The security guards (they are not the event's guards cuz they wore the same suits) need to quit harassing guests who attend events at the hotel. It might be racisim towards Asians, but they better stop this behavior or someone will go to the news media.

The hotel is charging a smoking fee of $ 250, when it is certain that we stayed 4 days at the hotel and never lit any cigarettes inside the room. There was no window in the rooms and the possibility of lighting any cigarette is just non-existent. We are trying to reverse this situation with management.

I’d like to report an improper charge in my last stay at Zetta Hotel! They charged my credit card for a “deep cleaning” claiming for a smoking issue that didn’t happened! We didn’t smoked inside the room (one of the guest are allergic by the way and we selected a non-smoking room considering this situation) and they didn’t reply our questions proving this! Everything was clean enough and this charging aren’t right!

Great hotel, nice spacious rooms, friendly staff, superb location. Not sure about the amenity charge but otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel in a very central location, we were able to walk around SF and explore without using much public transport. Our room was spacious and clean and the staff were very polite, friendly and hospitable — Ria in particular. We also made use of the gym and the hotel were able to keep our bags for us after checking. Overall would recommend.

The staff is very accommodating and it's so conveniently located near the BART and the mall. Good size rooms compared to others in the city and the Cavalier restaurant is definitely a treat!

Pretty cool place. Went there for cocktails. Bartender was very friendly and recommended some cool appetizers. Drinks were tasty. Try the olives — marinated in vodka, and served with pearl onions. When you're done eating them, you're supposed to take the shot of liquid that remains in the ramekin. It's supposed to resemble a dirty martini.

Good location, and they provide free water bottles in room. Uncomfortable beds and pillows, widows look out at walls or other windows just a few feet away. Even if you book a prepaid room rate, they charge another $25 per night, so if you're traveling on business you still have to submit an expense report.

Loved my stay here. I can't stand SF, but have to go for work. This place almost made me forget I was there. The staff was kind and attentive, the rooms were nice, and it was actually quiet.

In the heart of San Francisco;
Charming and fun hotel, caring and attentive staff, rooms with all the comforts, I will really miss the bed of an amazing wraparound comfort and the hair dryer (top) hard to find in the hotels! parking is very expensive about 60 dollars a day plus taxes, a few meters there are other more affordable parking.

Very cool hotel here From the front desk service, free billiards, shuffle board, & VR booth that was amazing. It just put you in many different places. The bar was always crowded at night. We did not try try the restaurant but it smelled good. I would come back here.

I can only speak for the bar experience, which is great. Loads of fun games, very delicious old fashioned. Don't forget the Icelandic beer.

The best thing about the hotel is location. It’s next to Westfield shopping center and Powell station is very close so it was convenient to commute. Other things were mediocre I would say, probably not great for the price. I sent emails to ask questions upon my arrival, but they never responded. I requested to change rooms which I appreciated as they accepted very nicely, but the shower in the second room was a bit of pain in the neck. It’s a small thing but stressful when you’re staying more than 10 nights. The room service was hideous on the first night. I needed to repeat my order for 3 times because the guy picked up the phone didn’t know what they serve. I needed to call them back for 4-5 times to check if my order got through before my meal finally arrived after 2hrs. They said it was on the house but they served 2 plates of what I ordered for some reason. I wouldn’t return for my long stay in the future.

Very upscale kitchy. The bedding is top quality and yes full feather pillows. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The location is ideal if shopping is on your list and just a 5-10 minute walk to the Ferry building. Don't miss Marianne's the very cool speakesy connected to the hotel. Food service from the Cavalier was outstanding and the whole scene is fun and intimate. We'll be back!

This review is just for the bar/lounge area. Very cool area to go for drinks after work. Nice plentiful seating. Has a pool table, VR gaming area, soccer ball plinko, and ping pong. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Drinks are kinda pricey and bartenders are not the fastest. But overall I would recommend Hotel Zetta for a great place to mingle and drink.

The game lounge is pretty cool. They also provide $10 mini-bar credit for participating in their go green initiative which is nice.

Great place with style and good service.

Quiet, clean, and comfortable. This hotel hits the basics and everything else is icing to me. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I had an issue checking in and they held my bags while it was being taken care of and I appreciated it. I also appreciate the security. The elevator is only usable with a room key. The in-room amenities are great and has everything you need. Including extra blankets (which I needed). The bar and hang out areas are great. I've spent time there before with friends, but this was my first stay. Would recommend. It's in an excellent location as well.

