This hotel is just lovely. The staff are amazing and the views just mind blowing. It’s very romantic place and large but quaint at the same time because of the design. You will feel pampered and the luxury of The Ritz Carlton with the laid back and relaxed feeling of the California Desert 🏜. Wonderful place.

One of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at (which is saying something considering I worked for Marriott for nearly a decade). The service is the best I’ve ever had. Rooms were perfectly clean. Every detail is taken care of by the amazing staff, which includes everyone from the pool to front desk to valet. I saw a couple guests be somewhat rude to staff (some guy complained that pool-side shrimp cost $6 🙄), but they handled it like total pros. You can tell the staff takes hospitality dead serious. Can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful with good service. Joey at the main pool is absolutely awesome! It’s our second time here and we will make it a regular place. Pool bar and restaurants are reasonably priced for a RC hotel.

My family loves having lunch at the Ritz. Service is impeccable. Food is excellent. The best is on New Year's Eve. Great view to watch the fireworks, too!

The ritz is a great place to vacation eat or just enjoy a drink at the bar. We enjoy the ambiance, the staff is 5 star and I have never had a bad stay either.

This place is so remarkable — yes, the service and the food is wonderful — but the ambiance and the views just knock it out of the park. We go up and eat outside in the bar at State Fare about once a month — the view out over the desert is just spectacular!

I don't know how they do it but the ladies and gentlemen who constitute the staff, (from GM to front desk and reservations to food service to engineering to housekeeping and grounds-keeping… are without exception kind, generous, warm-hearted, helpful, and professional. Their service transcends all expectations.

I can’t say enough good/great things about the staff. They are friendly, capable, anxious to please.
The rooms are well appointed and comfy.
But there is deferred maintenance on some of the furniture in elevator lobby area. Dirty chairs, threadbare carpet mainly at elevator areas.
A quick fix is all it will take! I’ll be back!

It was amazing ❤️ First time here and fell in love. The facilities are very tranquil and relaxing, a secluded getaway with a great upscale quality. The staff was amazing, they were beyond accommodating right from first arrival. The sceneries and establishments layout are simply out of this world. We couldn’t of had a better experience, this was a perfect Anniversary getaway.

Our home away from home, we can always count on The Ritz to provide exceptional service and of course, amazing food! The grounds are impeccably clean and you instantly feel relaxed as soon as you are greeted at the valet. We appreciate that many of the staff remember us and welcome us like family every single time. We have celebrated many occasions here and The Ritz staff always go above and beyond with adding extra special touches that make our celebrations even more memorable. We look forward to returning again and again!

Without a doubt one of my favourite hotels! Upon arrival we were welcomed by the friendly staff with a glass of champagne and they went through the effort of allocating us with a room to our desired location. Such an amazing experience and can’t wait to come back this August.

The resort is gorgeous and the rooms were beautiful. It is definitely a 5 star place, but I had to knock a star for how pricy everything was. I mean everything. We spent no less than $70 for breakfast for 2 people. The drinks were $16-20 each unless having beer which was $8-10. The spa pricing is always high but they listed a group exercise class for $250. What? The pool service was better at the adult pool as far as attentiveness. We didn’t try the Edge restaurant becau…se a steak was $90 and that didn’t include any sides! We did enjoy the Manhattan tasting and the telescope under the stars. Overall it’s a great resort, but the excessive pricing was a turn off.

Beautiful hotel. I visited The Ritz Carlton for drinks and appetizers prior to dinner with family. The drinks were delicious. The avocado fries were amazing and highly recommend. The grounds are well kept. If anything, I recommend stopping by for drinks.

