I celebrated my wedding at Opal Sands Resort and we stayed at the hotel for several days. We also had friends and family staying at the hotel. The service and food was amazing. My friends and family were so impressed by the venue and level of service. I only have great things to say about the hotel and their staff. Jenna as my wedding coordinator was phenomenal. I had the wedding of my dreams here! We will certainly be back soon!

Great experience, the customer service is tremendous. Great views. My sister’s wedding was held here and left nothing to be desired. Jenna is amazing and went above and beyond to provide the best guests’ experience. Would recommend to anyone looking to host an event or just for a great spot to get away.

Absolutely loved The Opal! We stayed two nights checked out and we decided to check back in for 3 more nights! The staff went above and beyond even upgraded our room. Got to see a manatee and dolphins from our room. Everyone is soo friendly. The resturant was amazing. Even the guest pantries were top notch. Always water bottles/ice/snacks. Don't walk run to book here!

Absolutely beautiful full resort! Loved the turquoise colors all around. The pool overlooking the ocean was simply amazing! Our room was on the 11th floor and the ocean looked like we were on a cruise ship! The rooms are very modern and very clean. Every room at the resort overlooks the ocean and the beautiful sunsets! Servers at the restaurants and the pool were amazing and very friendly. We even got to witness a beautiful wedding while we were there. Loved eating at the Sandbar and the live music. We can’t wait to visit again, thank you Opal Sands for my birthday vacation! 🌴🌤

Everything was very nice, the location is the best for the view, right on the beach, the suites are beautiful and the food at the restaurant… delicious. We did not want to leave…. Excellent👌🏻

The staff were very friendly and the amenities were great. Opal Sands has the best view in the area and the pool was great for the kids and for the adults to relax too. I thought the hospitality industry was dead after COVID, but the Opal Sands is the exception to the rule. Excellent amenities, thoughtful staff, professional service, stellar room service and a carefully curated environment for families and professionals alike truly set this property apart. From Erinn, the excellent hostess at Sea Guini, who went out of her way to accommodate me; to the wait staff who watched out for me when I was being harassed at our conference luncheon by someone who crashed our meeting, the attention to detail, care, appreciation and service-oriented staff, has ensured my stay was second to none. Thank you!

What a great experience. Everybody was friendly everything was extra clean and I could see that they were constantly keeping it clean. Very reassuring for me. The gym worked out really well. The Jacuzzi helped when I overworked out. Got a massage there Brandy was amazing. Try not to judge her by her size she’s a little woman but all my god is she strong. Got my nails done there as well really nice people I would recommend it to anybody looking for luxury and comfort and cleanse leanness. Oh yeah in the restaurant I had breakfast every day a tall slender waiter with the best manners I’ve ever seen in my life. And dinner was pretty good too.

A quick anniversary getaway to Opal Sands only made us wish we could stay longer. The resort is beautiful! The staff were all courteous and attentive. Sea Guinni is definitely a must! The Ciopino was nothing less than amazing. Everything we ordered was a party on my palate for this foodie. The spa services were wonderful! I felt recharged and relaxed. We will definitely return.

Had a wonderful relaxing get away at this beautiful resort. Spacious suite with the best view of the gulf. Pool area was amazing and the food was top notch. We will definitely be back!

We spend some time at the bar and Kyle was our server. He was so kind and welcoming. We have traveled in the last to years to at least 15 countries and we can spot the best of the best, and he’s one of those! Thank you Opal and awesome Kyle!

We had an amazing time at Opal Sands for our 26th anniversary. Rooms were very clean and spacious, the view was amazing and service was outstanding! Our poolside server, Emily was the best. We enjoyed her company so much we asked for her section every day! We will be back for sure!

The most beautiful hotel on the beach. None of the others compare. Wonderful friendly staff, luxurious rooms, and the fine dining is unbelievable. I’ve visit every 6 months and I am always pleased. I wouldn’t try another place at Clearwater other than Opal Sands.

This resort is so beautiful and wonderful. Service is great and location is even better. Beaches and pools and restaurants are amazing.

