A one of a kind experience! Resort style with hospitality and a full health club for local members and hotel guests. A place to workout, play, relax or just get some work done in a great atmosphere while the kids are checked into daycare!

What a great hotel concept. The fitness center attached to this place is top notch, the kind of place I wish I could have closer to home. The coffee shop serves up smoothies, appropriately enough. Tragically, servers in the restaurant all forgot I existed and wasted a lot of my time.

Really nice Marriott property. Def stay here next time I’m in town. Lots of great amenities.

I recently stayed here with my girlfriend and we enjoyed the ambience a lot. I just wish that the pool/bar area had music or a band on Saturdays. We found ourselves having to go out to enjoy a drink and music.

Large well appointed rooms. Clean and modern. Impressive sports options and a huge pool area with kids area. Good service and location not too far from Laguna Beach and south Orange County cities.

I have been here like four times and it’s always on a weekend either Friday or Saturday and it is the worst bar service ever. Minimum of 15 to 20 minutes for a drink. They get a lot of business and they should really think about adding bar backs or additional bartenders!

We've been to this place before, and nothing like this has ever happened. We had to move to a different room every day for 3 days! (We were staying for a week) and they were all odd reasons. The first reason was because "all the rooms were booked" so we had to sleep in a 1 bed room for the first day (there was 4 of us) The second room, had a broken toilet which smelt like eggs. And when we asked someone to come and fix it, we came back for it to be not fixed, but worse. The third and final room was actually good! Nothing wrong and we got a good view of Laguna. Also they brought cookies. Which was kind. Also, rooms 1 and 2 had views of the vents, which is why I made to two stars.

The Renaissance ClubSport is a hidden gem tucked away in a corner you wouldn't expect to find it. It's a beautifully decorated modern hotel with great views and weather. The hotel is very clean and well maintained with excellent food selection.

Great gym, great pool area. Hotel rooms are reasonably comfortable, clean and appointed. Food is okay needs a bit more flavor.

Great hotel for families and they have a big gym and a little spa. The kids will love the pool and splash pad area and to top it off they have a daycare close to the lobby so you can drop the kiddos off to have some grown up time!

First off the area is super nice! Then the staff at check in and out was super nice and explained everything well. Secondly I got what I asked for and the room smells good plus is up to date and very clean the bathroom is amazing also! Just no balcony! We got a city view room and we can see the outside where the pools are and the city! then we went to the pools it was so nice that they had a kid area it was perfect for my 18 month old since they have their own kid pool 1 1/2 feet down and jacuzzi plus the water park then the regular pools were amazing all pools heated and jacuzzi was super so comfy to top it off they had live music playing at the citrus grill they’re restaurant so it was more relaxing we ate dinner there and the food was super good! We got a package that includes breakfast and it was a buffet which was good but the servers were good!

Our suite had a beautiful view of the pool and hut tub below, as well as the city beyond. Room service was very accommodating and the fitness center was huge! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay overnight near laguna.

This place is the best for a active professional. The gym is the best one that I have across in my travels and the hotel in general is great. I plan to stay here every time I come up to Aliso Viejo.

A great place to stay and is nearby the Irvine Spectrum. It has a full sized lap pool, kids pool, toddler pool and small water park area. It also had a state of the art gym and spa. They also offer kidsworld for $5 pet hour for onsite firsts The room was very clean with soft linens and towels.

Such a beautiful hotel and sports club. Whether you're there to relax in one of their nicely decorated rooms or enjoy the gym, spa amenities they offer. You'll have a great time here. The kid friendly environment is a plus if you're doing a family vacation. They offer a kids pool, slide, and hot tub (warm tub) haha. The bar area is nice and cozy. They have a juice/smoothie bar also for more healthy option. The restaurant offers a nice variety of tastey food. Didn't try the spa which is something we'll do on our next visit.

Good structure, you also eat well and you spend the right. Highly recommended.

Great job with this one will work on it is not the same time as well and that you have any other information in your area on a roll out and then you will have a good time for a while back to me and my family is in a couple days and then you will have a good day to day life and the rest is history of your help me with any of these are all of your help me out with a little more about your order is ready for a few weeks and then I can get the chance of a beautiful place and the other hand if I have to do with it are intended for a while and then you will have a good time for the support and encouragement to be able and I am a bit more than a year.

