From the spectacular view to the luxurious bed, this resort has it all to relax and unwind. The resort was beautifully crafted from the details of the shower and bathroom to the full-sized kitchen, it simply has it all. Add in a generous and kind staff and it truly is the total package. I can't wait for my next trip to San Clemente to stay here again.

Great value for a beach view room with a parking spot in this area. They have a great sitting area outside, and easy access to the beach and pier. Also beach towels, chairs and umbrellas to use. Rooms are somewhat weathered but meet expectations for the price.

Incredible value, beautiful rooms, perfect location, breathtaking whitewater views, you can hear waves crashing all night long, convenient parking, super friendly staff!

Great view! Friendly staff, close to restraunts, and pet friendly. I like the apartment style room and fully equipped kitchen. Our room was a little to warm, other than that we had a wonderful visit and would definitely stay again.

Great place to relax. Conveniently located, just a short walk from San Clemente Pier Amtrak stop. Nearby are excellent restaurants and a convenience store. Spectacular views. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for three nights in the "Penthouse" suite, a two-bedroom, full kitchen, apartment-style suite on the top floor overlooking the Pier and with amazing views of the ocean and sunset. I brought my 2 year-old son who was so thrilled that the "choo-choo" stopped right in front of the resort several times a day (we even took the choo-choo for a ride to San Diego and back, it was awesome! ). There were plenty of beach toys and chairs available to use in the front office, so we literally just played all day long on the beach located just steps away. The room was perfectly outfitted with everything we needed, and not once did I have to worry about my kiddo hurting himself or anything in the room. It was a relaxing stay, we'll definitely be back!

I stayed here for a few nights with a friend of mine. I flew out to do some busniess consulting. We got an upgrade and were on the second floor. It was a two bedroom condo overlooking the water. What a great find. I would definitely go back. Great beach access and restaurants in walking distance. It was scary on the second day there was a shark sighting just before I was going to go into the water. Yikes! Great place I highly recommend.

Stayed 4 nights during Thanksgiving week. Fantastic location, unbelievable sunset view, and incredible value for the proximity to the water. Had a room on the first floor with a deck overlooking the pier, and friends had a room on the second floor with large picture widows overlooking the water. Highly recommend!

My husband and I got married in 2011 and came to The Sea Horse Resort. We absolutely love this place! We finally made it back! We brought our son and we don't want to leave. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, we have to go back to Wisconsin. Lol We'll be back. ;)

Just a wonderful place to spend your time. A paradise in paradise. I recommend staying for at least 5 days each visit!

Such an amazing place. It is like a home away from home, with the beach right out in front. I will always stay here when I am in So-Cal.

Came for my anniversary! Wow. We loved it immediately. We stayed in their Coronado building. Gorgeous room with all the amenities needed. So close to the main street to enjoy the shops and food there too. Stunning views. Excellent!

Enjoyed the room, it was great. Service was great, but my credit card was charged 3 times and they still haven't reimbursed the charges from my bank account. Extremely bothersome and made our stay stressful and not worth it.

Ocean view rooms, listen to the waves and the train. First time visit, I'll be back.

The views, the people/staff, the location… all unbeatable and somehow all seem to get better every time my family and I visit. This is one of our favorite places on the planet!

The good — nice view of the beach I spite of being 2 streets back. The rooms were older but clean and the beds comfortable. The bad — hard to find the room — in a different location from the office and the directions were not clear. NO free Wi-Fi. I was on the phone with tech support for 45 minutes trying to resolve the problem. Also spoke to desk manager. No on could figure out why it wasn't working. Why was I the one on the phone trying to solve the problem instead of them? Only had one key to the room — the previous guests took the keys home — that made us uncomfortable knowing a stranger had keys to our room — so we asked to keep the key in the lockbox attached to the door and they agreed but then they came later and took the lockbox and the key and we were locked out — soaking wet and sandy after an afternoon at the beach.

Loved our room and had a great experience with staff. Our 1 bdrm King suite had a wonderful ocean view and was impeccable and well maintained. Great location and convenient parking at no extra charge. We will definitely return!

Our experience was awesome we were out for my brothers wedding last weekend and this place is amazing.

