This place has a lot of character. Set in the heart of Groveland about 30 minutes outside the Yosemite National Park entrance on Highway 120. There is not food available at this hotel, but there are food options within walking distance. This is not a Bed & Breakfast, however, we enjoyed our stay.

Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. The town is cute too. The building is older or historical depending on how you look at it. We enjoyed our short stay.

I can't say enough about this place and the other Hotel they own, the Groveland Hotel. Both places are 5 star and you will get the same great care at either place. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated and you have access to free kuerig coffee anytime your heart desires. The owners are a young couple who are hand's on with both places. You'll see one in the kitchen cutting veggies for the evening meal, while the other one might be at the other hotel holding up the front desk or helping one of the guests. It's always a pleasure staying with them at the Groveland Hotel or the Hotel Charolette.

A very sweet Hotel! The Lobby looks friendly and the breakfast is good. For 1 or 2 nights in a room it is ok… But… there were no closet in the room and they were to small for 2 or more nights. Also the potatos were cold every morning on breakfast and the WLAN was unstable. Info: You need a hour from there to yosemite valley.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The receptionist was very friendly. And last but not least the Wi-Fi is great.

We overall liked the hotel. The hotel had parking space behind the building that was very helpful. Great location: the hotel is about an hour drive to Yosemite Valley area. Complimentary breakfast was very appreciated. Note that the breakfast is served in another hotel that was just across the street. I liked staying at a non-franchise hotel as it has its unique feeling. Despite of the cons I listed below, I would still recommend this place for Yosemite travelers. Some cons though: we stayed in a room with two queen beds that fits 4 people. But there weren't enough storage space for 4 people's luggage. Also the staff is available from 7AM to 10PM only, so plan ahead if you're arriving late. I didn't mind the wooden floor (I actually prefer wooden floors) but the floor wasn't the cleanest. Also there was no refrigerator in the room. We got to ask the front desk to store our next day's lunch to their fridge. But it would have been nicer if there was a fridge in a room or in common areas.

PROS — When open (the weekends) the restaurant and bar offer good food and drinks, in a nice looking environment. — The hotel staff are friendly. CONS — The Wi-Fi doesn't work 90% of the time which is a problem as there is no 3G in the area. — The hot water per room doesn't last long enough for two people to shower. — It's very loud in the morning with other guests talking in the corridor and opening/closing doors. — The bar isn't open all of the time, I can understand the restaurant closing but why the bar as well? Given there are hotel staff on site it doesn't make sense.

I was in the year 1982, beautiful Experience the Hotel is of period and the city also, they are part of a tour of different towns by a route of SCENIC DRIVE, all a wonderful way and the culmination this small road to Yosemite Park. It's worth the trip!

A very relaxing place. I went with my family and friends and well pleased everyone. We stayed in a little house. All very well equipped. Very comfortable beds. All very well.

Hotel "Vintage", well maintained and clean but with old style furnishings.
Very friendly and friendly staff, free parking available and free Wi-Fi in the property.
Breakfast available with gluten-free products.
Convenient and on the way to Yosemite.

Tiny room with quiet A/C, acceptable Wi-Fi Speed, friendly staff. The included breakfast offered toast, cereals, fruit and eggs. Could have been worse but when you like to get the most our of your holiday look for a different place for breakfast.

We were quickly seated and served with drinks by Lydia. The food was delicious and tasty with some really fine flavours and mixtures. I have to say one of our best meals here in the USA. Friendly service great food.

Hotel kitsch to wish but so nice in this small village. The hotel is located in the centre, in front of a Saloon. There is a car park behind. It changes channel classic American, here the room is from another century, that of Charles Ingalls.

Food was delicious. Patatas bravas were our favorite, even though a tad on the salty side. Service and decor didn't disappoint.

Ten of us stopped for dinner. Despite our large group we were seated fairly quickly, the food was of incredible quality and taste and the habenero margarita was amazing. I had the venison with chutney. It was perfect. I stole a bite of a friend's steak, medium rare. Taste and texture were perfect. ThE table ordered all three desserts to share. The almond crust on the cheesecake was amazing.

Everyone I dealt with at the Hotel Charlotte was incredibly friendly and helpful. I wasn't going to be able to check in on time since I was getting married. I made one phone call and the staff set everything up for me to get in later in the evening without any hassle. They even had a nice personalized note left in the room with a bottle of wine. To congratulate us. I would definitely recommend The Hotel Charlotte to anyone looking for a room in Groveland.

The Hotel Charlotte was a blissful little oasis outside Yosemite! What a wonderful place. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious, quiet (ours was in the back of the building) our bed was beyond comfortable, and the water pressure (long hair) was great. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday, so we didn't have a chance to try the restaurant — but we will be back! Very much recommend this lovely Hotel for those of you visiting Yosemite!

This review is about the restaurant and bar. They have draft beer on tap. The food is above average Nd comparable to many higher end restaurant. This is the busiest restaurant in town for a reason!

Comfortable bed, everything was clean, and for those traveling with fury friends, there is a special dog friendly dining area with a few tables removed from the main dining area. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend Hotel Charlotte!

Nice little hotel for the price. Wasn’t my cup of tea. I’d more call it a bed and breakfast (and that’s being generous with the word breakfast) The rooms are barely big enough to get around the bed and the TV in the room was absolutely tiny and angled so you couldn’t really see anything, might as well just had some interesting reading material in the rooms. Didn’t really interact with the staff (didn’t spend any time in the hotel really). But mt wife said they’re friendly. The tub was interesting but I think I was a bit too big for it (water came up to my navel while I was sitting in it) and I had to squat to see myself in the mirror, overall I think this was a hotel built a while back for much smaller people. Sound carries pretty well, mt wife was woken by our neighbors snoring and I could pretty much hear their conversations from our room across the hall. The coffee at the continental breakfast was good, didn’t try the fruit or hard boiled egg as we had already decided to go somewhere else for breakfast. Free Wi-Fi was a godsend since we came in winter and it was dark by 5. They claim to be “30 minutes from Yosemite” but it’s really 30 minutes from the entrance which is another 30 minutes from the loop where you want to go, but it’s all a nice windy road so it’s a fun drive. Overall, don’t set your expectations super high, it’s an old place in a small town, if that’s what you’re going for you’ll probably love it, but I’m more into fancy full service hotel.