This is a great hotel for maintaining fitness while traveling. Centrally located for access to both LA or San Diego. Great hiking and beaches close by. I use this hotel for times when I need to unwind and reset with excercise and sunshine.

Pleasant stay, very nice even if it seemed slightly old. Got awesome massages and used the sauna. Comfy bed and decent size room but thin walls and small TV. Would stay again if in the area.

We’ve been here a few times and have always enjoyed our stay. Quiet location next to an office complex. Rooms are clean and modern. Service has always been great. Save yourself some time and utilize the mobile check-in and check-out.

Location is great if you're staying in Aliso Viejo. The access to the full gym and pool are amazing. They have great water play area for kids although we did get kicked out of the kid pool because they were doing some exercise training. We had a view of the roof but you can't win every time. Overall it was a great place to stay.

The ball room is small but they decorate it well. It's good for a work conference oh other formal events.

My membership is almost over.
Part of the reason that I joined was that I wanted to enjoy the outdoor “adult “ hot tub after my workout, but I think I only found it without small children in it about 5 times, when I brought it to the attention to the front desk, they suggested that I use the hot tub in the locker room.
The maintenance crew is great front desk.

Beautiful hotel for a great price thru Marriott. Staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The valets were great, Thu at check in was very helpful and we had a great time in the bar for drinks and snacks. Even the room service attendant was very professional. Overall, a really great hotel experience for a very good price.

This was a beautiful hotel with very nice and comfortable rooms. They bar was nice with good service. A most try is the giant pretzel.

Love this quiet and spacious place to work out and relax. Everything is at your convenience from fresh clean towels to fruit waters. Not your average gym! Totally recommend it for people who are serious about working out or just to relieve stress after a long day.

Quick check in, beautiful place, check the destination before leaving the hotel because you lose the GPS offline between the mountains.

The hotel itself was beautiful, however the room was a bit too warm at night. The complimentary breakfast buffet definitely made up for it though.

Nice hotel and spa. The sports club have racquetball and basketball court. We stayed as hotel guest, staff is great, rooms are clean, the pool and the water playground instructor is nice. Love that they have life guards in all pools are playground. If we would live close by will consider being a club member.

I didn't actually stay at the Renaissance. I visited a couple of friends here and enjoyed the hospitality they provided at their outside patio. Atmosphere was excellent with the fire, the waitress was very attentive to our groups needs, and the fish tacos tasted great!

I have to say this first, the guys who put the weights back on the racks for everyone are saints. I know everyone thinks it's the weight faries cleaning up behind them, but it's not. Shout out to you dudes and dudettes who keep this place amazing. Staff are lovely, facilities are constantly held at an impeccable standard. Very happy to be a member of this club.

The hotel looks great and has a very modern look. Nice rooms but didn't get to explore the amenities. The only thing I didn't like is that they charge $19 for parking and then some $30 room tax after the fact.

Rude customer service at desk. Premiere members and asked for a suite. Non available. Asked for room with two queen beds. Beds are not Queens, they are doubles. No couch. No refrigerator. No roll away. First room they gave us only had one King bed, even though we asked for two beds. Got to the next room, and no air conditioning room was 82°>. We asked for another new room. Estrella at customer service said she's have an engineer come up! At 1 am check in? I don't think so! Asked to pay for a suite the next night — noon available. Overbooked. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Shower had no power. Very disappointed! Only thing this hotel has going for it is the fitness area and pool. That's only reason I give 2 stars.

EPIC FAILURE! I asked front desk to unlock thermostat to lower room temp at 2 pm before leaving hotel for meetings. Came back at 10:30 to find room still hot and thermostat still locked. Was told engineering gone for the day and nothing could be done until next morning. Literally laid there awake and sweating all night. Asked for engineering to come to room immediately upon arrival at 8 a. M. Next morning. Had to call again at 9:30 to get them to come to room. When lead engineer arrived, he unlocked thermostat using his cell phone. This could have been done during the night so I could have slept. Pathetic!

I'm a member at Renaissance and I come to work out and enjoy the pool/sauna area. I love the gym area and that they provide awesome group fitness classes. The restaurant has great food. And the staff is always so friendly. Love this place!