Absolutely The Best! Let me first start out by saying that I have been traveling on business and personal for over 20 years and have stayed in many hotels, international & domestic. Hands down, THE BEST hotel experience I have ever had staying anywhere! And the best staff ever! Staff were friendly, accommodating and no request was too big nor too small to fulfill. Lobby was cool and stylishly designed — — even had a cool VR room to experience. Lobby was small, but not cramped and served the space perfectly which blended into the surroundings marvelously. Rooms were tidy, clean, stylish and good size for a "boutique hotel". Bathroom was big and amenities were upscale and plentiful. My special request before I arrived was fulfilled and without question or hesitation. If you want a great boutique hotel in the heart of the city at a great price, this will be your go-to hotel! We will be staying here on our next visit coming up in the spring for sure. And if their sister properties (The "Z" hotels) are anything like the Zetta, I will be leaving a favorable reviews for those properties too!

The hotel lobby is large and equipped with many seating options. A lot of emphasis was also placed on the design. Also worth mentioning is the playroom on the 2nd floor: pool table, ping pong, shuffleboard, TV etc…
The room is large, modern and stylishly furnished! The bed soft and comfortable… The view from the window rather sober, view of the courtyard! But it didn't bother us.
Bathroom spacious and equipped with large shower!
Safe, iron and board, desk and armchair are also provided.
The location on 5th Street is great! On foot you are at Unionsquare in 5 to 10min! The Marketstreet shopping street is just around the corner.

Fantastic location with easy access to all Union square activity and public transportation. The hotel has a nice modern boutique look. Classy but certainly not pretentious. The room I had was perfect. Every expected amenity including a safe is provided. The bed was comfortable and despite the urban location it was perfectly quiet at night inside. There is valet parking only but it's the usual San Fran pricing so expect to pay around $60/night. Nearby lots offers overnight parking for less if you don't mind a bit of a walk.

Really cool place with open concept bar/lounge area and a 2-level game area. Had complimentary VR room for guests to use in the evenings. Well-decorated rooms with thoughtful selection of mini-bar and snacks. 4/5 because the ice machine on our floor didn't work and the shower door in the bathroom had screws coming out of the wall.

Is a great place! The fire alarm went off the first night due to a guest but that is out of the hotels control so I can't blame them. It did let us see the awesome art on the steps though.

We were there for a holiday party. Didn't stay so can't speak to the rooms. Upstairs was a nice space with a shuffle board, some Jenga, and a ping pong table. Not sure if that's typically there or just for the event.

Zetta was very clean, and well located (says someone who's been to SF once). Technically the room photos are accurate, but my room felt much bigger, and less cozy than expected. Not a terrible thing. IMPORTANT NOTE: They add a $22/night charge to cover bottled water, coffee, gym and Wi-Fi which inflates the nightly rates. This is not expressed until the end of booking, and cannot be waived.

Hotel Zetta is a very chic boutique hotel just off of the financial district in San Francisco. The staff were friendly, kind, and very helpful, but I thought that in general the amenities were more style than substance. My bed was very large and the sheets were crisp and clean, but the bed itself was quite stiff and not very comfortable. The exercise room has lots of new looking cross fit equipment and plenty of room to use it, but the cardio machines were a older and occasionally frustrating to use. I can't say enough good about the restaurant and hotel staff, but I wasn't enamored of this hotel. Instead, I recommend going to it's sister hotel, the Zelos, just a couple of blocks away.

Hip hotel in a convenient location. Rooms are big for SF and staff are extremely courteous. Great food in walking distance. There was a private party going on during my stay, but despite the crowd and music my room was peaceful. Will be back!

I am a bit slow writing my review, but, I stayed here a while back. This was an amazing hotel, right in the heart of San Fran. I loved the decor, and the games room. The service was also fantastic. If I go back to San Fran, I will stay here again.

Great alternative hotel. Funky lounge, bar and game space. Alternative eatery. Spacious rooms and a decent little gym too.

What can I say about this hotel. Is it beautiful yes. Is it blocks away from all the other beautiful hotels yes. Is it a few turns away from the tenderloin yes. Is that the reality of being in downtown San Fransisco. It's not bad. Harmless and safety is of no questions. The service of this hotel is outstanding, they knew it was my gf's birthday they left a card and a half bottle of sparkling wine in the room a wonderful gesture. AC was broken the first night when we got there. Let them know in the morning they checked it out right away, and put a window unit, but also offered to switch rooms. They communicated by email the whole day and had someone come up to our room to switch keys as they timed everything. It was all a wonderful touch. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall this boutique hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff was very helpful and kind. Only down side is that there were quite a few hidden charges. I still recommended this place, just be mindful things will add up.

Pretty great hotel! Room was nice, clean and modern. Staff was helpful. Room service was a bit greasy and difficult to order from, wouldn't order it again. All in all I had a really good stay. Will be booking here again when I'm back in SF.

Design, state of the rooms is excellent.

