This is our 3rd stay! Now that we’ve discovered the Cupola … I can’t say we will ever pick another room :) the best staff, amazing atmosphere and wonderful location!

When we arrived, a beer cooler spilled out of the back of our car onto the sidewalk in front of the hotel. Super embarrassing. Within seconds, a staff member came to help. The selfless service of the staff and their professional care to the customers within the first few seconds of arriving (not even stepping foot into the building yet) gave us the first impression we needed to recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family. The hotel staff was very professional and full of local information, the room was spacious, very clean, and felt like a home away from home, and the location of the hotel was walking distance to plenty of restaurants and places to sit down for drinks. Loved this place!

This was our 1st visit to Hotel Denver and it definitely won't be the last. The customer service is outstanding, the room was clean and comfortable and the location is perfect! We loved how is felt historic yet modern. This will be our first choice to stay the next time we visit!

The Hotel Denver is the only place we stay when we travel to Glenwood Springs for a relaxing weekend. It’s the perfect location — close to downtown, it’s attached to the fantastic brewpub, and it has a cozy charm that can’t be matched by other hotels in the area. We consistently have wonderful experiences at the Hotel Denver, and can’t wait to go back!

The most outstanding quality is the front desk staff. These people are the most friendly of any hotel I’ve been to. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and very clean. The only gripe is that the rooms need a small table to spread out suitcases. The little stand isn’t near adequate.

Great hotel in great location! Historic hotel very updated with nice antiques from the Western period. Very friendly and helpful staff. Canyon brewpub is adjacent to it. Cafe for quick breakfast or lunch is next door as well. Great view of historic train station and Colorado river. Great place!

A few things to know when looking at this hotel: 1. It is beautiful. The rooms are a cool juxtaposition of Victorian furnishings and modern art and lighting. Yes, some rooms are on the smaller side so ensure you get a room large enough for your party (don’t think of squeezing 3 people into a queen view room). The bathrooms are also a little snug, but I found it adequate. 2. You cannot beat the location. It is located on “restaurant row” so you never have to walk more than a few blocks for whatever you are craving. You can walk to the Glenwood Hotsprings and Vapor Caves across the walking bridge conveniently located just outside the hotel. 3. The staff is awesome. They are personable, friendly, and helpful. Roxie was amazingly nice and remembered my name every time she saw me; which tells me they really are interested in their guests experience. 4. They have A/C which was a must have for me in June! Overall, this hotel was lovely. The history, quaintness, and location is above and beyond what I expected. I will always stay here when I visit Glenwood.

Gorgeous hotel. Lots of history here. Our room was very spacious and the most comfortable matress ever for sleeping. Close to so many shops and places to dine. The hot springs park is right walking distance from the hotel. Don't bother driving there. This hotel has a micro brew right next to it.

Absolutely gorgeous and quaint. Large, beautiful rooms with antique furniture, huge full size bathroom, however; very modern. The staff is friendly, helpful and very accommodating… even the night clerk was wonderful. Breathtaking views from our room and I would recommend this beautiful, very well maintained hotel to anyone. Benny, the desk clerk was extremely wonderful. We didn't even have a reservation, just showed up. Great restaurant, with excellent food and cute coffee shop with everything you need to start your day. Amazing place, highly recommend.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Denver Hotel. Roxie at the front desk provided exceptional, above and beyond customer service! Between upgrading our room, keeping our phone charger we left behind, giving logistical advice, purchasing park passes and gentle reminders of times or restaurant reviews, I think she's a great asset to this hotel. She's very detailed oriented, and really added value to my anniversary stay. Not a single detail overlooked.

We received the thank you email for our stay and I wanted to take the opportunity to contact you. We stayed for one night. I have to tell you how impressed we were with one of your employees, Sam. Sam greeted us at the front desk. At the time, there was a party ahead of me and one behind. She was one of the most professional, kind, and helpful people I have met. I’m in the service industry. I’m the GM of a very busy corporate restaurant in Colorado Springs. I see a lot of bad and good—and I know that more often than not—the good we do goes unnoticed. Further details during our visit include the extreme efficiency and calm demeanor that Sam handled a pretty big rush. As she moved on to help me after so kindly answering all of the exhausted couple’s questions in front of me. She asked me for just a moment in which she answered the phones. There were THREE calls coming in at once and she calmly asked them to hold. Throughout the process of checking me in, she went through the steps of our reservation, and answered each call during a free few seconds. The people behind me became restless (small children), and Sam began to address their needs while calming the children. I consider myself a very efficient, professional multi-tasked, and I have NOTHING on Sam. She never once made any of us (on the phone or at the desk) feel rushed or unwelcome. About 30 minutes after arriving, my boyfriend and I decided to hit the hot spring (about 830/840pm).