Probably one of the best gyms I have ever been to. You can find a class for any fitness level here and their weight rooms are well organized, clean, and have a wide variety of exercise tools. I especially like the fruit flavored waters available in the gym. The locker rooms are also very clean and spacious. The daycare is also exceptional and the kids always seem to have so much fun playing there. After working out I recommend getting a smoothie at the cafe in the center of the hotel lobby. My only complaint would have to be the sound system in the main gym class room (Gym 1 I think). The amp is turned up too high which causes distortion in the speakers (or the speakers are damaged). They could fix this problem by turning down the volume just a notch or two to make the sound better.

This is my first trip too California and for a business conference at that. The conference is being held at the hotel and everything has been wonderful. The staff have been extremely helpful and genuinely nice! Very accommodating and attentive. The store in the hotel has all of your basic needs plus beautiful items to buy for yourself or others. The hotel is known for its extensive fitness center. The food is delicious.
The views from your room can either be facing out from the front door looking onto the garage. Ehh or it can be looking out onto the pool. If you can try get that view side! They accommodate children and families as well! Even the store has baby necessities for those emergency times.
Bed is very comfortable. Room temp comfortable. Bathroom gorgeous. (Water pressure= not great. But decent enough to get thru)
It is very close to shops and dining as well.
Great experience! Can't wait to return. I would recommend to business travelers, fitness guru's, spa lovers, and some families.

I couldn't agree more. The Renaissance ClubSport is the cure for the common gym. I was bless with a free ONE MONTH VIP PASS! Thank you Renaissance for being such great hosts. METABOLIC MELTDOWN! Hands down my favorite class! Thank you Dawn! This classes is perfect for my workout ideals and has just the right amount of challenge to reasonable amount of pain. Keeping your heart rate up with cardio, lifting weights, and performing plyometrics in a circuit. Bravo! Perfect! YOGA MIX! A very close second place for me. Thank you Jill! At the beginning of every class we access our energy level usually I'm at a one after work and traffic, but by the end of the class I am completely relaxed and feeling great. I like that this class isn't more focused on mind and body. It is not too advanced but that's perfect for what I am looking for in a yoga, to stretch and relax. SCULPT! Ouch! I didn't realize this class is basically Step Class Army Camp. Have you ever wonder how do celebrates women look so great after having multiple kids? Sculpt is the keyword. I worked my butt off in this class and I almost got a butt to the face! Smack! I'm not complaining. This class is ideal for women, not that men can't hang, but a lot of focus on butt, legs, and midsection.

Amazing Place with Amazing food. If your at the Citrus Fresh Grill be sure to pick up their sausage and Apple Wood bacon because those two foods go amazingly together. The design of the hotel is amazing with its large gym its basketball courts and their classes like spinning yoga and boot camp they also have Racket and Squash Ball courts. They have a pool with 5 lap lanes and one family zone and they have a kids water zone. Be sure to walk around Aliso as well because the town center is amazing at night with all the company signs lit up like Edwards Cinema. Buffalo Wild Rings. Cold stone. Chillies and more. The Hotel has a health bar as well. As a family said "The kids zone is amazing and so is the food". The rooms are just amazing. If you are reading this you should visit this place no matter where you are in the world come here and you will want to come back Again and again and Again. The staff is friendly and you don't have to worry about your kids if you go work out because there is a kids zone for infants and toddlers and 3-5 and 6-12 year old's and the care takers are so nice at night if you want a drink and outside after 6 pm the patio of the citrus grill is adults only. There's summer camps there's hallowen events for the kids and lots more. If your in the area hop on over to the Renaissance ClubSport.

Wonderful hotel in Aliso Viejo. Very nice setting, expensive but not outrageous, great pool and gym, very reasonable food and drink choices in the lobby bar/restaurant… A treat to stay there.

Come here every year for a gymnastics meet. Really look forward to staying at the Renaissance Club Sport. The hotel is very bright and modern in styling. It has a full health club right in the same facility which is the easiest to use of any club I've ever been too. Nice pool as well. Beds are really comfortable. The bar and restaurant are surprisingly good. Always marvel at the $$$ cars waiting at the entrance for valet parking.