Pros: view is amazing, rooms are spacious, food at pool, Sandbar, & SeaGuini is delicious, Sam at the pool deck and Bryan at SeaGuini were excellent servers
Cons: you pay same rate even though more than half the amenities are not available (this is not listed anywhere on website or during reservation process), tip is automatically added to pool service even when they bring u one drink and never come back, no vending machines, air/fan shuts off in room when you go in/out balcony door and you have to turn back on after you shut door, air conditioning did not cool room even when on 60 & fan on high, noise above us sounded like someone dragging furniture all hours of the night, no cleaning or restock of room toiletries until after 3rd night stay
Resort has huge potential as it is a beautiful location but just is not being reached.

Beautiful decor inside, breathtaking views outside. Friendly & healpful staff. Each floor had a pantry that offered cold water, fresh fruits, snacks and fresh baked cookies daily which is such a nice added bonus! Nicest, cleanest, best beach hotel we've ever stayed at!

Absolute luxury! The staff is amazing and they TRULY care about their guests! Super clean (and I’m picky! ) and their staff clearly takes a lot of pride in their work. Best place I’ve stayed in Florida! The poolside staff offers 5 star service! Meagan, Emily & Corva could not do enough for us each day! We are planning to come back a few times over the winter too. We just spent a week at Opal Sands Resort and it was amazing! Beautiful resort, best views and friendly staff. We will be back for sure!

Opal Sands was a nice hotel with great views. The entire staff, from the front desk, to pool side, to the restaurants, to the spa, to valet, all provided excellent service. A couple of downsides; they have guest pantries on each floor with ice, water, fruit & cookies, which they need to restock a little more often. There were a couple of plumbing issues in our bathroom. And most of the treadmills in the gym we're broken. But even all of those added together won't stop us from coming back. We'll definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I had gotten a hotel about 100 dollars cheaper than this one and we couldn't believe the difference. We stayed at our first one one night then found Opal Sands for the next 3 nights. It was so luxurious and incredible. The amenities are great… one of our favorite things was free bike rentals to ride up and down the sidewalk right next to the beach. The pool area is so great, we saw dolphins and manatees swimming just feet from the balcony on the pool! Also from our room balcony! I felt like I spent way more than I really did because it was so perfect. I will absolutely return to this resort both at clearwater and hopefully other locations!

Posh looking hotel with very modern decor at the very end of Clearwater Beach. Everything is overpriced here. Internet access is $25 per day. Want a parking spot? Tack on another $75 per day. The restaurant had extraordinarily high priced mediocre food with no legitimate vegan options. Expect to pay around $30 to $40 per dish, plus drinks and tips. It's a long walk (comparatively, about 12minutes) to Pier 60 where the actual beach, restaurants, tourist shops, and evening events begin. Just save the money and go somewhere better located, basically anything north of Opal, like the Hyatt or Hilton, both perfectly situated for enjoyment and much better deals for your investment.

The Opal Sands was very nice! The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel’s campus was clean and very modern. I really liked the guest pantry. I wish that they would have kept it stocked throughout the day, but it was very neat. My room was beautiful. I loved the floors and the layout of the space. The bathroom was beautiful and I enjoyed the plush robe. Very Nice Place!

I was in town from Missouri for my brothers wedding which was held at the resort. The views are breathtaking from every room since they are all ocean view! I recommend a corner room, we stayed in 901, because they have the wrap around balcony, complete with rocking chair to watch the sunset! All the things you would expect to pay more for at a nnormal hotel were all complimentary. I would love to stay here again!

This is, by far, the best resort on Clearwater Beach, which is why we keep returning time and time again for our “staycations”! Every balcony is private with an unobstructed view of the gulf or the beach! The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are comfortable. The variety of food options from Seaguini, Reflections and Sand Bar cause us to never leave the property and completely relax and enjoy! The staff is amazing and service is top notch! Can’t wait to go back in a couple months!

Service was great. Front desk clerks were accommodating and patient. Loved our couples massages! Breathtaking "cruise like" view of the ocean from our room which we could see from inside the room. Large oversized balcony. Watched the dolphins play in the during the day from our balcony. Nice pool. We will definitely return.

My husband an I live in Florida and we just wanted a nice get away from our town. We choose Clearwater fl. What an amazing trip! We have stayed in a lot of nice places in our travels together. This hotel was wonderful, from the amazing spacious room with a spectacular view of the ocean and gorgeous white sand, we saw dolphin swimming by every morning. To the restaurants on site had great food and great service. The pool was gorgeous and every single staff member employeed at this resort was kind, very welcoming and helpful. If I could give this resort a 10 star I would. One of the very best places we have stayed at! WE WILL BE BACK SOON! Thank you to Opal Sands for such a wonderful experience!