Fabulous stay in a historic hotel that has been completely renovated and furnished with period antiques. Excellent staff. Housekeepers keep it immaculately clean. Awesome brewpub onsite, coffee shop and salon too. Glad we chose to stay here, you will be glad to.

It is an old hotel with a lot of character close to the train and the river. I love every time I visit.

Hotel is over 100 years old, but was recently remodeled in a nice way that kept the old charm. The beds are a little on the hard side. The bedrooms have wood floors, so if something is moved in an annjoining room, you will like hear it. Staff was very friendly. We got the hot springs package and had a great time at the hot springs which is about a 10 minute walk across a pedestrian bridge over the Colorado River.

I have stayed at the Hotel Denver before and had a wonderful experience. However, this last visit, we received a room so small (#312) you had to set items on the floor in the bathroom because there was no counter-space, at all. In addition, just setting your empty luggage on the floor took up a considerable amount of the limited floor area. Worst of all, when I sent a note to the manager expressing my opinion about both visits and the disparity, they never even responded. While I understand the logistics of vintage hotel accommodations, at $200+/night, there are better values to be had in Glenwood Springs.

Wonderful experience! Beautiful hotel, rooms are beautiful and unique. We had stayed in the Colorado section and had a very specious room on the 3rd floor with beautiful views. The rooms feel very homey and the staff at the front desk are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Go to their website the pictures are very accurate which is why I didn’t need to take any. The also have a coffee/breakfast cafe, feels very homey and makes things in the spot. Coffee is artisan coffee which will be the only coffee I’ll have.

I cannot say enough about what a beautiful experience my man and I had! We went for the "Ski Swim and Stay Package" and because it was our 3 year anniversary, they upgraded us (complimentary) to their best room, #191… we felt so blessed. Everyone was so gracious and kind. Our meal in the Brewery was amazing as well! It truly was the most amazing experience and we will make this a tradition for anniversaries in the future. I have been going to Glenwood Springs since I was a baby… now 47 years young… I am sorry it took me so long to visit the Hotel Denver. Thank you for your hospitality!

Signed up for the Hot Springs package, which was a reservation along with a day pass for 2 adults to the hot springs. The hotel offers complimentary towels for the hot springs. I suggest bringing your water shoes or sandals. Our room was located near another room where the tenants had left their dog in the room whilst they were out and about. The dog was barking almost non-stop and with no one in the room to resolve the issue, the hotel decided to move us to another non-pet section of the hotel. Happened to be a newly renovated room too, so it was a bit of an upgrade. Kudos to the hotel for being accommodating and friendly throughout the whole ordeal.

The Hotel Denver is a beautiful hotel in a great location. It is right next to the train station, the downtown shops & restaurants, and easy walking distance to the hot springs. The rooms are tastefully decorated with antiques, and you really get a sense of the history of this hotel in the lobby and common areas. The staff are great, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. It's definitely my favorite place to stay in Glenwood Springs.

Great place to stay! Rooms were nice! Wonderful customer service especially Roxie (front desk supervisor)! She was so personable, friendly, very informative on the area on what to do and took great care of us during our stay! The history of the hotel is very fascinating as well.

Fantastic and accommodating Staff and phenomenal place full of history! Every room is different, period furniture throughout to complete the ambience, I never want to leave! Don't be surprised to see a distinguished Doc Holliday out of the corner of your eye!

What a gem. Fabulous staff made us feel like we owned the place. The room actually a oversized suite was the pinnacle of the stay. The room was larger than many studio apartments I have been in. Located right in downtown. You can wander the night spots easily from the central location. If we ever find ourselves in Glenwood Springs again this will be the only place we stay. If I could 10 stars I would.

Loved this hotel. Dog friendly ❤ and beautiful spaces rooms. Front desk was very helpful and attentive specially Jesse. He welcome us with friendly and professional manner and gave us options to pick a room that we like and we really appreciate that. Our room 305 has the best mountain view, wide open big windows waking up to that view was worth every penny. Thank You Jesse for making our stay wonderful.

Friendly staff with great access to the train, but everything else is not great. Weird rooms with cheap finishes. Loud noise from people walking in the above room. No transportation services. All of historic charm was lost long ago with now outdated updates. And the cost! $260 a night! Outrageous for what feels like a cheap 3 star hotel.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Not my type of hotel. It is going for the old fashion but upgraded feel. The restrooms were 70's ish. My wife liked it, but just not my kind of place.