A) I didn't know this place even existed, we visited friends that were staying there from out of town, wasn't impressed. B) Don't you dare bring in outside food, even if you drop a lot of cash on drinks. The "restaurant" clearly wasn't anything to rave about because I didn't even know it was there — looked like a deli counter or something in the lobby. Wait, there is no lobby to speak of because we were asked me to eat our outside food in the lobby or as another person mentioned, go be shunned to your room. There is literally a small square of couches that consists of the lobby… Ooooookay. The manager (I'm gathering, as he was the 2nd person to move us) went on about us not eating outside food. We had 2 fast food cups sitting next to our drinks from their bar — no food. I tossed the cups & he stood there awkwardly "small talking" at us, I still don't know why — we wanted to visit with our friends, not listen to this guy. We got it, no outside food, even as a paying guest. No outside cups, even when you are drinking from their bar… For the love of God, we got it, now kindly kick rocks. C) After that welcoming experience, please don't try to sell me a membership. Please — we go to Lifetime with the rest of the community & now I know why. D) stay at the Montage.

I go to the gym here and occasionally stop by when im famished or need a Sculpin IPA. Great friendly staff and an awesome prime rib deal on Thursday nights.

Every time I have the opportunity to go to the Renaissance, whether it's for dinner, drinks, work function, overnight stay or to workout… the experience is wonderful! Their cleanliness is spot on, their customer service is amazing and their food is always delicious! I highly recommend it to all of my friends and colleagues!

I love this gyM! Except one of the managers there was rude. But other than her, the staff is great and helpful, and the gym and classes are amazing!

Great place to go when it's hot. We love the pool. They added an outdoor bar last year and it really makes the pool a much better experience. I only wish there were a few less kids at the pool. They need to have an adult only area in my opinion. The gym has to be one of the best around. They have great classes, my favorite being the spin classes. The gym equipment is first class. It's a little expensive but worth it in the end for us since we don't have a pool at home and it's right down the street.

Staffs at Starbuck coffee shop inside the club are not trusted. I have been to hundreds of Starbuck coffee shops everywhere but this is the worst one. Coffee is no good. I can accept it. But if you pay your drink with credit card, watch out. They automatically add 20% tip to your bill without your knowing. It happened to me a few times and I did not know until I reviewed my credit card transactions. A few dollars are nothing and if servers deserve it we are willing to give them more tips but PLEASE STOP DOING YOUR BUSINESS THIS WAY. It isn't honest and customers won't come back after they found out the truth.

Just got kicked out of the hotel lobby for trying to eat dinner (takeout) at 9pm in a half empty lobby. Apparently they are a full service hotel so after a 14 hour work day you must be shunned to your room to eat dinner or be subjected to the overpriced restaurant on premises. We offered to get a few drinks so we weren't non paying customers and then offered to move elsewhere before being told we could only eat in our rooms. In addition thermostats go no lower the 68 which must become 75 in the middle of the night because I wake up sweating. As someone who travels over 100 days a year I won't be back.

It's nice hotel but it's hidden no sign.

Going through the Valet Parking Area is a nightmare, they definetly dont respect the fire lanes; I always see cars parked on the fire lane, giant trucks delivering on the side, usually there is only enough space for 1 car to squeze through.

My wife and I recently stayed with our friends at the Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo — Marriott and had an amazing time. There is a workout facility on site with classes and everything from a full size basketball court to racquetball. All inclusive! They have a nice buffet in the morning and a good indoor and outdoor bar atmosphere. The rooms are clean and fairly updated, so a really nice place to stay with a reasonable price! Melinda is the hotel manager and she is amazing along with the staff! Highly recommend it when looking for a place to stay.

I had booked an appointment for my son and I to go check out this gym, as we are looking for a family gym and this is close and convenient. I made the appointment with "Joy" online to come in and take the tour and find out about the amenities offered. My son and I showed up on time at 4:30. We were greeted by someone on the hotel side. I gave my name and she asked me to take a seat. My son and I waited for 20 minutes, with no one coming to offer us a drink or that the woman would be late. Nothing! So finally, my son and I walk out, asking the front to comp our valet since we did not meet with her. Very unprofessional. Then she had the audacity to text me at 5:02 after we left to ask where I was. Joy did not make me feel very "joyful" and did not represent her company well.

Love this place, has awesome gym and nice modern rooms. Always available on short notice. Only complaint is they charge for parking $10/ day. Friends live close by so we hang mostly with them anyway. The pools are very plain since it's part of gym. The restaurant is pretty nice for breakfast, have full breakfast buffet that is high end. Room also has alarm clock iPhone docking station if your an apple fan. Also bar gets a cool crowd and tonight it was a great place to watch UFC fight.