The Zetta deserves by all means all the good reviews they get. The concierge and front desk staff were always so helpful. Rooms are nice and clean and service is good. However on Monday night 5th of December at 11:30pm, the bartender lady was extremely rude. She acted pissed off if you were asking for drinks and this was a big disconnect from the rest of the experience. She made many of us feel not welcomed and uncomfortable.
Except from that, and if this situation is fixed, it is an awesome place.

This is the hippest boutique hotel ever (even better designed than Kimptons). The art and detail was incredibly well thought out with an contemporary industrial feel. The game room and soccer ball plinko wall adds a special touch. The rooms are spacious and everything is super modern. The front desk staff are so hospitable — they are easy to chat with, give lots of tips, and always have a smile. Union Square is a bit too touristy and commercial for my tastes, but it's central so it's super easy to get anywhere else.

Two used condoms fell out of the curtains when I've drawn it down. Not surprised house keeping didn't find it during cleaning (who hides condoms in the curtains? ). But response time was disappointing. Took two phone calls to front desk and 30 minutes to respond for housekeeping to pickup the condoms with gloves. He didn't even think about wiping up the area if I didn't mention that to him. Makes me notice and be paranoid of every little smudge and stains on walls and headboard.

In town for a business conference at Moscone Center, chose Hotel Zetta for its location and uniqueness. Frontdesk staff were beyond helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed the upscale, modern room with European furnishings, walk-in tiled shower, and in-room espresso machine. True fitness room for modern fitness styles with all the requisite equipment (exercise balls, multiple types of hand weights, benches, mats). Bonus find was the place next door with great coffee, breakfast, fresh fruit/yogurt and green smoothies. Would definitely stay again.

Nice game room. Comfortable and well equipped rooms. Check in was easy and quick. Bar had a good selection of mixed drinks.

This hotel is great for an adult getaway. I went with my husband for a weekend in San Francisco and loved our stay. They have a game room with pool, shuffle board, and ping pong. It's located on Market St next to a lot of fun shops. The restaurant that's attached has very tasty British food.

Beautiful and classy place. Atmosphere at night is amazing. Very friendly staff, took care of any questions I quickly and promptly. Good location to get around.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The room was big, with lots of amenities. There was an an excellent desk to work at and free Illy Coffee to make in the morning. The bed was comfortable. The service from the staff was really great. They always made sure everything was fine with the stay. The lobby is a wonderful place to grab a drink and hang out. I had room service for breakfast and it was delicious. Perfect location, right next to the Powell Street BART, so easy to get to from the airport.

Just the best! Our absolute favorite hotel in the city. Chris ann and the other professionals at check in always greet us like old friends. Rooms are stylish and have all the modern amenities. Every from door man to desk to valet and housekeeping treat you like you're family. Wonder experience because of the wonderful people at Zetta.

When we plan to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of when we want something special in San Francisco, here is such a place. Very, very special, fun, soft, young, it will be great to have room, nice lighting, comfortable bed and a workspace, great showers and sanitary ware. Best of all the staff. We felt right at home. Haixier Manager and her staff at the front desk, especially Sean as well as in front of Zhuo Sefu, are particularly good. Thank you, they let us in San Francisco for a few days …

Clean and modern rooms and amenities. Friendly helpful staff. Great collection of art to add a little something extra to the stay. Slightly noisy on the 3rd floor being between the gym and games room above and below respectively.

What to say about this place? Full of loud Hipsters, less than friendly staff, and a room that looked like a college dorm. The honor bar had a lover's kit for sale with, well use your imagination. This place might be cool for 20 somethings, but my wife and I who were on a honeymoon didn't really enjoy our stay here. Don't bring your car here unless you're willing to pay $55 for valet service. Forget breakfast, although there is a nice little deli across the street. Oh, and something outside our window made a ton of noise when rained on. It was like a piece of tin or something. So all night we heard "smash, smash, smash. " Maybe we're just too old.

We stayed at Hotel Zetta on my best friend's bachelorette trip, and they were awesome. The first night, we were complimented champagne and chocolates, and during our stay, there was no hesitation when we asked for more towels or had any questions. We were 4 girls who stayed in the double queen room — it was huge and so beautiful. Amazing staff and gorgeous hotel.

Was there first weekend of December. Great price, good area (if you stayed in the Union Square area and don't venture into the Tenderloin), and the room was gorgeous. Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at. There's a parking lot a couple blocks down Mission that was $30/day.

