This place has gone downhill since Aramark took over. Cheap setup, little tiny speaker for their sound system, unprofessional employees, and you have to walk all the way across the street for any sort of purchase because for whatever reason, the employees can't handle transactions. Ridiculous.

Closed even though it said it was open.

The tent cabins are about the same as they were under the old concessionaire but the blankets are thin fleece instead of thin wool. Much less warm. And the food is worse than it used to be. It's as classic captive audience problem. Thin bacon and lousy coffee. But then again, I was there for the rock, not the restaurant, and the location is what really matters. And happily the pizza is just as I remember.

I just love everything about Yosemite have been tent camping (usually in upper pines camp ground) sence I was a baby my family has been camping long before my mother was born there are so many things I can say about different camping trips never a dull moment being in such beauty there are no words to truly describe the grand our and majesty those of you out there that have been camping or did camp at Yosemite easily 50 years ago know about the fire fall it is not something that is talked about much but you can still see the "burn marks" on the side of Glassier Point it was done nightly and one night when my mother was young they let her call down the fire fall it is a time that is very special for her I have a gazillion pictures taken over the years Yosemite is a place you should see if you ever get the chance my grandparents camped there my parents camped there I have camped there and some day I hope to camp there with husband and kids when I get them of course in closing Yosemite is a place I have loved all my life and it is definitely somewhere you should put on your bucket list.

We stayed in a tent at half dome village while we visited Yosemite. The tents were nice, with an electric light. Ours didn't have an outlet but most did (you should bring a power strip). The location was very convenient, a bus stop right next to the camp can be used to get around the valley. Staff was friendly.

So we booked the cabin just a day before the trip and were not sure of what's gonna be in store for us. We came to the half dome village and went straight to the cabin which was a small wooden room with nice beds and was maintained properly. We were concerned about the shared bathrooms but they were also very clean and well maintained which was much appreciated. Although a tad expensive compared to the hotel, the wooden cabins were the best that you can get in the national park besides the mammoth half dome.

Systematic service even after being crowded! A place of great relief for energy restoring after a strenuous hike!

I stay at Halfdome Village several times a year. This was my first time with my whole family… and they absolutely LOVED it! Halfdome Village is the perfect mix of camping and staying in a hotel, plus it is pretty affordable. It's pretty rare to be able to sleep in a comfy bed in the heart of a National Park. Great option for people traveling with the elderly or children.

Multiple options to stay here. Camp sites are cheap but no showers. Signature tents have shared bathrooms and showers. Stonehouse cabins include bathrooms. Shuttle makes it convenient to park and take shuttle everywhere.

We had an unheated canvas tent in February. We used our sleeping bags (rated 25 degrees) along with their provided wool blankets and we survived lol. Showers were readily available (at 6 a. M. At least) and the check-in and out process was a breeze. They had a really cool Lodge area where all guests would huddle up and play board games or use the Wi-Fi. It was pretty small, but that added to the ambiance. The canvas tents were perfect for what we needed… a place to sleep with comfortable enough mattress.

Very personable customer service with a fun, organized, and safe atmosphere. It's an extremely busy "camp ground" that the staff does a good job of managing like a resort. The experience of camping and luxury of hospitality was perfect for staying in the valley.

Amazing place. Great personnel. Free Wi-Fi in the lounge if you're a visitor at Curry Village or one of the nearby hotels. Curry Village Wi-Fi code (last name and tent number "Cnnnn") works at the Ahwahnee as well. Beware of its speed or lack thereof though.

Lovely little (if pricey) cabins. Absolutely lovely location with easy access to the best trails in Yosemite National park. Nice and reasonably priced food at the restaurant.

COOKING IS NOT PERMITTED * FOUL ODOR * RACOONS EVERYWHERE AT NIGHT * NO PLACE TO SIT OUTSIDE THE TENT Looks cute and I was excited, but to my surprise, the inside of the cabin smelled musty, it was awful and signs of the hantavirus is everywhere! Ew! So disappointed. I was not expecting anything fancy, I love to tent camp and on this particular trip I was van camping. I was looking forward to staying here. Be aware you can not cook or have food anywhere near your tent, especially inside. It must be stored in bear box just outside the tent. The raccoons are everywhere at night! The Bears are not an issue here, it's the raccoons! If you are thinking you'll get up in the a. M. To make coffee and scramble eggs… think again, not allowed. There is not even space to sit outside your tent. Most will go to the curry lodge and connect to Wi-Fi since it's the only place it's available. Dine at Curry Village dining area where they offer Pizza and a coffee shop. There is a grocery and gift shop as well. Based on the great location and shuttle access it gets 2 stars. I won't be staying here again and would not recommend it.

