The location of this hotel is right across from Disneyland. The rooms were updated and spotless. The housekeeping service was excellent, They even came by after they clean the room to see if we were satisfied. This hotel has a water feature for the little ones that is amazing with lifeguards on dut and, the towels were constantly replenished. We watched Disneyland fireworks right from our balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here when we went to Disneyland this past weekend. We were very impressed. The location was amazing it took us 5 minutes to get to the main gate of Disneyland. We got to the hotel at 9:45am on a Thursday and hey allowed us to check in early, which was amazing. The room we had was in building 6 which overlooked the garden pool. The room was nice and big we had two queen beds. The bathroom was nice and big. The beds were amazing. The staff was awesome. They have a little gift shop/market on site which have reasonable prices. The water park is so much fun for both kids and adults. Needless to say we already booked our next stay for October.

Hotel room was spotless, customer service was great! The bathroom was extremely clean and I loved the huge vanity style mirror! We even got to see the fireworks show from our room! Only thing I didn't like was the amount of children running around at the pool area, but it wasn't too big of a deal. It's within walking distance of Disneyland and the price for our room wasn't too shabby either.

Hotel is walking distance to Disneyland. We visited solely for the water park they offer. We had a very nice time, we were able to check in early, the staff was lovely and helpful, our room was very nice. The bathrooms are dated but it was clean. We had a small balcony. The water park was really enjoyable! The kids loved it. Disneyland fireworks are visible from the water park. There is also a regular swimming pool. We will definitely be back.

This hotel puts you at ease. We felt like we were home. After traveling hours with 3 little children, comfort and satisfaction was all we wanted which we got right from checking in. The water area is great and safe for toddlers and my big kid had loads of fun. We stayed in building 1, the Disneyland fireworks view from our room was breathtaking. It's just a walking distance to Disneyland too so even the little ones found the walk to be fun. The staff are most pleasant, we lost our key and had it replaced at no cost to us. We even had to pay to stay an extra night. The 12pm checkout time was perfect. It's very well maintained. Our room was cleaned EVERY DAY and trash taken out at no extra cost. Will definitely be staying here again. Love it.

Great rooms beds are comfortable. Excellent guest services when needing extra towels or soaps or bath items the hotel was very quick to provide them. Great location next to Disneyland short walk to the main entrance via the east shuttle drive on Harbor Blvd. Many food choices with a short walk. Getting to downtown Disney is a short drive away from the hotel also. And two pool wet play areas for kids and families.

Clean comfy rooms. Rooms in building 1 are renovated. If you get a room facing Disneyland you can see the fireworks right from your balcony. No free breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for staying at while doing a week or two at Disneyland. If staying at one of the DL resort hotels just seems like such a big expense for the week, then this is the next best thing. It's not the nicest hotel I've stayed in, but for a place to crash after a 12 hour stint at the park with the kids it's perfect. Water park was a nice place to cool off between park visits.

Fabulous hotel! Right next to Disneyland, only a couple blocks to walk to the main entrance. Close enough but far enough away from all the foot traffic. My kids loved the water playground and could play in it for hours! The room was super cute and comfy, maid service was great each day. We stayed in building 1 and Our room had a view of the fireworks show in Disneyland as well. We had a great stay and will be staying there again!

I really, really liked this hotel. The only experience I've had with Howard Johnson's are usually motel style kind of run down places, and this is completely opposite of that. We stayed in a superior 2 queen room in the newly renovated building 1 and it was super cute and super spacious. I was really surprised at the amount of room. There was a cute table for an eating area in there as well. The decor was disney themed, and really well done. The gift shop was really convenient as well. About a 10 minute walk to the security entrance at Disney, so it was plenty close for us, as the parking was included, so an additional bonus. Breakfast isn't a big deal to our group, so we weren't bothered by there not being a restaurant on site. The only reason I subtracted a star was because I had prepaid for my room through the Wyndham website, and my card should have only been authorized for incidentals at check in, but it was over authorized for the whole stay plus incidentals. I have already told other people about the great stay, and plan to come back in the future.