We stayed in a Colorado room and loved it. The room was eclectic. Close to the springs and you can get discount tickets at the front desk. Efficient and friendly check in/out.

What a lovely place! We got the train from Denver on Thanksgiving Day, and the hotel was so welcoming, right next to the station, beautifully decorated for the holidays. There are lovely quirky public areas with lots of treasures to explore, the rooms were comfortable, and although the bathroom was a bit old school, it was clean, the shower worked well and the complimentary products were nice. Air conditioning a little noisy. The staff were friendly, and knowledgeable. A short walk from the springs (great fun) and a slightly longer walk to the cable cars up to the adventure park. A really lovely stay, highly recommended.

Very nice, clean, inviting rooms. Nice staff. Not as historic feeling as I was expecting. Tons of great history for the area in the rail road museum at the station across the street.

ABSOLUTELY Perfect! We spent our honeymoon here for 5 days. Beautiful room with large open floor to ceiling windows with a view of the Historic train station, Colorado River and beautiful mountains (calles ahead and rewuestes specific room) Lots of shopping and restaurants close with quaint downtown atmosphere. Just beautiful! Can't wait to come back for our anniversary.

Love, Love, Love, Love, LOVE this place! We visit at least once a year, and they take great care of us (10+ stays). Right across the street from Amtrak station if you feel like taking the train, abundant shops and restaurants in surrounding blocks, plus coffee shop and brewery inside the hotel! Right across the footbridge to the hot springs. Quirky old brick buildings with unique rooms and beautiful windows, with the right updates to make it comfortable, convenient, accessible. Excellent for romance, for kids, and multi-room groups. Tip: many unique room types — let them know what you're after, and they will find the best fit.

What a great surprise this hotel was for us. We spent 4 days in Glenwood Springs and the surrounding area and stayed in this hotel. The hotel was very clean, the staff very professional and courteous and the hotel is very well geographically located to take advantage of the town as well as access to the surrounding sites. We will definitely use this hotel again in the future.

Nice clean hotel that is dog friendly. There is no charge for the dog to stay, they have a certain number of dog friendly rooms. We stayed in room 227 which was good. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small and the window pointed out to the AC unit or something. The wood floors are extremely slippery for you in socks and the dog, so take care while walking around. If you have a dog bed or blanket to bring with you, your dog will be thankful. We ordered food and beer from the Brew restaurant next door and ate in the hotel sitting area which allows dogs. The staff seems cold to guests which seemed strange for a staff member at a front desk of the hotel. There was one male front desk member that was very friendly and welcoming. No one was wearing name tags.

My girlfriend and I stay here most of the time when we come to glenwood springs. The interior of this hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are cozy and beautiful. The staff are amazing and it's right downtown so you can walk anywhere you need to go. The restaurant is amazing! Waiters have a sense of humor and that's important for our family. Amazing hotel!

Our recent stay at Hotel Denver was great! The staff was beyond amazing and helpful, as well as friendly! Honestly the staff made the visit a 5 star visit. We always try to find hotels that are nice and not the typical chain place. This was a nice vintage and not so typical hotel room setup. I enjoyed that. One thing that stood out was the noise. The floors are hardwood so it seemed that things echoed more than normal, but the walls a d doors helped block out some of the noise. Also our room was right next to some big fan outside our window which caused the noise to be even louder throughout the night. Even with that being said, we will most likely stay here again the next time we head to Glenwood. Another plus — it's downtown, right next to everything and lots of things were within walking distance!

Great hotel, in a nice part of town. Very dog friendly which was great as we were driving cross country with our large pup. Only drawbacks were hardwood floors very slippery for our old dog and no rug to lie on — we brought in towels but these also slid a lot. Bring bath mats with a rubber back if your dog struggles on wood. Brewery attached with great beer and food. Enjoyed the hot springs — across the river a short walk and local cafes and restaurants. Staff all very accomodating and friendly. No fridge in our room but there is a communal large fridge they let guests use. Parking is free but across the street so drop bags first. Decor great — all individual and lots of history.

The Hotel Denver is my first choice for lodging in Glenwood Springs! The historic ambience is fantastic. The service from the friendly staff is absolutely the best. The rooms are beautiful and wonderful. You can get a large tote with huge towels, bottles of water, and hot springs pool passes at the front desk.
It's great to have the Glenwood Springs Brewing Company adjacent to the hotel lobby so you can get a meal and drink without leaving the premises. The on site coffee shop is perfect for breakfast in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located next to the restaurant district downtown, so you can walk to many hot spots.
There are boutiques and a salon in the property as well.
I cannot list enough superlatives to say regarding the Hotel Denver. Check it out as often as you can!