Impeccable service. When we arrived, my husband checked us in while I went directly to the restaurant because I wanted a ginger drink for my adult daughter, who felt unwell. Since I didn’t have our room number yet, I told Cheyenne that I will return with it. I went to the ladies’ WC after this interaction. By the time I met my husband and my daughter at the lobby approximately 3-5 minutes later, he had already been informed that the restaurant would be bringing the ginger drink to our room. Not long after my daughter got settled in the room when the drink was brought in; with it was a plate of fries. It didn’t end there. The lady who brought the drink left and came with another Vit C drink when she realized my daughter was feeling ill. To top this service, it was all FREE. Ain’t that something? Every staff we encountered were respectful and well-mannered. They anticipated our needs before we even knew what we needed.

We had dinner at the edge for my birthday. The food was delicious, service was impeccable, and the view was nice. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The servers were helpful and timely. Overall a good experience. We will definitely go again next time we're in Palm springs.

Gorgeous location on top of a bluff. The adult pool has stunning views of the valley and mountains. Food and drinks at the pool are delicious and not overpriced. Be prepared to walk as most of the rooms are far from the lobby. Summer is not the time to be here but we still loved the hotel!

Staff was amazing and helpfull. The resort itself was beautiful. I love the feeling that we were in paradise in how the landscaping was set up. The resort had an amazing view of the dessert. I would deffiantly go back and stay there again. Everything was pricey but the portion made up for it. We were never able to finish that darn large nachos every time we ordered it.

My husband and I came to the Ritz for our first wedding anniversary and had an amazing experience. The staff is kind and helpful — — and they bend over backward to make you comfortable and happy. We were planning on doing a weekend getaway but were having so much fun that we decided to extend our stay halfway through the trip. It's been so enjoyable that we've agreed we want to come here for our anniversary every year.

My wife and I came here for our first anniversary and we loved it! After one night, we were enjoying it so much that we decided to extend our stay by an additional night. It's a great place to get away and relax. The spa is wonderful, the service from the staff is top notch, and the restaurants on site are great. We'll be coming back next year!

Top notch hotel with excellent service. Free water bottles everywhere… I guess the incredible heat down here is the reason for the free water. The pool was excellent and they were quick to make sure we had an umbrella. Free suntan lotion nearby and quick pool service with drinks and food.

Service was impeccable. Grounds are beautiful. Food was good, but very pricey. We eat out alot and this wasn't that special as far as food goes, but they don't skimp on portions. We were told when we arrived our room was upgraded, so I was a tad disappointed when it seemed to be a standard room. We were facing out of the property, which was fine, just expected a larger room and more for the Ritz and the amount you pay for the room. Dont get me wrong the room was nice, but just expected more. Our main issue with the rooms were two very squeaky beds that seemed old, again, expected more from RC. My two kids loved the candy bar. Inflatables were nice in the pool and the pool staff worked very hard all day with setting up your chairs, taking orders. Maybe next time we will have a better room, but I was happy with the service.

Great environment for families, dog, children friendly. Excellent staff, clean tasteful rooms and common areas. The surrounding area does not have a lot though, great for golfers and people just want to relax.

What a great place to spend a Sunday morning for breakfast or brunch. We live locally in Rancho Mirage and there are a lot if choices to enjoy a nice breakfast, but none can compare to the service from the wonderful staff or the amazing view of the valley! The view is even better at sunset with a glass of wine!

Top notch place with breath taking views. Honestly they have found the friendliest and most helpful staff of anywhere I've ever stayed. From the moment we walked in to the servers at the pool we felt like royalty. We will definitely return in the future.

It's a Ritz-Carlton property so it's going to be nice. But this particular RC is showing its age. Walls are thin so you hear lots of banging in the hallways from other guests, maintenance staff, etc. Check the hours of amenities you'd like to use. The steakhouse on property was closed all the days I stayed (Mon-Weds).

There was nothing I didn’t like about this place. It was fantastic. The staff are very friendly. The rooms were remarkably clean. The amenities were outstanding. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend stay. The spa is exquisite. If you’re going to order food at the pool, the nachos are fabulous!

The spa is small but very enjoyable. My spa treatment was excellent. Strictly for this reason I give 5 stars, however, The hotel needs improvements and the staff including management need to be replaced immediately with a more qualified people. The hotel deserves less then a star.