I stayed in a Coronado two room suite and it was amazing! My family and I loved it there. Modern beach decor, a full kitchen, and a fantastic view of the ocean. Superb.

Very beautiful. The only problem is the heater at night. It gets very noisy.

Great location but the room was in the back in the alley. Clicked on the reserve tonight button and when we arrived was told by the indignant clerk the reservation was for the following night and charged 100 Dallars more. 300 dollars a night can buy a lot nicer rooms in this area. Not a resort by any means. Just a dated apt turned hotel. 30 dollars extra for a camping cott. It used to be more reasonable but wouldn't stay again for these rates.

We rented our two rooms from July 2nd to July 5th. For over $3000. All was going well until around 10:45pm July 4th after the pier fireworks show was over. A man opened our entry door and started walking toward our room. I jumped up and he said he must be in the wrong room. I told him yes and to get out right away. I then walked back into my room locking the door behind me. Soon there was loud banging on my door and yelling from that same man who was very drunk. He screamed at us to get out of his room that he paid so much money for and he was coming in. He continued to push and bang the door. We looked for an emergency number to call the office but they close at 9pm and no number listed in the rooms. We called 911. The man would go away for a few minutes and then come back and start banging on our door. My 12 year old granddaughter was terribly frightened as were we while the man continued to try to break into our room. We kept waiting for the police to arrive. 15 minutes later the police arrived to handle the problem. We went back to our room and put a chair under the entry door that did not have a lock on it. Several minutes later another bang on the door and this time it was the manager. He was very annoyed that we had locked the entry door, introduced himself as the manager, looked upset that the police had to call him to the resort and then left. We had a hard time sleeping thru the night afraid the man would come again.

READ BEFORE BOOKING! The Bad: First off, the term "resort" is a misnomer. In reality, the vast majority of the accommodations are vacation rental apartments which are decentralized from the main office building. This is not a resort. I repeat, not a resort. Go to the Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott if you want to actually stay at a real resort. We followed directions given via phone from the front desk, and arrived at a random apartment building (our room was in there). We thought we had been tricked or fallen for a trap. Also, we arrived to find that we had no hand towels, wash cloths, or bath mats. There are no instructions for check-out, policies, or informational guides like you may find in any other hotel. The office desk is only manned during select hours during the day. The walls of the apartment "suite" were paper thin. Chances are high that you won't be staying right on the water!. We ended up being placed two blocks up the hill. The Good: Fantastic location. Clean.

Older building in good condition across the street from the pier and beach. Fantastic view from lots of windows. Our two bedroom was complete with a full kitchen, two baths, free Wi-Fi internet, beach chairs, towels and toys. Unpretentious and a bit worn, but a great deal because of the fantastic location within easy walking distance to everything. NOT a high end property, no staff running to carry your bags here! (I like that) Amtrak and Metrolink trains stop here and make a lot of noise, but so does the ocean.

The owner greeted us (me and my little dog) with high class in a beautiful spirit of confidence and security! The view from our room on the Pier, the sunset and the surf is quite exceptional. Cleanliness is impeccable in all the rooms, very spacious and clear thanks to the large bay windows. A day bed even thought been installed in the living room facing the sea. There is also a balcony set up chairs and tables to enjoy again the view that is priceless. Bravo Sea Horse Resort.

I am infuriated with the management here. They last minute changed our rates by over 100 dollars, with out allowing us an opportunity to cancel at this NEW outrageous price. Saying that they were sorry and that it was indeed there fault. One would hope they would take the hit and not push this onto their costumers who are now spending over 1000 dollars on our room for our short stay. The worst part of it was we had no opportunity to cancel our reservations with this new price, we were told it was to late to cancel (but not to late for them to raise the rates) and we would be charged the full price (the new full price that is aver 100 dollars a night more expensive). On top of that, there is no ac, the train is loud so you can't get a full night sleep, and the bathroom sink started overflowing. They did send a plumber who made a mess and took three days to fix the problem while taking smoking breaks every 5 seconds. They wanted to spray our room for bugs while we were there. Lastly they do not have enough parking, I had to parallel park, on the street where one of the staff told me to and woke up with my wipers messed with and a nasty note on my car.

Been a few times and love the 3rd level suite. Crepe place nearby is excellent and well priced. Great getaway combo.
