This review is for the resort that is across the road from the motel. Google Maps doesn’t seem to see it. Very satisfied. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the pool was clean. Take advantage of the amenities such as the beach chairs and umbrella. There are also bikes available for transportation. The staff was also very friendly.

This place was a pleasant surprise! I found it on line and I'm always skeptical on how it will really look once you get there. Here I was not disappointed! Once you walked into the room you could smell it was clean. But it didn't just smell clean, it was clean! It was a decent size room. The bathrooms are a little on the smaller side but big enough to do what you got to do The king size bed was amazing! Very comfy and inviting! My son loved the bed so much he woke up early in the morning and laid in bed and actually fell back to sleep for 2 more hours. He never does that! Ever! Once he's up that it. Lol! So that tells you how comfy it is! It's on the intercoastal, which is very nice. They have seating all around so you can hang out and enjoy the outdoors. A bonus is you are 4blocks from the beach and a lot of restaurants and shops and Pier 60. Really nice place to hang out! If you're a smoker (I am not), they have ashtrays and chairs provided at each door. No smoking allowed in the rooms though. Leslie at the front desk was very nice and helpful! It really is a nice place to stay! I highly recommend it. Plus it was cheaper then most places in the area. Enjoy your stay!

It was nearly a year ago my family booked a few nights stay at this motel. Usually motels in the city where I'm from tend to be in bad shape. But Sta N' Pla Motel was beautiful… Retro-styled, neon signs, cozy, clean rooms, fresh a/c, beautiful view, close to places to eat, and definitely close to the beach, and it's peacful. I took these pictures myself to give everyone else a closer look into this place. I loved it and so did my family. We'll definitely come back again next time we visit Clearwater.

If you stand behind our troops. Don't stay here. The staff wouldn't allow one of our Marines to get water for sailboat. And even called the police. Hateful. Staff. Barbara. Don't get me wrong is a fine place to stay. And the owners are good hard working folks. Just one of there staff finds joy in making a retired combat Marine life hard because he is living a simple life on sailboat. After 4 deployments. And a half of his life doing and seeing things that can't be unseen or undone. Please read the response to this and anyone with a education will see the it full of spite. And inconsistent statements.

This place is nicer than it looks like it would be. Very friendly and accommodating staff, good location, good amenities. Biggest plus it was very clean. I was a bit skeptical when I first pulled up, but I checked for bed bugs and found no trace. Had a really nice stay, full kitchen is amazing.

Could not have asked for a better place for the price! Stayed 4 nights in a waterfront room. Fished right outside my door. Customer service was excellent! Rooms are neat and clean. Office has bikes, movies, and I believe books for your enjoyment. There is plenty to do within walk-in distance.

I recently stayed at the Sta' n Pla' Marina Resort it was the most amazing stay I have had at any hotel. Leslie and Sebsatian made the stay even more pleasurable! They are both so sweet and accommodating. All the amenities were great and a steal! A true gem! I highly recommend staying here! You will not regret it! I will be returning!

Unfortunately, our room was not clean at all, indefinable dirt in the corner, everything has stuck. The situation was quite fine. Wouldn't book the motel again!

Super value for the price, location is great, bike, beach chairs and umbrella included. Video rental, small pool. The nicest people! Seriously look no further. Room was clean and we were able to checkout in the middle of the night. Thanks for great service!

This was literally better than any upscale hotel we've ever visited; from the customer service to all the amenities. We took full advantage of the bikes and were able to get a daily workout. The umbrellas and beach chairs are great quality and the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The resort is so close to the beach it's insane to try and park anywhere else. Oh I forgot to mention the pool! So clean! I've never witness anyone cleaning a pool at any hotel visit. At Sta n Pla they cleaned the pool each morning of our stay! This is the definition of amazing. I really appreciated the cleanliness. I'm sure I'm leaving out so many details but we have so many good things to say about this place. Thank you again for an amazing vacation!

Very good, spacious and 2 blocks from the beach.

Really enjoyed my stay. Got a deluxe king room with a kitchen. Nice room. Not the fanciest thing in the world but nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Leslie at the office was very nice to us as well as another gentleman but his name escapes me. Short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Also they include free rentals of beach chair and umbrellas you can take to the beach.

This place is clean, walking distance to everything, and has a nice pool. The highlight of my trip was Leslie at the front desk. Anytime I needed anything, she was there to help. She was patient, kind, and very helpful. She made me feel right at home. Thanks Leslie for making my solo trip feel right at home!

Absolutely satisfied, Barbara has done nothing but gone out of her way to make sure our experience here at Clearwater beach is perfect! Great customer service, room is neat and clean and very helpful service at the front desk! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone!