Loved this place! It a small resort on the hill in Palm Springs. It is very low key but a beautiful resort. The rooms are amazing my bed was just as comfortable as my pillow top at home. The tub was deep enough to swing in! The spa on site is top notch. This place is bar none the best hotel in the area!

Beautiful setting for this hotel. Its high up on a hill. Its worth paying extra for the lounge as it can get pricey for meals. The lounge serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and appetizers and dessert in evening. Open bar as well.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… They do everything right… and I mean everything I don't know when they put them out but they have a whole counter of 24 different kinds of candy to help yourself to in the afternoon I was in heaven the room was beautiful love the bed.

Odd misses on service and views at State Fare Restaurant marred the experience. Food was fresh, and interestingly and well prepared.

This is truly a stunning Ritz-Carlton property! Such expensive grounds on top of the mountain with amazing views of the Coachella Valley! The stuff is warm and friendly as always at the ritz! I wish we had stayed here rather than just come for lunch!

The Location is good with a nice View. Rooms are good equipped. Staff are friendly but not to the standard you would expect of such a +5* hotel. Lack of education through the Management. No porter service at arrival, had to carry bags ourself. No asking about our stay when leaving. Room maid threw away my night dress with the linen. Cushions of outside Lobby stained of oil from the olives they serve to the drinks.

The services were exceptional and the food was good. The hotel is a little bit outdated still it's clean and has all the amenities. I would definitely go back.

SHAME ON YOU RITZ-CARLTON for even having rooms next to gigantic, bombastic commercial generators, that you shove unsuspecting guests into! This property used to be a refuge for me ever since it opened, but last time they put me in a room that has now rendered me unable to EVER trust the “Ritz” brand *anywhere* in the world: in all the 5-star resorts I’ve experienced, I’d have thought it impossible for such a poor room location to even exist. NEVER AGAIN, so-called “Ritz”. I’ve stayed here maybe 20 times over the last couple of decades (when it was operated by the Ritz, it wasn’t always). Before this indefensible swindle, I’d have given the property 5 stars for location and quality of drinks, 3 stars for rooms, food and service (because of grossly *varying* qualities and the unpredictability of not knowing what you can expect) and I would have recommended it. The steakhouse restaurant is (to my taste) overpriced “meh” food-wise but the views are nice. I’m genuinely heart-broken to be posting this review: the mere *existence* of that room ruined for me a place I had loved.

Beautiful property with lots of amenities. Had breakfast in dining room. Noticed that the pedestal supporting the tabletop was absolutely filthy. Must've had messy kids sitting there before us. Surprising in a hotel with this attention to detail. Stunning views, attentive staff. Would I go back? Absolutely.

One of the best hotel in Palm Springs, the view from the hotel, to the staff everything was amazing. Food is lil pricey but it’s really good. Even activities out there are amazing. One of my best experience staying there.

Third stay, staff bends over backwards to meet your every need. Cabana at the adult pool is the best way to experience the Ritz-Carlton. Highly recommended. A little more money for a lot more enjoyment in PS.

What's not to love? It's the Ritz-Carlton. Overlooking the Coachella Valley. Beautiful grounds, upscale furnishings, and excellent staff. The only reason they don't get the fifth is they don't offer the option of self-parking (valet only doesn't always work, especially when I'm there multiple times a month).

Awesome hotel! They even opened up the game room after hours upon request for my party of guests. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to be pampered with amazing service!

I thought the service was great. Relaxed atmosphere not over done. For God's sake it's the desert. I found the food to be okay. The steak my friend ordered medium came out medium well. I had a salad and can't remember my entree. Not to be memorable is a disappointment.

I simply met a guest of the hotel so I was only able to view the lobby and the exterior. The valet was very friendly and attentive. *The drive up Frank Sinatra and the hotel grounds are lovely… Especially in the evening.