Great customer service, friendly staff, comfortable beds and clean modern rooms at a great price. Plus if you show up before your check in time they will let you park for free. If you get a room in building one try to get on the top floor their is a great view of the Disney fireworks from there.

Great location, close to Disney which you don't need to drive to Disney and you save the USD 20 from the parking lot.

The water play area for the kids is very good as it entertains hours.
The main pool is not heated and has 5 feet and you get towels.
The attention is very good.
The Wi-Fi should improve it because at times it is cut and is half slow.

The price is good and worth it to go with kids as in Anaheim and Garden Grove There are very few hotels that designate the water space to have fun for the kids.
Definitely recommended, I would put 5 if the Wi-Fi would work right and the large pool would be heated.

My party had 2 adults and 2 young children. We did one day at Disneyland, and one pool day. The location is fabulous. A very easy walk to the parks, though in the morning I think it's the busiest entrance so the line for security was insane-it would be worth it to walk around to the other side. The hotel is self described as retro, which is a cute way of saying they haven't updated very many things in the rooms since it was built in the 60s, but we basically only slept in the rooms anyway. The staff are very pleasant, they have balloon shapes for the kids, and the pool is fabulous for kids.

Arrived with two families including four adults and two children. Check in was fast, but the lobby is hard to find. Look for the retro round spaceship looking building. We had adjoining rooms on the first floor. They were clean and well appointed for this price range. There are two pool areas but watch out for the misleading signs that state different open and close times for each. Housekeeping was prompt and quick. I also used the laundry service on site. Standard stuff but be sure to get your soap before you go and the machines only take quarters. There is a change machine in the nearby arcade. Overall this was a good value and if prices remain the same we'll be back.

Rencently we stayed there and it was pretty good. Our cleaning people did a really good job. They even set up the kids stuffed animals they had brought along on their beds, just like home when we went to Disneyland. They cleaned and organized the room pretty well. Front end staff was courteous and even the maintenance man said hello. The water park isn't Splashdown but our 5 and 7 enjoyed it and had a good time. Disneyland land is close, about a 7-10 minute walk from the Howard Johnson. All in all, a great place to stay.

Nice Hotel, excellent based next to Disneyland, nice Poolside for Kids. Various restaurants in walking distance.

The rooms were great and the staff was wonderful, exempt from the girl manager, they girl from check in told us that we could pay $23.99 and leave the car there all day but I had to ask the manager next day, we’ll when I checked out I told the guy that was helping us with that and he said: I don’t think there will be any problem we have plenty of space and we are not that bucked yet, but let me ask my manager which she was right next to him, and he asked her she just said back: (NO WE ARE BOCKED) they guy said ok and he came back to us and said sorry we cant at the moment but I’ll explain were you can park. The managers attitude was not the best that’s all I can say, but maybe she was having a bad day. You might as well park at the Disney parking lot and it’s only $20.

Fine hotel. Not spectacular, not bad. Has a decent little water park for younger kids, a hot tub, and a large swimming pool. Rooms were fine, a bit dated, but fine. Service, including cleaning service, was great. If you're going to Disneyland, it's only a couple blocks from the gates, so easily within walking distance. Would consider staying again if not staying at a hotel in the Disneyland Resort.

Not the newest or the swankiest, but beats the Value resorts at Disney world, and my daughter loved it. Water park is (mostly) heated, so my daughter had a blast even though I'm sitting in a jacket. Awesome location for Disney access too, and the price is very good.

Decent sized and clean room comfy bed and fluffy towels. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The water park is great and we can't get the kids off it!

This was a nice hotel within walking distance to Disneyland. They were in the middle of renovations and it looked like updating rooms. The one we stayed in looked like it hadn't been renovated yet but it was very clean. There was a sink outside the bathroom as well as in the bathroom and they provided a refrigerator, microwave and single cup coffee maker. The room was spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The water park was fantastic! The kids loved it even though we were there in January. We could sit in the hot tub and watch the kids play at every part of the park. I would definitely stay here again. (Would have been 5 stars if renovations had been complete)

Hello. Trip good so far. Everyone is having fun. Some early mornings and a bit tired. Love this hotel. Great place. Uber drivers are maniacs. 80mph+ weaving in and out of traffic on freeways. If you want an adrenaline rush go uber not Disneyland.

