I stayed in this Marriott many times in the past two years. My past stay with this hotel was quite pleasant. But my recent visit from Feb. 4 to 10th changed my mind dramatically. A few incidents happened and the service frustrated me so much that I even cannot find a way to talk to any supervisor or someone from the management team to ask them to improve it. So I have to go through extra miles to publish my opinion here. I did call the customer service a few times, and after wasting more than one hour on the phone I decide to let people know my pain. Hopefully you don't have to repeat this. 1. The power was off for around 2 hours in one night. All rooms are dark and lots of guest had to open the door to borrow some light from the hall way. I hope Marriott can handle out candles in such situation. Unexpected things happen all the time. This is not too bad actually. 2. My flight was cancelled due to weather reason. So I had to drive back to Marriott to stay for another 2 nights. It was around 11 pm and the supervisor on duty insisted to charge me walk-in rate rather than with my company discount, even after I showed him my bill with my company rate. Fine, he did agree to charge me with the fair rate 30 minutes later. Can Marriott train your employee with better knowledge on all your policies? 3. When I checked out in 2 am the gentleman was printing the bill for only one night. I reminded him that it should be two nights. The gentleman seemed to be confused and now another lady rushed out and brushed him away. I mean brushed him. But the lady couldn't get it right either. She seems to be calm and knew her job though. She asked me to write down my email address and she will sent me my statement through email. But now one week after that I never receive anything. Can Marriott train your employee to treat each other in a more friendly way? And be accountable when you promise something? 4. Fine, I call customer service again today. I could not receive my statement. Fine I call again I receive some weird text nobody can read. I asked for pdf format statement and I got a blunt rejection. After my serious complain the gentleman agree to send me pdf now. Will see what's next. I don't want to be a picky customer but I feel I was put on that seat today.