I love the atmosphere of this Ritz. It's luxurious yet relaxed and comfortable. Best view in Palm Springs. Cocktails at sunset here are a family tradition of ours when we go to Palm Springs that everyone loves. The steakhouse is pricey but in terms of high end steak houses is so worth it. The food was to die for and holds its own again high end steakhouses I've been to around the world.

The family and I love this place! We go to a lot of Ritz properties and by far, this one has the best hospitality of all of them! We go back at least once or twice a year now. Customers for life!

The staff is incredibly friendly. Not a single employee walked by without saying hello with a warm welcoming smile. Rooms are warm and luxurious. The bathrooms are modern and filled with Rich wood, stone, marble, and granite. Had a lovely breakfast overlooking the resort and Rancho Mirage on the distance. The Spa has been the cherry on top the sundae. The service has been impeccable. The attendants have looked after every need offering water and champagne throughout the day. The grounds are kept immaculate. Children are definitely invited! There are lawn games and pool toys galore. There's another pool for adults that's a little less noisey and the edge of the pool overlooks Rancho Mirage below. I can't say enough great things about this incredible weekend.

I only went to State Fare restaurant. The service was good, the waiter was very friendly and catered very well at first but after we brought our drinks he disappeared for a while and we had time we were ready to order. The food was very tasty, the be drinks more or less.

This place delivers the best customer service, makes amazing food, treats my dogs like they are just as important as any human, and has fantastic rooms that are clean, spacious and very comfortable, with views, espresso, relaxing bathtub, shower and balcony. I would recommend this place to anyone, you feel like anything is possible here and you are treated fantastically. I can not wait to visit again!

This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed. The service and staff are so nice and courteous, the food at the restaurant is excellent. The interior decor of the hotel and inside the room is worthy of its world class hotel desognation. What a perfect stay we had. Kai.

I wanted to proposed to my girlfriend at the hotel's beautiful balcony walkway. All I did was get in touch with the concierge and suggest doing something with flowers. The Concierge, Lisa, the Restaurant Manager Miles, our brilliant Waiter Rafael, and the entire staff operated with perfect secrecy and execution. They arranged for a location to be set up with flower petals, deserts complete with strawberries dressed as a bride and groom, and champagne. They even set this up while we were at the other end of the walkway with again, surgical execution. The effort the Ritz staff put in gave my fiancee and I incredible memories we will cherish for a lifetime. I was absolutely blown away by their generosity and accommodation of the staff. They exuded the level of excellence the Ritz brand carries, while being humble enough to give any visitor their full attention and capabilities. They always have interesting live music, unique cocktails, and delicious food with some of the best views in Palm Springs. I will be coming back regularly for many years.

My wife and I just returned from a quick one night getaway. We took advantage of the special summer rate ($229 per night. Includes: vallet parking, resort fees, $70 breakfast credits). The service, quality and overall experience was top notch. From the complimentary champagne at check in to the comfy bedding and linens, we were thoroughly impressed. We almost settled for a lesser name hotel chain and were so glad we spent a little more. In the end, the overall quality and level of service more than made up for the small gap in per night costs. I would highly recommend this location and the Ritz Brand.

Literally no need to leave at all. My husband & I came to the Ritz in Rancho Mirage for our pre-honeymoon getaway. Initially we planned to dine & delve into Palm Springs, nonetheless as soon as we arrived all of those plans went out the window! Jessica Butler the manager, made sure everything went smoothly, she was sweet enough to send us chocolate covered fruits and apple cider (she also went as far as to find out my husband and & I did not drink, I was speechless at the attention to detail! ) with a card signed personally by Jessica. Thank you Ms. Butler for the unparalleled service. Later that night we went on to have dinner, The Edge steak house is located atop a staggering mountain view, with its evening lights sparkling against the window glass. (Make sure to make reservations a day or 2 before, the restaurant is usually packed) service & dinner were pleasant. The entire staff made us feel like we were at home. Next day we relaxed by the adult pool for a few then we went over to the family pool. Personally, I prefer the family pool better, more ambiance and quicker service. The adult pool, is more quiet and relaxing w/ a better view.

