What an amazing time we had at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the concierge’s assisted with getting us a reservation on Friday night before the county went purple and you were no longer able to eat indoors. Everyone practiced social distancing, wore their masks, and sanitized the hotel frequently. Even the elevators had self sanitizing buttons, pretty cool! We felt safe at all times. Our suite was amazing and the views were beautiful. Thankfully the weather was also really nice. Not much open but it was great to just get away and relax by our in-suite fireplace while watching Hallmark Christmas movies together with our puppies.

This is such a beautiful place right in Ghirardelli Square. Nice views of the bay and good dining/restaurant options all over North Beach.

Car got broken into a few blocks from Ghirardelli square while we ate ice cream there. : (Ice cream was really good though. :D.

Great little shops, restaurants, and beer garden. Everyone is really nice there. Views are fabulous and it's worth spending at least an hour at when you're in San Francisco.

I went around here for someplace to eat and to see the Ghirardelli Square for the first time. The restaurant we chose had excellent service and was situated at a great location. The food was pricey for the portion, but the taste made up for it.

Great place to go hangout grab a drink, dessert, or enjoy other people's company. Employees were very kind and helpful. Would definitely go back, no complaints at all.

The staff there was incredibly respectful. It's a nice establishment and they were polite, but weren't intimidating like the staff of similar high end places can be. Soaps and toiletries were top notch. Great experience overall.

Off the street you can view a long line to the Ghirardelli cafe but if you walk into the square a little further you will come across a shop which serves the exact same items as the other location. It will save you time and you will enjoy the hot fudge sundaes while seated. You're welcome.

What a pleasant experience at this this particular location! Everyone was very personable and addressed my wife and I by name. The entire staff were attentive and appeared eager to assist in any way possible. The room was very comfortable and clean with nightly turn down service. Highly recommend to anyone!

4 full whole owner condos in this Private residence club… Mustard Terrace unit for sale — direct view of the bay. Private balcony with attention to detail. Interior has been partially upgraded.

I didn't know that Ghirardelli was a tourist spot. Very nice staff and location. Of course the ice cream was amazing.

Only 1d in but so far the exceptional staff is the stand out here — location very nice (be aware you're in the most touristy section of SF both a + & —). The accomodations are well above average, esp if you get a room with a view of the bay! Amenities galore but not all are obvious (diaper genies / power banks / even a car for 2m radius for example) so check with the concierge if there's anything at all.

Excellent place to fall in San Fran. A few steps from my favorite seafood restaurant on the pier. The staff were very friendly and helpful. What more to ask. Nothing to do with hotel chains! Authentic, real! I love this town!

Great location, close to Fisherman's Wharf, nice view of alcatraz, and a few blocks from our hotel. Went to Ghirardelli for dessert… your really can't go wrong with Ghirardelli ice cream.

The staff was very helpful. The rooms were large and very nice. I would definitely stay there again.

Stopped in quickly while out at the square. We had a quick drink. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

What's not to love about a world renown chocolate factory. Beautiful Oceanside view plenty of space to relax and move around and they give tons of free sample!

I didn't know her and I was there to go see the Statue of Liberty at Ellis Island. Well I admit that it is less famous than other parks in New York but it is really charming and a green and magical corner that looks towards the Liberty Tower and behind the beautiful skyline of Manhattan.

Very nice place, friendly staff. Didn't stay long, but definitely would return.

Stopped by for an ice cream dessert after dinner at Fisherman's Wharf. Great service, and of course, the chocolate was wonderful.

The suite is amazing. Our balcony is right in giardelli square and the room itself is beautiful!

I went with a friend to the Ghirardelli Square and we explored the Ghirardelli shop. The chocolate ice cream there was delicious, as was the option to buy as many chocolate bars as we could fit in a $10 usd box. It was a lot of fun and I'd recommend you go there and check it out at night.

It was really crowded and busy. I went with a lot of friends so it was a little chaotic. The food is a little expensive but it is a really good experience. The location was nice the service was good too.

Loved the vicinity of Ghirardelli Square. Took the cable car here (loved the cable cars) and then walked around. Definitely recommend!

Well-kept hotel with a beautiful lobby and excellent employees who are happy to answer questions. The location is fantastic in Ghiradelli Square, nearby downtown and walking distance to several public transit services.

Beautiful Christmas decorations, a true 2 story gingerbread house! Easy to walk to, and everyone was friendly, though it was busy.

The place was crowded due to holiday season. It was fun, however, enjoying and shopping for chocolates there.