Recently, my boyfriend and I traveled from Lakeland to visit Clearwater and we stayed at the Sta n Pla Motel. I can honestly say it was a great expirence. It wasn't that expensive but you definitely get the best bang for your buck at this establishment. Everything was clean and homey feeling, the staff was friendly and they also had a vast movie selection to choose from. Luckily our room was water front and it was a beautiful sight both day and night. I highly recommend this motel, not only because it's cheap but it's a nice weekend get away spot. 5 stars!

Ole' Time Favorite. Waterfront studio gives you a view of the Bay out back and pool side from the front. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Clean room with full kitchen. Safe and well maintained property. Short walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants, bars and entertainment. Definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I decided last minute to visit Clearwater Beach for the new year. This was the perfect cozy little place! Rooms were extremely clean and cute (with comfortable beds), office staff was very friendly and it was close to great restaurants and the beach. We will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed this hotel. I feel like it had a good price as well. It was in a great location and they had bikes you could use to get around on instead of driving. When I go back to clearwater Beach I will definitely stay here. The pool was nice and it was only a short walk to the beach.

Older motel but clean and nice. Stayed in a huge suite 2 bedrooms with kitchen and living room. A short walk to the beach.

Don't let first appearance scare you away. The outside looks a little run down but the inside rooms have been remodeled nicely and it's a 3 no its walk to the gulf. Will be staying there again!

Bath and odors in need of renovation.

The rooms were comfortable and simple, it was perfect for the price. Also offers a pretty deck on the river we used to get some work done on our laptops.

Great location. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Yes rooms are small but cozy, but you stay here for the great service and location. Will come back here again.

I was there on July 17th 2017 in room 132. The room was neat and clean. It was small but very cozy. The room had a great view and a furnished patio area. I liked the pool and that the parking space was just a few steps from the room. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and even provided a family member that wasn't staying with me a parking permit for two days even though it was in the middle of summer when it's very busy and nearly impossible to find parking anywhere in Clearwater beach. I would definitely go back and recommend to family and friends.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Literally two blocks from the beach. A friendly and warm staff, that helped us with all our needs. Would definitely visit again!

Clean, good location nice service.

Perfectly situated a minute walk to the beach and a five minute walk from most restaurants. Very spacious rooms with excellent views of the harbour, room was spotlessly clean and lovely bedding also the bed was very comfortable and with nice pillows. Free Wi-Fi free parking has two small swimming pools and free bike hire there's not a lot more you could ask for. The only downside is the rooms are little dated if it had a spruce up would definitely be a 4.5*** Plus the added extra's of the wildlife want to be feed.

We were in town for a wedding and this resort was fantastic for what we needed. The staff was very friendly. The amenities are nice, you can sign out bicycles as well as beach chairs and umbrellas, free of charge. Very close to the beach, and on a quiet street. Both pools are lovely.

I'm local and lost power during Irma, so I came here for a few days. Nice folks, great location, clean room. Be back for sure.

Not to fancy, basic. Good location. Decent price. Beach cruisers were a plus. The locks on the doors to the room need to be upgraded. Pool and cookout area was nice. 3 and 3/4 stars.

Friendly service and a neat location with real retro character. The courtyard area with palms and grills is very welcoming. Kitchen and fridge are nice if you're sick of eating out all the time. Feels like vacation at your grandma's condo… On site parking for free seals the deal. I.

We came over for the night from Orlando for the Sugar beach sandcastle fireworks and the sunset, we booked it in the UK and emailed ahead and the guiys there took care of our requests. The Motel room was clean and spacious, we had a room next to the pool on the ground floor, the pool was warm and welcoming after the drive down and a stop at bush Gardens on the way. The rear of the motel looks out into a bay and there where Pelicans Herons and other birds flying around and fishing, it was a fantastic view. Parking was easy they give you a tag to pop on the interior mirror, I had to ask for a bottle opener which was provided promptly, after a glass of wine it was a walk down to the beautiful beach which was still really busy at 5.30 pm, we had a slow walk around and watched the festival and enjoyed the sunset from the pier. The firework display was fantastic. We had a great nights sleep, I was up at 6am so had a walk around Clearwater, I did think Clearwater would be bigger but enjoyed a 2 hour walk around, will defiantly go back and hopefully we can stop here again for more nights, Thanks for having us!