Absolutely amazing in every capacity. Easily in the top 3 hotels I've had the opportunity to enjoy. The location is beautifully tucked into the mountains overlooking Palm Springs. You feel undisturbed and off on your own, but have an enjoyable town at your disposal when needed. The setting is tranquil and the landscape well appointed. There is a lawn for yard games and the pool overlooks the town below. The restaurant and bar prepare excellent food and beverage. Very much enjoyed brunch. They have a nature hike every morning and a "candy bar" for guests in the afternoon. The spa was top notch and the workout facilities are unrivaled by any hotel I've been to. I cannot speak highly enough to this hotel. Absolutely amazing. My wife and I will be back for a longer stay as we left relaxed, with smiles on our faces. Thank you.

The service at the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage was tremendous. The facility is beautiful and the people from the Valet, Bellman, Check-in, restaurant, to the hiking guides were just good genuine people there to help. The area is beautiful if you like the desert mountain look and feel. I was there with my wife and twin 9 year olds and we had an excellent family experience. For the price one pays for the room plus $30 per night for valet parking plus $30 for Resort fee the service by the staff is terrible. Examples: When in room dining delivered this morning's breakfast they forgot glassware for the water, the bagel for the bagel & salmon plate, the toast with the omelet. The table cloth had numerous holes in it, looked as someone threw a rag over the table. The coffee cups were dirty. Yesterday's coffee cups had lipstck on them. Our balcony has dirty used water bottles outside when we arrived. We returned from dinner at 10 pm to find the maid just starting turndown service. She mentioned that the hotel is understaffed. While waiting at the bar with drinks for our table to be ready for dinner the host comes over whom just minutes before telling us he has a great table but asks where is the rest of our party. I told h he had us mixed up with someone else. He said he would be right back but did not come for over 20 minutes. When he did come back he asked us to follow him and he failed to take our drinks with him. I orderd pasta and when It was delivered without any cheese. 15 minutes later the waiter asked do I want cheese. When I booked the room I was asked was I celebrating anything special? I said yes my 65th birthday. I received NOTHING in recognition of my birthday during my stay. Then why ask!

Went for desert and champagne for my birthday and ended up listening to wonderful entertaiment and got to look through a telescope and learn more about the moon! Gorgeous place and wonderful employees.

To be honest, its a really nice hotel, plain ans simple. However, for a Ritz Carlton, its a disappointing, simply because of the high expectations that I had coming in and once I arrived, I felt like I was at a nice Sheraton — which is okay, only I booked a room at the Ritz, not the Sheraton. I'd say the only thing about this place that says Ritz Carlton is the the required costly valet service. Good hotel if you plan on staying in one place, not exploring, and want a nice desert pool to lie out in front of (until all of the pretentious wannabe real house wives/husbands come out that lack conversation voice volume control. )

Top notch property with staff that go above and beyond to satisfy guests. This property is absolutely beautiful and is comfortable for couples and families alike. The grounds are amazing with pools, games, a hot tub, and fire pit. With the amenities and spa you could easily stay on site and be entertained and happy without leaving but as beautiful as the surroundings are I would not recommend not leaving! Rancho Mirage as a really neat town you would like. As for the hotel, I can't say enough about the staff and how wonderful they are. The food in both restaurants was excellent and the buffet was excellent also. There are deep soaking tubs in every room which was really appreciated after touring playing all day. I highly recommend this hotel over every Ritz-Carlton I've ever stayed in. Bravo!

This is a high quality resort with friendly staff. In an ideal world it should get 5 stars. But the hotel has manipulative pricing practices. This property charges a mandatory $30 daily resort fee and a mandatory $33 valet parking. Meaning the hotel has artificially depressed it's prices by about $63night. Sadly other hotels do this sometimes, but it should be illegal and the FTC has given hotels warnings about it. Either way it's not smart to leave guests feeling manipulated.