Day 1 is a Homerun! Love it! We especially like the fact that the pool stays open until 11pm and serves food (great food I might add)! The view is magnificent and the room is really nice. My only redo at the moment is to leverage the beautiful palm trees to add more lighting decor in the area since it’s open til 11pm, that would be beautiful and more luminous. Stay tuned for Day 2! Cocktails could def be more stronger.

Beautiful hotel! I love that all the rooms are ocean view. Staff is very friendly. My daughter loved the sloped entry pool. The beach access is very convenient as well. I can't wait to go back!

Our experience was amazing at Opal Sands. Upon arrival staff was very welcoming and friendly. As being first time guest a front desk clerk gave us a quick tour of the hotel/area and another employee was kind enough to give me tips on what there was to do and phone numbers of places to call for reservations such as dolphin cruises. They have endless fruit/cookies and water bottles which came in handy for our kiddos running around and the in room breakfast was amazing. Clearwater overall was great. Clean beach and surroundings, a perfect family atmosphere. You can clearly tell that Opal is one of the newer establishments and so worth it to stay in considering the view. The other hotels near by cant top the new establishment + View + Pool + Food!

What am amazing and beautiful beach resort. Stayed on floor 11 facing the beach. Had a large room with 2 beds. There is a self service pantry down the hall that offers guests cookies, fresh fruit and cold water daily. All of the restaurants from the poolside sites to the formal dining room offer great food and substantial portions. Reserve the rolls Royce for a nice evening out to dinner-its complimentary.

We had an amazing little getaway! I would definitely recommend this resort. Our room was awesome. We were in an end suite that had a wrap around balcony and it was more than perfect! They have complementary cookies, fruit and water on each floor and the food and drinks at their restaurants was excellent as well. Only negative was the valet and check in took a little long but everything else more than made up for it!

What a beautiful place! It is so worth just walking into. Big, spacious and lovely. You will be located right on the famous St. Pete Beach with it's beautiful white sand. There is a gorgeous pool and a fabulous deck area. It is so nice to be within walking distance to everything! The whole experience is amazing!

Room was great. Stayed for a work conference. Easy access to beach and many restaurants. Snacks and water on each floor such as bananas, coomies, apples and oranges were really nice. Parking and maintenance fees will sneak up on you and show on your final bill.

Apart from being beautiful, the social area is great for spending all day, the food and the drinks are super good and the attention very warm.

Very unique beach property, with waterfront that breaks directly outside the back of building giving all rooms a spectacular view of the ocean. Standing on balcony feels a bit like being in a cruise liner. Food is excellent. Banquet food exceeds other properties by a long shot. Have been here 3 years in a row for convention and we are always impressed with how consistent and delicious the food is even when serving very large groups.

Beautiful place, right by the beach. Has an outdoor pool on the balcony facing the water. Saw the sunset from there, great view. The restaurant inside has a great menu. Food was delicious, especially the hogfish. Definitely worth getting a reservation here.

My experience was exceptional! The valet supervisor Justin was amazing. As soon as we exited the vehicle he informed us of a complementary ride to dinner during a stay as well as other activities that could be done. I highly recommend this resort the staff is exceptional.

This resort is the nicest place I've ever stayed. They have refrigerated water on each floor which was nice. The cookies weren't anything special. The rooms are nice and all the amenities here are also very nice. They have many pillows on the bed so you can choose the level of fluffiness you want. Wi-Fi is kind of spotty though. Overall, I would gladly return. The place is not cheap though, be prepared to spend some coin.

Very nice and elegant hotel. Staff super friendly and a great place to have a conference. Modern amenities like RFID key cards, LED recessed lights in rooms, large flat screen TV show (estimated 40-50") and key card activated lights (never forget to turn them off) ac shut off with sliding door and stunning balcony views with glass railings. Worth the price, but more of an adult hotel as their are few kid centric amenities.