I was told this was a remodel of the old Hotel Milan and having nothing to base the comparison on I was very surprised by Zetta. First off it's small. It's right before Nordys on 5th if you are going to Market in Union Square. Small valet curb and $50 parking per day with in and out priveldges. Paid for either up front or through the room. What a lobby. Very cool, modern, chic yet fun. A irow welded industrial looking dog guards the doorway while a wine bottle wall is the background of the lobby bar. It's a craft bar so most spirits are locally sourced and not national brands. No Makers, but Buffalo Kiss, no Ciroc, but another local favorite. They just bought the restaurant next door and will stock that with more traditional spirits. Beer selection is small, but the suede long couch comfortable chairs and hip tables along with a soccer plinko wall, upstairs lounge on top of the louge (pool, skeeball, additional games and quiet corners) is a bit of an adult playground of entertainment. Thoughtfully appointed decorations and a friendly staff. The set up reminded me of Vegas with the long hallways, mirrors, etc. The rooms were the prize having clean sheets, comfortable mattress, desk, hardwood floors, plenty of room and amenities like a hidden fridge, excellent selection of art. The bathroom was modern with an all glass door, plenty of room, but the towel hanger was a hole in the glass that seemed off and would lead to water leakage.

Hotel Zetta is wonderful! The lobby and bar area are comfortable and great to work from when remoting in to work. Front desk staff were extremely kind and personable. Rooms were super clean and comfy.

Decent boutique hotel. For the price I kinda expected more. Although the room I was in was fairly large… so that was a plus.

For the amount that I was charged and the actual service (or lack of) — i. E. Only snack menu, no room service after 11, no on demand movies, safety box and hair dryer malfunctioning. Staff bringing me toilet paper to 'keep the window open'; totally not work the 4 stars as a hotel. I expected more, and I paid more for less. The worst part was when the keys stopped working and they were not very friendly about it. Like, 'where's your I. D? ' I understand security but I don't understand unfriendly attitudes. Wish I was giving a more positive review. The Cavalier was fun though, that's a fun place with the bar downstairs too…

Staff is super friendly. Lots to do in the game room and very unique decor all over! The gym is pretty cool also.

I stayed at Hotel Zetta for a long birthday weekend recently and was extremely happy with everything! Besides the convenient and close proximity to the Powell St. Station (easy BART ride from the airport) and Union Square, our room was welcoming and comfy, the front desk staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, their in-house restaurant, The Cavalier, had the yummiest food at very reasonable prices (plus the people at the restaurant were just lovely and made sure everything was perfect). The hotel even sent up a bottle champagne to our room on my birthday, which was completely unexpected and wonderful. Can't wait to go back, probably in the fall. This place has my business for life. :) Thank you, Hotel Zetta!

I have stayed here twice and it is my favorite hotel. It is around the corner from a slew of retail stores and restaurants. Blue Bottle is a short walk across the street if you like great coffee. The Cavalier is a top notch restaurant that is attached to the hotel and is a must try. The decor of the hotel and rooms are very unique and modern. The art that adorns the lobby and bedrooms exemplifies San Fransisco creativity and originality. The lobby bar fills with people around 5 and is a great happy hour spot. The staff is fantastic and are always standing by to help with anything you need. I would highly recommend Zeta to anyone visiting San Fransisco.

Really cool place. Games area was great for kids (and Dad) until they closed it for a private event. Rooms weren't what we hoped. We booked a suite and our friends had a double. The suite was very poor value compared to the double. Three times the price for much the same room with less space than two rooms.

Great hotel and staff. Highly recommended and well priced. Really enjoy the lounge and bar area. Rooms are def minimalistic chic. My go-to SF hotel. 5 stars for Zetta.

I'm a big fan of their public spaces. Got a great "SF" vibe with cool things to keep you occupied. Staff is attentive and easy to deal with. Great place to meet with clients that isn't too far from the hustle/bustle of FiDi. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Zetta. We have no expectations when it was booked and went with a completely open mind. It was a superb experience! We loved it! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and very hi-tech and modern. The entire facility was just "COOL". Cool art work, cool gadgets in the room, even an Illy Expresso Machine in the room! The location of the hotel was in a great area of SF, walking distance to shopping, dining, and entertainment. We can't wait to return.

I haven't stayed in Hotel Zetta yet, but I did have to opportunity to enjoy yoga in their well-appointed fitness centre. This hotel has a pleasing and somehow calming post-modern look. The staff are friendly and professional. The lobby features a statue of dog seemingly built of metal dominoes. The furniture in the lobby and the mezzanine is quite comfy.

I have not stayed here, but went to their 1-Year Anniversary party recently and was given a tour of one of their suites. Obviously, since they've only been around for one year, the suite was very clean and modern. On the second floor of the hotel, there is the Playroom with plenty of classic board games, as well as billiards, shuffleboard and video games. A full bar is located in the lobby. The hotel is convenient located off of Market and Powell.

Love to stay here again when I get another chance. What alot of people didn't take notice of. When you enter the hotel there is a wall with alot of pictures of faces. Which represents the Prisioners of Alcatraz. A must see location when you visit San Fransisco.