Retro feel with remodeled features. Super professional staff and always helpful. Fun water playground for 10yrs and younger. Hot tub for the adults. Rollaway beds in room, quick walk to Disneyland.

This hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our room, with 1 king-size bed, was spacious. It’s within a short walk to Disneyland. There are 2 pools including a splash pad area for keep kids. They do NOT offer free breakfast but Mimi’s (for a sit-down meal) and McDonalds are both very close.

Great hotel if you're planning on heading to Disneyland since it's within walking distance. The rooms are nice and there's a lot of amenities for kids (waterslide pool area and a small game room). Room service is very detailed about their work to keep the rooms clean.

Clean, nice room. Water park is great for the kids and the pool is nice. It’s really close to the highway, so noise may be a factor I you’re a light sleeper. However, after a day at Disneyland, nothing could keep us up.

It's an older hotel but the rooms were clean and comfortable with a small patio area. Our rooms hair dryer was broken on arrival, we talked to the front desk and a repair person had it fixed within 10 minutes. Parking is also included so if u have a car this also can save you money. Really convent location to the park and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Nice room with comfortable beds. TV on wall (haven't watched it so can't comment on channels). Lots of storage, a fridge, microwave, and other assorted stuff. Two sinks, one in and one out of the bathroom. Only trouble with the room are the odd skylights that let in a ton of light in the morning. Otherwise nice stay.

This place was tons of fun. The water park was awesome for the kids. And it's walking distance to Disney. Rooms were clean and had the basics like a coffee maker, safe, fridge… Highly recommend if you are planning to stay a few days.

This is a great hotel. It is within a block of Disneyland. Hotel is comprised of a number of buildings. Rooms are large and can accommodate families with their two beds and a cot. Small store in site. Pool and waterpark on the premises. Most tour buses stop close to the hotel. Staff very friendly.

Great location for walking to Disneyland, friendly staff, rooms are all that you need for a Disney vacation (nothing special but not bad). My wife was able to access the Wi-Fi, but I couldn't on my phone. Overall a good experience, they upgraded us to a queen room when our travel agent booked us double beds, so that was awesome! Luggage storage on checkout day was also super handy.

The hotel was very clean and had a great family friendly feel. The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. Kids really enjoyed the water park and pool areas. With a store that packs all of the essentials and a small games room to pass the time, I will not hesitate to go back again.

The hotel is very close to Disney. There is less than 10 minutes. If you have to buy also here, like any food, don't do it, because it is too expensive. But it is comfortable hotel, and the whole family had a good time here.

Resort grounds were in lovely shape. Rooms were nicely appointed. There are several buildings, so it can be quite a walk from one end to the other. The building we stayed in was right next to the freeway, so it was a bit noisy. The water playground was great for small children, though not much fun for adults.

Location was perfect for Disneyland. My four grandkids, ages 5 to 8 had a lot of fun in the water park. We were in Building 1 and had a great view of the fireworks. Rooms were clean and the beds were immaculate and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and check in and out was quick and easy. Maybe a little dated but great value for money. Would recommend to families.

Friendly helpful staff. Slight inconveniences during our stay with laundry facilities temporarily out of order in our building but there was another facility a few buildings away. Water plumbing works being fixed during stay. Extra cost for roll away bed. Convenient location opposite Disneyland with many dining options nearby. Many dining places open 24 hours. Small gift shop within hotel open until 11pm which was handy.

Great location, just about a 10-minute walk from Disneyland main entrance. Building and Facilities a little dated but very well maintained the pool and the kids pool excellent along with the convenience store. The front desk is very hip and modern. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance no need to move your car for your stay.

