We had dinner in the hotel restaurant tonight. Minestrone soup, fish tacos, salmon were very good. Bartender was also the waiter for all bar and restaurant tables. He did great multi tasking.

If you wonder why there are complimentary earplugs next to your bed? The most horn can't be avoided. Nice hotel though, with spacious rooms.

Do not bother. We spent one night, for $379.00 in the Inn. We had one night away from the kids and we were excited. We checked in and were told about room service, the restaurant, the shoppes. We went to the room, the paint on the bathtub was all chipped, the blankets smelled like they hadn't been washed and there were stains on the carpet. And not just some stains, it was a dark blue rug with bleach stains all over. When we went to order coffee in the morning, OFF OF THE MENU in our room, we were told "there is no room service in the Inn part of the hotel. When we checked out we talked to the manager who was clearly inexperienced. He took $20.00 off our bill which was nice. But honestly, there are few shoppes, and the food at the restaurant wasn't great. So we aren't going back. However, the spa was great. The women there were amazing, kind, and that really saved the trip.

The room was clean, stylish, and relaxing with a terrific bathroom and fireplace, plus cable tv. There is a promenade with restaurants and shopping right downstairs. There's a decent fitness room with a cable tower and some machine weights, plus a couple bikes, treadmills, a stair stepper and an elliptical. There's a room with free coffee and tea all day. The hotel staff was also quite nice. Good stay!

Great family run hotel with fantastic views of the harbor. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend rooms in the main hotel over the inn. Food was very tasty with many options grown in their own farm nextdoor to the property.

Perfect location. Next to the harbor. Nice variety of restuarants and points of interest. Everything within walking distance or just a short drive. Hotel was clean, staff was great, and a very relaxed experience overall.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator as well as a fireplace. The view from our room was exceptional as well. We could see the harbor, the mountains and the ocean. Would definitely visit again.

I don't understand how this place is a 4 star hotel. You're telling me that this dated and dingy hotel is only 1 star lower than the Ritz Carlton? While the entrance to the hotel looks well-kept, all the furniture and carpets in the room are stained. Even the bed comforter is very old and discolored. The balcony over looks the harbor which is nice, but the white patio chairs are covered in grime, therefore are not usable. The floor of the patio has mud and spider webs galore. I don't like that I'm not comfortable walking on the carpet or the patio barefoot due to the filth. I am a little disappointed given the price point and the "4 star" rating of this hotel.

Second time for us to stay here. The rooms are wonderful an comfortable. Very helpful staff. Half Moon Bay Brewery right next door. Great food and brews. More great food all around the hotel. Beautiful views.

This is a fantastic hotel with great bay views. Love this area! People at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are great, even came with a bottle of wine!

Great hotel. Very large room with seating area and small fridge with sink and microwave. Made it easy to have the 4 of us in the room together without stepping on one another. Bed was comfortable and they even have a sound machine to help drown out the fog horn.

Nice cosy hotel. Awesome getaway from the busy city. Some rooms have very noisy internal air conditioning unit but apart from that and being old the hotel is clean and tidy. Would be an awesome place to stay during summer to enjoy the beach and the seafood restaurants.

I stayed with friends at the Oceano and loved it! The king rooms were so spacious and provided a great gathering place for all of us. The view was gorgeous and the spa was delightful.

We had a room on the second floor with two double beds, a view and balcony towards the water and mountains, it had a nice sitting area with a couch, fireplace, wet bar, desk and small eating area. The bathroom was large with a soaker tub, separate shower and a double sink. The location was great for walking to restaurants and we saw a beautiful sunset that evening while sitting on an outdoor patio at a nearby venue. Reception was very helpful during our check in and gave us recommendations for dinner. They also provided underground parking.

We stayed in the inn, not inside the big hotel this time. The inn was still nice. Spacious and very clean. Did not have the amenities that the rooms inside the big hotel had, but it was still nice. The only complain I have is the noise from the harbor. They do give you complimentary earplugs. But the beeping noise from the harbor is just too loud. It would have been nice to have this disclose somewhere online for those who chooses the inn rooms.

So much is right with this place and it's definitely worth staying here. But just a few smaller things prevent 5*. Stunning location next to the marina with amazing views over the Pacific. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Rooms are large, mine was a suite with a large and slightly partitioned sitting area, big fire (gas) and sofa, kitchen area with fridge and a small balcony (2 chairs and a table) which whilst overlooking the car park and then the sea was a lovely spot to sit in in the sun. Conference facilities were excellent. But it does feel a bit tired in places, some of the furnishings are slightly dated, needs some paint. No shower gel. No mini bar or snacks. Robe hidden in a draw so I only found it on the last day! TV not easy to find the right channel. Gym is ok has no free weights. As I said, all relatively minor things and I really enjoyed my stay and could easily get 5* with a few minor changes.

