The location is perfect its close to
Yosemite entrance which is about 20 minutes away.
there were just a few things we didn't like
1-the room was too small and the bathroom sink was a bit to high to use it.
2-Unfortunately their restaurant was close. So we had to go to town to get some food.
Other then that its perfect

My wife and I stayed here in a whim after visiting Yosemite. What an awesome place. The staff was amazing and Chance does a great job at the BBQ.

Place is rustic and historical and very quiet stay. Beds are comfortable has all the amenities the one needs, wonderful and surrounded by pine trees. Can't wait to come back sometime.

Charming character with updated amenities and friendly staff. Was perfect for our large group! Indoor hallways with outdoor porches and lounging in the “family room”. A home away from home.

Shower was a bit small but the rest of the place was charming. Rooms clean and well maintained. Restaraunt had a trained chef with above standard fare. Table Service was in training but were earnest and professional. Overall excellent stay at the Sierra Sky Ranch!

Just a one-night visit, below is my thoughts on the place. Pro's — very clean, great service, comfortable beds, great outdoor porch which we used a lot of. Cons — small rooms, no refrigerator in the room, it took 10 minutes for the hot water to heat up enough to take a shower. InitallyI, the water came out brown but did eventually clear up. The restaurant on site was closed which was one of the reasons we stayed here, for convenience. Overall I liked the place but admit, if I was to look for a hotel for more than 1 night, I would probably pass on this one.

Small hotel close to the South entrance of Yosemite. Rooms are very small but nicely kept, and each room has a set of table and chairs out on a shared patio overlooking the ranch land that is a perfect place for coffee from the free breakfast. Quiet hotel with decent internet — would definitely stay there again!

Location was great, not too far of a drive to the Yosemite park gates, rooms were super cozy and modern. All amenities were functioning properly, and easy to use as well as professionally presented. The 24 hr check in capability was also a huge plus! I also really enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel as a cattle ranch. Overall a great experience!

Staff was friendly and very accommodating. They even tried to help out with breakfast before the normal hours so we could get an early start to our day. Unfortunately, we caught bad timing when the restaurant and bar were in transition and not open. Still we really enjoyed the accommodations and stay.

Sierra Sky Ranch is beautiful! Very well decorated and in a convenient location near to Oakhurst proper but very close to the south gate to Yosemite. Very comfortable room. The continental breakfast is perfect for a grab-and-go on your way to the park. My only complaints are that the double beds are pretty small to fit two adults in and that there's a lot of morning noise with people leaving early (6 a. M. ) for the trails.

Our party stayed last night at Sierra Sky Ranch after spending the day at Yoesimite. We arrived around 4 and checked in. It was such a welcoming place. Rachael at the front desk was so pleasant and very helpful. We spent the evening on the peaceful porches. The rooms were very cozy and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay! If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be staying agian.

Very clean, comfortable rooms. Beautiful, glass double doors leading to a shared front porch. Very rustic and homey feeling. No microwave, fridge or coffee maker in room. There is a microwave and 24h coffee in the lounge. I have to steam my breast pump parts in a special bag in the microwave and the bag was too big for the microwave, so that created a predicament for me (but not many others would likely find themselves with same problem). I did have to wait to get checked in to my room bc housekeeping was behind, which was kind of a bummer, but not too big of deal. My room was very clean, so I was happy with that. The restaurant and bar are only open seasonally. I stayed 5/11-5/13 and they were not open yet, which was a real bummer. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Rooms are nice and clean, although smaller than most. Lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast is included, although there isn't a big selection (cereal, muffins, bread, fruit, and yogurt). Staff is very helpful and friendly. It's about 1.5 hours from Yosemite, through winding mountain roads. The only minor complaint is that the driveways are not paved, so it's very bumpy getting in and out.

A very nice rustic place to stay well kept and clean. However the rooms are a little too small for my liking not a lot of elbow space. Very nice staff friendly and helpful.

It’s one of the best Ranch I have stayed. Ambience was great, rooms were super clean and cozy, amazing patio for breakfast and morning tea, and best part is their living space near reception with bone fire.

My rating is not based on the service but rather on the darkness that is felt there. It is definitely haunted and you could feel the darkness and heaviness on your chest… the first night my husband and I were there, I felt a strong heaviness on my chest and my body got cold even when the heater was on… when I checked the time it was around 3am. The last night my husband and I were there, I heard laughter and nobody around was awake. We packed our bags and left immediately. I asked my husband what time it was and it was around 3 am. A beautiful yet very eerie place to stay. I got very little sleep while we stayed there. Staff and service was great but because our our eerie and dark experience, we won’t be staying there again.

A very nice and cozy place, all very clean and new. The only thing if you go in winter the bathroom is a bit cold. Breakfast is good.

Loved it. Stayed an extra night right next to Yosemite National Park. This is a modern western ranch with roomy rooms and comfy king beds. It has a wonderful old log cabin lodge feel including warm fieldstone fireplaces and porches in each side of your room. Continental breakfast was excellent.