Didn't stay in the hotel much. Rooms were good, a little noisy in the evening, dance music and cars. Water park was small, only one bigger kid slide, but the kids enjoyed it nonetheless. McDonalds for breakfast, also Subway all within walking distance. Close to Disney, 7 min walk.

Great water park, geared toward younger kids — probably best for 4-9 years of age. Within walking distance to Disneyland. Rooms are nice but a little dated. Note though the 2 story buildings do not have an elevator.

Location is perfect. It's directly across the street from Disneyland. Approximately 8 minutes to walk to Disneyland gate from the hotel. It has a mini water park for the kids and a water slide. It also has a regular pool for the adults. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very clean. The rollaway bed was very comfortable believe it or not. And the convenience of the mini market in game room helped a lot. We did not have a problem with parking despite the size of the parking lot. The hotel does a great job maintaining its guests vehicles and orchestrating parking situations.

Great pool for kids. Especially if they're younger kids. Staff was friendly at check-in and rooms were clean. Free parking only for 1 car though. Additional cars are like $25. Definitely will be coming back great location so close to Disney and you get to see the fireworks from pretty much anywhere in the hotel.

The hotel is so far is great, big, clean rooms, super friendly staff. We're spending the week at Disneyland and the hotel is really close (5-10 minute walk) to the parks. There are several 'grab-a-quick-bite' restaurants within walking distance, and downtown Disney if you're looking for more of a sit-down. The kids are having a blast with the water play area, which is monitored by at least two life guards all the time. There is also a larger pool (independent front the children's water feature) that adults can enjoy. While the decor seems a little dated (not a big deal), the only thing that I do miss is a fitness center, as I like working out in the mornings to get the day started.

Pleasantly surprised by this HOJO. Within walking distance of Disney and several food spots (McDonald's, Panera, Mimi's, coldstone). The rooms were quite large. Ours had a balcony and a great view of Matterhorn (think fireworks). The bathroom is kind of small but functional. And USB ports, lots of them. A decent sized LCD TV (looks like 40") with an available HDMI port (bring a Roku stick or an Amazon fire TV stick). Also free Wi-Fi. Beds are reasonable comfortable. Really surprised. If stay here again and would recommend to my friends.

Room view from building 1 sucks! The kids pool was ok. Not big enough! The only good thing bout this hotel was the pillows… Paid$ 490 for 2 nights. Over priced for what they offer. Next time I'll just go to great wolf lodge! Not worth it!

Amazing hotel. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating. Easy to navigate to find rooms. Comfortable beds. No comforter though however you can adjust the air so you don't need one. Water park is perfect for small children. Never gets diets l deeper than 1 foot deep. My one year old son loved it and had a blast. Will stay again if I have the opportunity to.

This hotel is wonderful! I was able to present check-in check in but no room assignment) at 8:00am and park my car so that I would not have enough to park at Disneyland, then move it later that night. Very convenient and helpful! The hotel is a very short walk to the Disneyland main hates which is also very nice.

Cheap and clean. A little outdated but I'd didn't detract from the stay. We stayed one night for a Disneyland trip. Checking out in the morning the staff informed us we can leave our car and check-in our bags with them while we spend the day at the park. Disney was a short walk away, when we go again we will be staying here.

The little water playground has a great view of the fireworks and the hot tub is awesome. The water in the playground was disgusting. I got a little in my mouth and it smelled and tasted like it had been recycling unfiltered for weeks. Check the water before you let your kids play in it. The Hotel itself was awesome, very close to a great McDonalds and the Disneyland entrance. The beds were the softest hotel beds I had ever slept on. The rooms have a little fridge and microwave and the room service did great.

The ONLY PLACE my family stays when we are down there! My family LOVE'S "hideaway cove" after a long day at Disneyland it's nice to relax and have fun! Great staff! Will handle any problem you have! Even give you a Disney pass discount!