The hotel is very beautiful. It will be great for our wedding pictures. We are booking it for a wedding. The lady that was helping us has been there since the hotel was built. There are a lot of extras included.

Fantastic location, our room had a great view of the Bay and a nice little patio. Free parking for guest, and the room was quite large. We will definitely be back.

We went to a wedding there. The ceremony was held adjacent to the hotel in a little gazebo area outside, and the reception at the building next to that. It was nice having everything all in the area. The hotel itself is clean and cozy, but we didn't stay there. Theres a little strip mall attached to the venue. The town itself was quaint and peaceful. Overall, It was a nice experience!

Got married here years ago. Beautiful venue, and Nancy took care of us well. The price tag is a bit high, but it was worth every penny because we didn't have to worry about much, and our guests didn't have to shuttle from place to place (ceremony, reception and banquet can easily all be done here). Since we got married, they built a permanent building to replace the tent they had outside. And it's gorgeous.

The Oceano is one of our favorite places to visit. The people that work here are some of the nicest people around. They are always trying to make your stay the best it could be. We will be coming back for years to come. Thanks to the whole staff at the Oceano!

This place is Awesome! We stayed here for our honeymoon and the inn was absolutely beautiful! The rooms are amazing and the staff go above and beyond to assist you with any of your needs. The view and restaurants by the harbor are great. Definitely stay here!

Spent 4 nights here while visiting our son who lives in Half Moon Bay. Loved this hotel. My only complaint — the first night we were there we were in their front building. It was disgusting. The rooms were small and, while generally clean, they were worn down and shabby. I went to the desk to ask for a different room and they moved us to the 'main' building. It was like a completely different hotel. We were told the 'other' building was a B&B that they'd purchased but wasn't quite up to their regular standards. If you choose to stay at the Oceano (and I HIGHLY recommend it), make sure you're in the main building. You won't be disappointed.

Oceano has been excellent to us so far during our wedding planning. If they had waited a few days to ask for my review I could give a better review since my wedding is this Sunday. But so far, the food we tasted was great, the staff is immensely helpful, and the place is very scenic. I have no reason to doubt this will be an excellent place to have our wedding.

My mom and I were there for a wedding and we got a room from the wedding party for the night. The room was amazing; the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. I wish I had more time in there! The wedding was at the hotel, and the hotel staff was amazing when it came to customer service, the reception, the cleanliness, everything! Loved it, would definitely stay again.

The ocean theme is not overdone. It is a very nice hotel within walking distance of a few great places to eat. The bar restaurant is casual.

Grand Oceano Suite was beautiful and amazing! Great service and friendly staff. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

The moslitcautiful wedding venue by the sea that we've seen so far! We thought we wouldn't be able to afford Oceano but after sitting down with the really kind and detail-oriented catering coordinator, Nancy we found that their pricing is quite reasonable especially given the fact that it is all inclusive. Oceano does a great job of customizing their wedding packages and making their clients feel very valued. The ballroom is one of the best we've seen so far as is the Outdoor ceremony site and indoor Gate House for the backup ceremony site. Chiavari chairs are included already in the package as are candle lit centerpieces. Everything is so impressive and we are seriously considering Oceano hotel as one of our top two wedding venues.

We stayed at the Inn, which is in a separate building next door from the main hotel and has a quaint cottage feel. Room has vintage furniture but has recently been renovated. Bathrooms have new fixtures and furnishings. Fireplace in the inn rooms is great — flip a switch for instant ambiance. No central heating but you get a portable AC/heater in room. Harbor facing rooms will hear the foghorn from the harbor.

The rooms are amazing the staff is very helpful and polite. The breakfeast was a little pricer 17 a person. The food was avergae. Overall the stay is very pleasent though. The room has a nice view of the harbor as well.

Really rude service. Came up to help a friend u load, and as soon as entering the room, he received a call from the front desk demanding that we all leave immediately or else he will not receive back his deposit.

Pluses: the rooms are roomy and well decorated. The temperature is great. And Princeton-by-the-sea is a great area to walk around. Minuses: the curtains do not cover all the windows, so it gets bright in the morning. The foghorn constantly sounds, keeping my wife up. The Hotel is aware of these things, and provides earplugs and an eye cover. But I think getting curtains to cover all the windows would not be that hard.

Nice, cute room. Somewhat small beds, didn't look like queens. Good breakfast, and decent service. Great location.