A beautiful quiet hotel, that feels more like a home from home. The rooms are big peaceful with outside seating to relax and take in the views of the wonderful countryside. There's also log fires in the rooms which make them feel very homely. The location is great just on the south entrance to yosemite. Owners are really friendly and cleanliness is 5

One of the best hotels I have stayed in! Such a cosy ambience, great view and so peaceful ❤️ the breakfast was great, and the room we stayed was spic and span. We got a great room for a very affordable price. Would definitely recommend to friends!

Historical location, main building houses restaurant and rooms along with a second building that has rooms only. Comfortable beds, central a/c so pretty quiet. Most rooms have a porch. Furniture good and rooms are clean. About 3 miles outside of town. Restaurant is very good.

Very nicely refurbished/decorated hotel, feels homely! The staff who checked us in seems a bit unwelcoming and mistakenly activated our card for two nights (which we were staying there for three nights), perhaps the staff could be a bit more professional and welcoming instead. We ordered food from the restaurant during our stay, the garlic potato mash was amazing! The food was quite good in general! Breakfast was good too, got everything you'll need!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon there in 2009. Although it looks really pretty now I have to say I am heartbroken to see that all the wonderful rustic and homey feel has been changed. I don't know what it's like to stay there now but in 2009 it was amazing and staff was absolutely fantastic. I guess my husband and I will need to find a new place for 2019.

We went for a birthday party. It is located off the main road (41). We had the prime rib dinner, Salmon dinner and then Ribeye steak. The sides are generous. We all enjoyed or dinners. They have plenty of parking. The service was great. We had an excellent server.

Dinner okay. No bartender, so only beer and wine available. Waitress slow to take our order with no one else in restaurant until much later than our arrival. FREEZING! When asked to turn down fans, waitress responded with "… you expect me to turn them down? " Sounded snarky and nothing changed. Flat iron steak good. A little salty for my taste buds. The creamed corn is awful. Garlic mashed potatoes had cloves of garlic in them. That was interesting. The presentation was lovely and in keeping with an historic place. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained.

Very nice, about an hour from Yosemite. Excellent rooms, quite relaxing. Make sure to have dinner there at least once, fantastic and affordable. Thanks to everyone there that made our stay wonderful. We extend our stay just to relax an extra day.

Highly recommended! Its so EASY to find. Just minutes away from Bass Lake. Its quiet and beautiful. As you come inside the hotel, it's like you've stepped back in time. The lobby area has the look of a handsomely decorated log cabin. Staff is friendly. Then there's the intimate and downhome restaurant tucked away on the other side of the hotel. The food is superb! The menu ranges from prime rib to fried chicken to even shrimp pasta, with many delicious sides to choose from. Loaded baked potato, homemade mac n cheese, baked veggies and ranch beans, just to name a few. It's also kid friendly, so bring your family! They even feature their own bar and yes, happy hour! They are open all year round, dinner service is from 5 till 9pm on Wed through Sunday.

After a very long day on the road through Yosemite (driving holiday from Pittsburgh to Seattle and every National Park between) what a welcome sight the ranch was. Very comfortable beds and the whole place was a little bit of magic. Wish we could have stayed longer. When we return to the States, we will be back for a longer stay. Definitely recommend staff are fabulous.

Great location, rooms are extremely well kept, but just bit small.

The Hotel is a little further down from Yosemite National Park, but throughout the way to the Park there are several sight seeing spot. The rooms we stayed in (double bed) is kind of tight, but since we were just there to stay over for the night it was fine. Each room comes with a deck where u can sit and enjoy the natural habitat of the place. They are remodelling and adding more rooms around the hotel, so there were some construction noise starting in the morning. Everything else look nice and clean.

Quaint location not far from the south entrance in newly remodeled rooms was really comfortable and a pleasurable experience. The staff were pleasant and the rooms rustic and quaint. Definitely recommend this location and Inn.

This place is 20 minute drive from Mariposa Grove. The front lawn and Grand Room are nice. We stayed in the largest room. Upon entering the room smelled musty. Opened the doors to ventilate the room and the door felt like it was going to fall off. Closets were dirty. Only one towel was provided for a family of four. We were told the hotel has a restaurant attached to it before booking but when we got there told it was closed that day. Breakfast was included but nothing special at all. You had to walk out of the restaurant and past the reception desk to get your own coffee which was warm at best. Pool was swim at your own risk (actual words by staff) and had algae in the pool. There was a bench swing outside of our room but too close to the wall so when people sat on it it just shook the whole place up. The plank boards on the deck outside the room felt like you were going to fall through. We always check under the bed before we leave for anything we might leave behind but instead found insect traps and a bunch of stuff left behind over the years. GROSS! They claim they have new housekeeping staff but they certainly didnt hit our room. Stay away from this place or at least this room.

Don't ever steal or this happens.