The hotel isn't perfect but most know that when getting a room at a good price. When we first made our reservations, we got a 2 queen room. After, I read online that those rooms are in the large building near the freeway. Fearing that the noise might be a problem for our 2 young kids to sleep, we called and changed it to a 2 double beds room, which would be closer to the water park (something our kids were looking forward to playing in). Upon arrival, we arrived about 1:30 (check-in is 4pm). The staff was friendly allowed us to check in early. This allowed our kids to have extra time at the super fun water playground (which really helped since we had no other time to go since we were spending the other days at Disneyland park). The walk to the park was about 10 minutes and parking at the hotel was free — so that saved us money from not having to do Disneyland parking. Our Double Double was a bit outdated, with the bathroom being mostly pink tiled but it does the job. We were placed in building 3, second floor. The room had large windows on both upper sides of the room. This allows great daylight in but made it very difficult to fall asleep at night as there was no way to block out the light (no curtains or other methods). Unfortunately we didn't realize this until our children's bedtime. The sun was still setting and even after, lights outside were still letting light in. We didn't have issues of noise from the freeway but at 9:30 the fireworks started and were very loud.

Awesome Waterpark for the kids. Normal style hotel otherwise. It's everything it should be. Great staff.

A very large room with a balcony that faces the road with a view of the Disneyland parks and fireworks. Did not get the room I paid for, one King bed, but two twins. Microwave doesn't work. Hotel is extremely clean and easy to navigate. The girl at the front desk that checked me in was very rude.

We had a wonderful experience here! Front desk are very polite and friendly. Castaway Cove was amazing, our daughter had a blast, also the park is just across the street! Highly recommended and will definitely be coming back.

Our go to hotel. We aren't risk takers but next time I'm going to try somewhere with a free breakfast although the art bus sucks. So it would need to be somewhere with a free hotel bus. The pool is clean and the kids slide is a nice plus. The rooms are very clean and comfy. I like that they allow us to park there before check in and hold our luggage. If you book through the Disneyland website they throw you all the way in the back. Although the rooms are bigger it makes the walk much longer. The washer and dryer worked really well for me. It's a good value overall.

Night there were one on our road trip with day trip to Disneyland. Great location, easy to reach on foot. Nearby was a Walmart (3 min by car). Parking, Internet and co was good, there was a fridge in the room. The room service was great, has left a nice note :-) in addition the hotel to save water is interested in what I think is good :-) Pool was nice, rooms clean and comfortable. Recommendation!

We've been here one night. The staff was very pleasant as we arrived. The room was very clean and accommodating. My only gripe would be that the conjoining door to the next room is pretty thin and I could hear the baby next door (luckily the lil guy slept through the night). It hasn't really been that big of an issue, if it was I'd ask to see if they could get me a different room.

So far so good although I wish we weren't located right next to a maid station. I don't like having to squeeze past then to get to our room. But it's clean, if a little on the old side and has no microwave. I'll have more to say when our stay is over.

Awesome helpful staff. Comfortable bed and amazing rooms! Its only a 5-10 min walk to disney land and in a great spot for public transport too. Right near a street worth of resterants.

Great hotel with a very nice homey feel. The Kid's Suite was outstanding with great amenities. Fantastic staff!

There are two reasons to stay here. 1. ) It is walking distance to Disneyland. Less than ten minutes by foot, depending on your walking speed. 2. ) It has a really nice pool area for kids for hot days away from the park. The rooms are unremarkable, but well sized. Some of the two story buildings don't have elevators.

Great hotel, great location. The service is fantastic and the pool is good fun for kids. Vi can't imagine anyone being disappointed after staying here.

Decently priced with a few good onsite amenities. The waterpark is cute but the pictures online male it appear much larger than it actually is. Same can be said of the room we booked with the bunk beds. Saving grace for the room was having the covered lockable patio to store our luggage in. Floor space was very limited but we just used it as a place to sleep anyway. It was likely just the fact that we were in the far end of a building g but the Wi-Fi was absolutely useless in the room. Only is able signal we had was in the common areas. Would stay again but will consider the Courtyard Marriott across the street for next time.

The hotel is super dumpy. I had one other person who stayed in my room and every time we would go to use our keys for the door they wouldn't work. So any there trip to the from desk!