This opinion is only the base on the facade, as architectural heritage building is simply beautiful, striking and imposing.

Great ambience/atmosphere, also near many great places for food and drinks. Blocks away from Pier 39. Very touristy area for those from out-of-town. Rooms are nice and clean, and the service was amazing.

My stay at the Fairmont was lovely. I loved that it was so easy to access Ghirardelli Square! We spent most of our nights on the patio by the fire pit, it was a great way to enjoy the evening without freezing.

Very nice hotel On the old chocolate factory Nice brick buliding and historic building Sometime if you get lucky you get the view of the bay But it's super pricey.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The customer service is impeccable. The rooms and beautiful and spacious. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are large with nice showers. The views are great. I can't recommend it highly enough.

This place is great to be in. Stayed for a event in SF across the bay. The place is decent. The neighbothood has many places to eat and places to chill. It is a tourist attraction site.

Located right next to fisherman's wharf as well as being close to many tram/bus lines so you can move to popular destinations conveniently. It is within walking distance of many food and shopping options too.

Beautiful hotel in historic location. The service was amazing. Loved wine and cheese hour along with the complimentary breakfast. The shuttle service is really convenient. All around a fantastic, high class experience.

The customer service is first rate. The accomadations are amazing with unbelievable views and the location is great. We have been here two days so far and have not used our car but walked or asked and the hotel car service was available to take us within a 2 mile radius which is perfect for all the sights.

This is a really nice apartment style hotel so it has very big rooms. You get all the amenities of an apartment including a full kitchen and washing machine / dryer. All the fittings are of high standard and well maintained. It is also conveniently located in the same square as Ghirardelli Chocolates and a number of restaurants and has a great view of San Francisco harbour. Fisherman's Wharf and the Cable Car stop are within easy walking distance just down the road. It is not cheap but if you are after apartment style facilities with hotel service it is highly recommended.

Everyone is very friendly, welcoming, professional. It truly was our home away from home. Two negatives: fitness facility, and not a great "city view" from our room, but we were so close to everything and the views from the terraces were outstanding, so it really wasn't a negative. Will recommend to friends and family.

Great location with surrounding restaurants, cable car access, small beach, and of course Ghirardelli chocolate. The beds are really comfortable, the free happy hour (5-6pm) and breakfasts are great, and the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Service is also excellent. We love coming back whenever possible.

Really a nice FiDi luxury hotel. A friend of mine come into town on business and stayed here. I was really impressed. Its gorgeous inside and the rooms were so comfy-looking.

Had the worse time with yes it is a 5 star location but 1 star minus service!
My hubby got hurt while running was in the hospital. I got a call at 12pm we were due to leave that day. Michel the front desk guy with sound bites as away of handling guests Type of a talker "we try to do the best" but meant I care zero for you!
We spend so much and got the worse service! 4 dollars for bottle of water in the room?! With 3200 dollars charge for two nights! Rip off with stupid guests that have more money that sense!
Will not return!

This is one of, if not the best hotel I have a ever stayed at. My wife and I are now considering in buying a unit here because of the location and overall impeccable style of this Fairmont. The staff was so friendly and the food was great. Definitely going to be back soon.

More like an apartment than a hotel, is a great destination in San Francisco. Distance is close to the fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge, this is a luxurious mansion-style hotel. We lived in a two room apartment, full kitchen and seating area in the room. Is a good place to be able to relax and enjoy the city.

Loved our stay at the Fairmont Ghirardelli. Great location awesome suite and rooftop patio. Staff were attentive to all our needs. Was the perfect place to end our vacation!

Friends of mine have a unit here and great all around from the Jordan at valet to the wine bar.

Room and view are very nice which meets 5 star. However, the rest is just 3 star level. This is not a normal hotel. They look like they transform the unrented luxury apartment to a small hotel. They r very short on staff because they do not hire many people. All the calls from the room have to go to front desks first which always put u on hold. In room dining is the worse! They take out foods from the restaurants from the square plaza for your in room dining, but they never update the menu booklet in the room, and only have very least choices. When you request in room dining, hotel staff give you attitude. And, their breakfast is like 2 start hotel. The only things you get are boiled eggs, some fruits and cereal. As for valet, they charge you double the money if you park yourself. And, they crack my mounted detector on the windshield. Overall, this hotel is way overpriced with the untrained staff. You pay five star hotel price for 3 star services. All I can say "This is the worse 5 star hotel I every stay! "