First time I went for a dinner which was excellent. The second time for my friend's wedding. Also excellent! This place offers a great venue for weddings and special events. They have a really nice place where you can see the sunset next to the pool and also have a ceremony on the left hand side. Note: parking can be expensive. I paid a flat rate of $15 plus gratuity for valet service.

LOVE The Opal Sands! Great location! The food was pretty top notch! Super clean! Super friendly staff! Everything is amazingly clean. And the complimentary toiletries like shampoo and conditioner and stuff were not cheapo, they were good quality products. I would stay again anytime!

Always a pleasure staying at this resort. Beautiful new and modern Beach front hotel. Rooms are impeccably clean and well decorated. Pool and gym facilities exceed expectations, but the spa could be better for a resort of this caliber. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is ahhhhmazing! I loved every little detail: from the friendly hotel staff who checked me in and who worked the floors, to the free courtesy food pantry (stored with complimentary water, and fruit during the day, and cookies at night), to the sunset views from my balcony. Some other awesome features to note are the fact that the AC automatically resets to 75° when the balcony for is opened (energy saving feature) and the complimentary chocolate and water left in my room on my last night. Even the restaurants were amazing (there are three! ) I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful resort.

Service was great at the bar and pool. Coty is a fantastic bartender and went over the top to help my wife and I enjoy our experience. Best fish tacos I've had in years! On the other hand, room service was basically non existent this weekend. Must have been short staffed. Other staff all around made up for the room not being cleaned. Will definitely be back.

Great vacation experience. Nice, new, clean facility. Rooms were quiet and well maintained. Housekeeping upon request to fit your schedule. Staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. Pool is not overly large, but is zero access at one end and steps at the other which is great for children and is also completely shaded in the mornings. Hot tub is clean and well maintained. Had a great week. No complaints.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS HOTEL! BEST STAFF EVER! I had an issue with my reservation that I purchased through a travel company. The manager, Alexandra, worked with me to resolve the problem. She was kind, patient, and made it right… even better! Jennifer was the first person I spoke with and she was AWESOME as well. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START OUR VACATION! I am grateful to both of them and really appreciate the hospitality at this incredible resort! All I can say is CHOOSE OPAL SANDS!

Bad idea. Very poorly run hotel. Quite shabby. Stayed at Christmas and what a mistake. Dirty rooms. Maids just walk into your suite unannounced. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. Like outside on the beach if you have too. If you do stay here be sure to use cash. After spending $700 plus per night, they sent me a letter after I stayed there saying that all of my personal information and banking/credit card information had been exposed and accessed in a data breach of their systems. They obviously do no better on the business side than they do in running third rate hotels. They are of no assistance of course. I called and spoke with a very rude and less than competent individual named "Diamond" and was told I am on my own and will have to request credit reports myself to see if any damage has been done. That is I will have to pay out of my own pocket for this service to each of three credit agencies. Since I have already accessed my free credit report earlier in the year, I have to pay to get them, which is the only way to see what kind of damage may have resulted from the Opal Sands And Preferred Hotels data breach. Pathetic. Asked for a supervisor and was told none were available. They assured me a supervisor would return my call. Still waiting. Very sad. A business is not defined by the fact that this type of thing happens to them, they are defined by how they handle them when they do happen. Epic fail!

Opal Sands is a beautiful resort. We stayed there for four nights. The valet folks and housekeepers were very kind and welcoming. The overall resort is kept very clean. On the first two days we visit, the pool was closed for maintenance, but we didn't mind. The beach is literally at your doorstep. It gives the most beautiful view of the Gulf Coast. There are so many things to do in the area, you do not need to drive. If you have picky eaters in the family, there is a McDonald's right across the street. I would honestly recommend this resort over any other one in the area if you can spare a few more dollars. It's beautiful, clean, the people are genuinely kind and I definitely would book with Opal Sands again. Thanks Opal Sands, for making our first stay in Florida a beautiful experience.

Opal Sands Resort went above and beyond to make my stay here the best it could ever be! The staff did everything we needed in a timely manner and were very kind and respectful. Above all, they had a phenomenal chauffeur service! My boyfriend and I had the wonderful opportunity to ride with Peter. Him alone made the stay here a memorable one! He was very kind and friendly. Every ride we got from him left me speechless due to his hospitality. Thank you to everyone at Opal Sands for making our stay the best it could ever be.