The check-in/check-out was easy. The premium rooms are big and have comfortable beds. The staff was nice and helpful. The only problem we had was the a/c was not working, but they provided box fans which kept the room nice and cool. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the walk to Disneyland is not bad. I would stay here again if we went back to Disneyland.

Arrived now fron beverly Blvd Los Angeles. We want stay here few days then maybe go to Disneyland. So rest n wait for lunch go out the restaurant. Just enjoy everywhere.

This place is very well located right next to Disneyland and it only takes 5 minutes to walk down to the main entrance. It is also just down the road from a number of eateries so getting food outside the park is easy too. Our room was on the 7th floor, facing the motorway, and it was too noisy our first night. We asked to move rooms the next morning and they were happy to move us as they had a room available that day. Whew! So, if you book here DO NOT get a room facing the motorway! Otherwise it was pretty darn good.

This is the best hotel I've ever been to in my life.

Luxury hotel for lovers relax) ) ) ) ) Food is very good, live music in the evening, the area is compact, but very well appointed. Rooms are good, service is top notch. The beach is very nice, wonderful sea. The animation is interesting, but young people who want to break away and hang out to be boring. I am pleased to come again in this hotel, I recommend it to friends and tourists.

This hotel is so great BUT the price says a lot it cost about $220 a night and if you want a suite or lower it cost $250-$300 you rather go to a disney hotel like The PARADISE PIER HOTEL FOR $320 FROM A TRAVEL WEBSITE AND ITS A DISNEY SO YOUR JUST WASTING ABOUT $20-$50 for A Official Hotel. Nice hotel but expensive.

My favorite place to stay – decent price for being right next to Disneyland entrance, even better for annual pass holders. – easy walk to Disneyland – watch the fireworks from your room or parking lot – restaurants right next door – free parking, even before and after you check out. – pool area is great, and they let you access it before and after you check out. – hotel staff is extremely helpful – Rooms are surprisingly large, and many different to choose from. – Grounds are nice – store staff is friendly Only downside is the freeway noise. Though rooms are well-sealed, I don't recommend staying if you're a really light sleeper.

We will be arriving this week, and it will be our third stay. Our daughter always enjoys the water park, and we enjoy the close proximity to Disneyland, and Mimi's Restaurant. We never consider booking anywhere else.

I would strongly suggest not staying here. Especially if you are ethnic. To celebrate my birthday (October 4th) I took my daughter to Disneyland. We checked in the day before. October 3rd 2013 and had a fairly uneventful evening. The next morning we loaded up the stroller and began the walk to Disney. There were many other non ethnic families also making the sojourn from the hotel to Disney. My daughter and I are African American. After we crossed the street a man dressed in business attire ran up to us and said "Excuse me are you staying at the hotel? " Ignoring the other families who also were walking from the hotel. I replied "yes and asked why? " He told me that I had been reported by an employee as someone who was parking at the hotel to take advantage of their free parking. When I asked who the employee was he told me it was the owner of the hotel who reported me. Right away I was offended that the "owner" would single my daughter and I out. So I decided to return to the hotel to speak with the owner. Turns out that the manager lied. The owner wasn't even there. The manager simply saw a black girl pushing a stroller and made the judgement that we were cheating the hotel out of free parking. When I tried to file a complaint with the actual owner and higher management. My phone call wasn't even returned and instead I was told they have problems with locals stealing parking and I shouldn't be offended. However, I have never experienced such blatant racism in my life.

This was a really nice hotel. The people at the front desk were very kind. Check in is at 4, but we arrived about 9am and they put our luggage in a locked room, so we didn't have to carry it around. Our room was ready by 12:30 which was really amazing. The rooms were very clean and nice. The pirate themed play area was great for my kids. The walk to Disneyland isn't bad at all. The only thing I wish was that they had a microwave in the standard rooms or offered breakfast, but a lot of the hotels by Disneyland don't offer breakfast, so I can't complain. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I loved the trip and the hotel made it that much more enjoyable.
