcted business politely and clamly. I understand that he is only doing his job. Although, I will not stay here again.

Staff was very helpful with recommending restaurants in the area. Food service staff was good with keeping up with large number of people having breakfast. We would have loved to stay an extra day :-)

The location of the hotel is gorgeous, with a beautiful view over the bay. Large and comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff. Pet fee s a little high at $50. Nice breakfast choices.

Didn't miss the beach here. Watched beautiful sunset from the pool. Quiet clean yet my kids still felt welcome. Floor to ceiling windows. Was a pleasant surprise.

My family and I usually stay at this hotel many times throughout the year. I have never had any issues with the hotel until last weekend. I accidently left clothing in the closet of our room. When I called the hotel to inquire about the clothing that afternoon, I was asked to call back the next day because the guy at the front desk was not aware of anything being left in the room. He went to the room and checked but the clothing was not in the closet. Obviously, it was removed by their cleaning service. When I called the next morning, Heather, the front desk clerk said items were found in the room. When I asked her to list the items, I discovered that 2 of my son’s outfits were missing. Heather claimed that the items she listed were the only items left in the room. However, that is not possible because the 2 outfits were hanging in the closet with the other items. For the past 3 days, I have not been able to speak to a manager. Heather said the GM is in the hospital. She was not considerate or helpful. At one point, she said maybe the clothing is being washed with the laundry. Yet when I called back to inquire if the clothing was found after laundry was completed, she automatically transferred me to the GM voice message. After spending many weekends, especially during the summer, at this hotel, I am very unhappy with the service I received.

A bit worn around the edges, breakfast was okay. Near the bay, but didn't see any beach access within walking distance. Was a good quiet place for us to stay the night. Felt safe in the area. Staff was more than willing to do what they could to make our stay pleasant. The deposit requests on a prepaid room through Expedia was a bit much though.

Great hotel! Wonderful breakfast, clean rooms and other accommodations. Right in the bay for a beautiful walk and chance to explore down town Dunedin. Within 5 miles of great beaches, stores, night life, and more. Wonderful with animals and large families. Highly recommend this place. Probably be back.

Front desk people are rude. Rooms are over priced.

I stay in choice hotels 50 or so nights per year. This was the worst service I have had ever in a comfort suites. The lady at the desk took a good 20 min. Checking me in. She had a terrible smokers cough and said she arrived late. She swore at her computer and had no priority to me checking in. Our room had tea and coffee, but no coffee maker. When we went to call the phone didn't work. I had to use my cell phone. The jacuzzi and pool were closed even though she said they were both open at check in. The room we had was half renovated half not. Spend the few more bucks to be on the beach at quality, its not worth it here.

I was set to stay at the Comfort Suites 4days and 3nights but cut my trip short due to the poor accommodations and service. I arrived late on the first night and immediately left the room so I didn’t discover the following problems until the next morning. The room had an awesome view of the gulf through a floor to ceiling window; however the base of the window had something that looked like black mold or black mildew all over it. I spent most of my time spent in the room trying to keep my 1yr after from it. My bed lined and pillow cases had old stains in them that looked like blood and food stains. I was able to get new linen after two requests to the desk and asking housekeeping directly. All of that. I could have overlooked and still been a Comfort Inn customer but this next thing caused me to never give Comfort Suites or any affiliated hotel my business again. Upon the morning of our early check out, my wife received a call to the room. The person stated they were with Comfort Suites customer service and inquired about our stay. My wife told them of our issues and why we were leaving the hotel for another hotel. The caller offered to refund the cost of our stay but had to verify my credit card number, and home address. I told her that it didn’t seem right but she figured it was ok because they called our room directly. After the call, I told her again it wasn’t right. We called customer service back but were unable to reach a representative.

Had a great stay at this Comfort Suites, the management was at breakfast asking how our stay was, another guest mentioned they had a toilet issue and he said they would have it fixed immediatly. We didnt have any issues with our stay but it was nice to see they cared. They do need to remodel but he mentioned something about renovations next year. My family enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to other families coming to Clearwater.

Rooms were nice and roomy. Breakfast was a little small, but not anything worth complaining about. Rooms were clean.