When planning our 'round Florida Trip, I looked for a place to stay 2 nights in Clearwater that was not far from the beach and that could offer a small kitchen for cooking, and that's what we got here. It was clean, it was quiet, the folks at the desk were friendly. It is 2 blocks from the beach (5 minute walk at most), and parking was easy. We really appreciated the chairs and umbrella we could check out for the day, and we loved being able to cook for ourselves each night. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lagoon, and it wasn't spectacular, but it was nice to sit outside and take in the air rather than just sit in at the table or on the sofa. Tip: if you've not been to Florida before, go and buy bottled water (or gallon jugs) to make your coffee, as the water in the state is retched, but that's not something the hotel can control. :-) We're planning a trip back in 2018 and have Sta N Pla on our list of a place we'd happily stay again.

3.9? Don't know where the other people giving 4 stars stayed but couldn't been here. Pool was hot and dirty im sure a brain eating bacteria was lurking somewhere in there. Our ac wasnt working well and they say they couldnt mive us thus went and bought fan. Bathroom had no outlet and shower pressure was that of a toy water gun. Room was decent enuff thats why I gave it 2 stars.

This is a great place! Super clean and the price you can't beat for being so close to the beach. My only gripe really is utensils in the kitchen. There was not a lot but I got around the issue, not enough to give it less than four stars or be mad about it. Also very accommodating. We will be back for sure :) thanks again for being wonderful!

The place told me I was a day late getting there even though I saw the booking was on the day I got there. They then would not refund the extra day they charged me for. The delux king studio was anything but delux. The kitchen was practically a closet. There was no cabnet door on the bathroom sink. The closet doors constantly came off the track. The shower had no water pressure. The mattress was supper uncomfortable and cheep. The fan rocked back and forth and made an irritating clicking noise. The carpet was nasty and smelled awful. The tiney heater in the bathroom did not work. The decor was not "retro" it was dirty and out dated. The only clean things in this room was the plates and bed sheets. The only thing that saved this place from getting 1 star was the great location. It had almost no parking and the pools where grosse.

Lovely room, great service, nice clean beds.

Front desk staff was efficient and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dated but sufficient for a night. We could hear the people next door, but only during the late afternoon, early evening. The position of the air conditioner blows the cold air right on the bed. — — not the best.

The staff go the extra mile to accommodate & are pleasant, professional & welcoming. The room had been recently remodeled & was tidy. The pools are clean & nice to hang out at & the premises are well-kept. Thank you!

I read the reviews after I paid for a room. I was worried. I didnt like what I was reading. I got here, met the staff, this place is a diamond in the rough. Great price, great staff, the place is great. Worth every penny. Try it.

So here is how they ripped me off July 31st 2014, made reservation through Travelocity on the phone at 10:20pm for the same night, asked until what time is it possible to check in and the answer was till midnight, I drove there in 10 min, I was at the motel 10:30pm on that same night, check in office is closed, I tried contacting the motel no answer, Travelocity tried too and no answer, I spent the night in a nearby hotel. Few calls in the following days from Travelocity to the motel and they kept saying, we will let the manager contact you. On August 18th I called Travelocity and they called the motel and they said I stayed in the motel and they won't issue refund! If you have time to waste and you are a lawyer, go ahead and stay with them.

Dirty room, bad service. I'll never go back again. They gave us the key after 3:00 pm and we found the room dirty. They took like 30 min to clean our one bedroom apartment. I'm not sure if they clean the room properly. Stains in the carpet and the sofa. We didn't use the sofa because it had no sheets It was also a dirty mattress.

We chose this place because it offers rooms right on the water and is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, etc. A great location. The motel advertises free Wifi; we would not have booked without this, however upon check-in we promptly learned that, despite their possession of two networks, neither works. If the resort were full, I would assume they just had less bandwidth than needed to accommodate everyone however the place was a ghost town. The room itself was tiny — fine for a room in this location as it's just for sleeping and washing up. It did contain a mini fridge which is excellent. However it was dirty. One flush of the toilet and it ran, loudly the rest of our stay. The shower was just that — no tub, again fine for this type of area. The problem comes in with the funk that was growing on the shower floor. As we did not expect this and bring any sort of shower shoes, we were unable to shower since we were not willing to risk foot infections, plantar's warts, etc. We were forced to clean up in the small sink. They do offer free movies, books, BBQ areas, there are 2 small pools, they offer pool toys, fishing rods, etc all free of charge to guests. A nice amenity but I would've been content to have the Wifi they advertised be functional and a shower I could stand in. Will not stay again and do not recommend — unless they make some changes. The check-in staff was super nice and efficient and knowledgeable of the area.

Peaceful, Clean, Friendly staff (owner). Close to beach, Pier 60 and plenty of places to eat. We had a great relaxing time. We will be back.