Wonderful experience and staff! I'd only like to give feedback on the food waste we saw in the cafeteria at Curry Village. Considering America's 'greatest idea' is our national parks, we should also consider one of our greatest shames and that's food waste. I'd suggest ala carte so as not to encourage people to take what they won't eat. I hope the unserved food is donated to one of the many safe and healthy organizations that recovers unserved food for redistribution. I hoped to provide this feedback directly to staff but am unsure how — I'm sure many would care about waste in the national park.

I've stayed in Yosemite National Park lodging, including Curry Village's (canvas-walled) tent cabins, many times over the past 50 years. Outside of campground lodging in one's own sleeping bag, the tent cabins are the least expensive accommodation (which was always the primary motivation for staying there). Yet a good night's sleep, actually any night's sleep, has always been hard to obtain in the tent cabins (… and I found, during a stay last week, that that is hard to obtain even in a Curry solid-wall cabin). (By the way, Curry tent cabins were $10 a night in the late 60s and early 70s. Now they are at least $70 a night. Hard-walled cabins without bath are $170 a night. ) The accommodations are certainly clean and satisfactory, and "quiet hours" (10pm to 6am) are mandated. But one needs to factor in the general idiocy and disrespect of the common human. Understanding that based on past experience, and being able to afford what I thought would be an unassailable (sound-proof) environment, I opted for the more-expensive hard walls. Alas, even those are broachable! A family of two adults and six kids piled into cabin 1107 next to my 1110. I was asleep at 9pm, tired after a long day hike. All hell broke loose at 9:45pm. At 10:30pm I checked out the situation: one adult and 3 kids were cooking on the porch, the door was wide open with loud conversation in and out the door.

The Check-In waiting times of inactivity during the week, about 45 min. And on the weekends 2.5 hours! As we are unfortunately on the weekend the "camp" visited, we were allowed 3 hours to wait until we finally get the Zeltschlüssel received. According to demand of other guests were these waiting periods are common. Otherwise we had a pretty good stay. A bear we saw "unfortunately" not, however, visit the camp regularly (in the night).

Very clean tents. Food court had decent food but it's definitely pricy. It's in a great location at the valley floor.

Convenience is the only thing Curry Village has going for it during the colder months. It is wonderfully located in the center of Yosemite. But, the food is highly priced and has very little variety. If you are staying in a Tent Cabin, make sure it's with a heater or during the warmer months. Yosemite does get COLD at night. The people are very nice and helpful. Yosemite is Beautiful, so make sure you bring a Camera. And, make sure that you have clothing for ALL types of weather. RAIN, SNOW, or WARM weather.

Stayed here on New yr Weekend 2014 and I must say its a lovely place to stay in if you are looking some some camping experience in the middle of yosemite valley. The gift shop, grocery shop, lounge, pizza place, shuttle, were all a walking distance. The restrooms were on shared basis but clean. They give you a code which ensures that they are not used by others and just the people allowed. I had taken a heated tent cabin. I should admit that it did get a bit cold at night but with blankets provided it seemed fine.

Great. Cold at night even with the heated tents. Other than that, great place.

Camping-Feeling im Yosemite N. P. :-).

The services are very kind and friendly. However the night is too cold, not warm enough blanket and our cabin heater was broken at night. We can only use small heater. It's very annoy. Even it's fair that they return some money back to us on second day. Wifi can't use in our cabin. I 'd wanted to live better quality room next time: (.

The Mountain Store in Curry Village did the most incredible thing for me last year! They allowed me to return a water bottle that I had damaged within 24 hours of purchasing. They made me feel special and like a true customer, not just a number in the system. Thanks for the incredible customer service.

I was in camp curry for 4 days and ate at thisbuffet about 3 times (we ran out of food, so just kept eating here). On the second time, I got I'll at the restaurant. I asked for a refund and they took me to the managers office and I told them their food gave me food poisoning. I told them I just wanted my $15 back and he said he needed a detailed list of everything I had eaten over the last 3 days. REALLY? I told them I'd just never come here again and he just smiled and said fine. The next day there was nothing to eat, so I was forced to go back here. I went in and all the silverware was filthy and the "clean" plates for the buffet had food stuck on them. I told the other manager and he said their dishwasher wasn't working and they STILL refused to give a refund, saying they just replaced the food. LESSON: Bring lots of your own food, or actually make the long trip to the supermarket before coming to the valley.