Great location, nice hotel, comfy beds, only thing we didn't like were the floors were not cleaned very well in the room.

The location was great. The staff (Sam) was super helpful and friendly. The Queen View room was small but nice. Best hotel mattress ever!

Pros: historical charm, great downtown location steps to all the best restaurants and bars, pet friendly. Cons: extremely small rooms with very few modern conveniences, no complimentary breakfast, really not much in the way of included amenities. Would probably be fine for a short stay for a couple, but if you have kids/dogs, it's a little cramped. I think I'm going to be looking elsewhere next time.

We stayed here for one night this past month and were very happy. The front desk staff was super nice. Our room was small, but cozy. It had a street side location on the 2nd floor and even with busy street, noise was a minimum. We brought our small baby and dog and both were welcomed. We actually were going to stay at the Hotel Colorado across town, but they didn't have a room, but I'm glad we found the Hotel Denver instead! Great stay!

The Hotel Denver is very unique and just a great Hotel! We love traveling with our animals and this Hotel allows us to do so. No one in the family is left behind for vacation. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and enchanting with their mountain feel. We won't stay anywhere else, except the Hotel Denver. Even got my Aunt and Uncle over to our room for a visit and they were amazed with its individuality.

You MUST stay here with your dogs! The Hotel Denver is by far the coolest, most unique, and best accommodations that my husband and I have ever been lucky enough to stay in. I don't know what kind of travel gods we rubbed the right way, but for some reason, we were given a corner suite with views of the town and the mountains. It boasted the most picturesque views of our entire trip. The hotel was just to die for. The furniture alone in the halls were all antique pieces. Our room, with its exposed heating ducts and brick walls, was incredible. It was bigger than our first apartment. It had a seating area, office, walk-in closet, bedroom, wall-mount TV, and massive bathroom. The linens were handmade and exquisite, and the overall feel was that of pure class. The hotel had the coolest, two-storey restaurant and brewpub which streamed movies on a brick wall. We were also overlooking the river, railroad tracks, bridge, and hot springs. Although it was in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs, it was such a pedestrian town that our walks were still enjoyable and equally adventurous. It still baffles me that it was pet-friendly.

Love this place, best hotel ever:) can't beat it.

I meant to post this sooner but procrastinated and shoudn't have because we absolutley loved our stay at the Hotel Denver. I have a large extended family. We took a vacation to Glenwood Springs and all stayed at the Hotel Denver. The team at the hotel was extremely nice, patient and helpful to us particularly when our train was delayed 7 hours and they accomodated us long after our check out. I would highly recommend The Hotel Denver to anyone looking to vacation in Glenwood Springs.

Loved this hotel. Came here for a get away weekend with my girl and neither of us wanted to leave. We stayed at the St. James Room for 2 nights and couldn't of asked for a better room. The staff was all very accommodating and helpful, booking dinner reservations, suggesting places to eat since the brewpub and italian underground were both closed, and just helpful ideas for things to occupy our time when we had no plans. Definitely will be returning in the future.

My partner and I decided to spend a few days in Glenwood springs for our honeymoon and found a great deal on the Hotel Denver that included two passes to the Adventure Park. Being the spontaneous guy I am, I put in a crazy request to have a special picture in the room to surprise my partner. I never expected that they would actually do it! They had a laminated picture waiting for us and a free upgrade on top of that! She was so surprised and delighted. I was delighted by the staff on a daily basis. They were always courteous and went above and beyond to satisfy every need we might have had. They also have discounted tickets for the springs within walking distance across the river and you can get a free credit voucher for the brewpub attached to the hotel if you decline housekeeping, which I will always take advantage of! The room was more than spacious and perfectly clean on arrival with plenty of towels, sheets and pillows. They even provide a hand sewn quilt in the room and the quilts can be purchased in the lobby for those interested. There was also a Keurig coffee machine with free pods and more shampoo, soap, and conditioner than anyone could ever need. The brewpub is attached to the hotel and has excellent beer and food available late into the night. The hotel does not officially have breakfast but had granola bars, apples, and fresh coffee available in the lobby each morning.

Just finished spending the night there. Had a fantastic experience! Check-in was a snap. The room keys were actually keys! Loved that! Everything was clean and the rooms were unique with original antiques from the area. Close to everything and has a pretty decent pub attached. I brought both my cat and dog (I'm moving across the country) and they treated them like rock stars. Even let me stay parked in front while I went to grab a quick cup of coffee. Stay here if you want a local and friendly atmosphere. Also, no hidden pet fees.
