The staff are friendly, helpful and interested. The hotel is cleaned to a high standard. The front desk/concierge are flexible and supportive of any requests. Nai Yang itself is also amazingly friendly.

Spent 2 nights at The Slate. Helpful staff, great and very large landscape. Unfortunately, during my visit was heavy raining. Couldnt use pool but enjoy running along NaiYang and MaiKhao beach Highly recommended.

We found the slate last year to prepare our wedding on February 2020, I recommend this hotel for your holidays and for the wedding. We had a very professional staff and thanks to us everything was like a dream. We stay one week and all the accommodations of the hotel were just perfect, the decoration, the rooms, the villa the 3 swimming pool, the beach… do not hesitate to book with them!

This is our tenth time here and once again our experience has been phenomenal! Everything about the hotel is absolutely first class. This time, we have our 3 year old as a judge and she is desperate to stay and never leave which shows how amazing this place is for children also — she has loved the kids club and may I mention Pui who has been so so amazing with all the children here. Our daughter has made pizzas, sushi and tastes the most beautiful ice creams and has had experiences she will never forget!
A few special mentions for the pool staff — Boi and Aaron who have gone out of their way every single day to make our experience the best. We never ever have an empty cup of water and you are both so well mannered and amenable to all. A mention to Chocco who remembers us year in, year out and is such an adorable character — certainly adding sometime special to The Slate. Ian and Kee are always so polite too and make us feel so so welcome. Thank you so much!

I've experienced over 17 resorts in my 12 trips to Thailand and The Slate far exceeds them all. Superior service, food, grounds and rooms. We had a pool villa which was amazing! Often when ordering alterations to food in Thailand, the language barrier makes it difficult, yet here everything is understood and not a problem. Definitely looking forward to coming back with the children next time.

Never disappointed for atmosphere and service from all staff who respected and friendly to all guests on the table dinner. We spent 10 glorious days in a D Buk suite and could not find fault with the accommodation, food, amenities and service. Staff are wonderful and a special mention for Ian at Pool 2 who made our stay even more perfect! to rent a car is easy on Orange Car Phuket. It is very convenient and you can reach the restaurants, bars, markets.

The Slate is definitely worth a visit. We have been there twice. Beautiful surroundings and a fabulous service. High quality rooms and food. Great value for money. The beach at the hotel is one of the best Phuket offers — very child friendly. They also told us about Orange Car Phuket great service for those wha wants to rent a car.

Amazing Beach Resort.
Beautiful facility with great restaurants, plenty of amenities, secure enough and just steps from the beach. Staff was extremely attentive and always smiling. High quality rooms and food.
It hides you from the businesses of Phuket but within reach of all major attractions. For renting a scooter, bike or car highly recommend company The orange car Phuket. Definitely a five star resort! Great value for money.

Beautiful resort. Very well decorated. Vintage style. Big rooms. Nice landscape like a tropical jungle. Friendly staff. Food was amazing in Tin Mine main restaurant and the Thai restaurant black ginger. I would recommend Thai foot over international. A bit far from Phuket town and Patong city but close to the airport. Well u don’t need to leave the hotel as it’s amazing!

Really amazing hotel. Staff are very helpful friendly. All the food was superb. Pool room a little dangerous with it's slippery large steps. Staff were very good about letting us have extra towels to put on the floors and offering ice packs after my husband fall. But I think some more permanent should be thought about.

Nice resort next to the beach. Has that retro styling going for it. Stayed at 1-bed villa which was huge. Good selection of quality restaurants available for a long weekend not needing to venture outside. 3 decent sized pools and private pool at villas.

Very nice resort located just a few kilometers from the Phuket Airport. The location is very convenient but the grounds and gardens bring put the beauty of Thailand's tropical beauty. The rooms are all spacious, even the most basic one-bedroom suites and the "Tin" design is carried throughout (inspired by Phuket's past as a tin mining town). The breakfast is very nice, the Tine Mine restaurant is only okay for dinner (we had pizza and the sauteed vegetables) but it was basically reheated. The spa treatments were very nice (we had the couples package with a body scrub, wrap and invigorating massage). Spa was a bit overpriced but the service was good. Love the location and convenience of everything, that is in and of itself very good. Design is very cool.

We stayed for 3 nights at The Slate and booked via Designhotels as this is where we found the best conditions.
We had the most fantastic stay at this beautiful resort. Our room had a beautiful large balcony with a super comfortable daybed and a really cool outdoor bathtub. We enjoyed our early morning coffee (free coffee & tea facilities in the room) on the daybed, overlooking the beautiful palm trees and gardens.
A super plus point was the walk in closet as well which was very spacious.
Every single employee made us feel so welcome, from the arrival where our daughter and I were given a beautiful flower, to the children amenities in the room, to the outstanding service at the pool, in the restaurants and from housekeeping.
We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and tapas at Rebar, we loved the atmosphere at Tokah Tin, watching the World Cup, the Salads and Smoked Chicken at the Poolside Café were devine. Breakfast was to die for — huge varieties from dim sum to pancakes. And the dinner at Black Ginger was one of the best ever. Already the arrival experience with the boat at the restaurant made us feel like being in a James Bond movie.
My husband went to a cooking class which he enjoyed a lot and I went to the kids club with our little daughter who loved all the activities.

Lovely, boutique, industrial-chic hotel in Nai Yang area of Phuket. Very near the airport without any of the sound that comes with flying planes. Very large ground area. Beautiful walks. No direct beach access. If it’s a 3 minute walk away. Rooms are big and spacious. Lots of bugs — especially during wet season. Pools are amazing. Adult only pools available for that extra privacy. Food is amazing. Indian food and Chef are absolutely delightful.

Our fourth time back staying here and we still love it. Recently changed the name (and owners? ) a few years ago. Originally called Indigo Pearl. The tin mine industrial theme still remains. Rooms and bathrooms are large and well kept, although if you notice the details, you'll find certain fittings and furnishings getting a bit old and worn. My daughter loves the pool and the daily breakfast is still extensive with Western and Asian offerings. They recently added some extensions. There now is a pub bar called Tin Syndicate for those late nights with a pool table and sports TV. Different vibe from the old Rivet Bar.

Just a fantastic place. Staff are super friendly and cannot do more for you. We had a pool suite and it was a great size with all the comforts. We stayed 12nights, ate at all restaurants and enjoyed the beach and the area. End of the season so quite quiet too but activities like a boat trip and cooking school can be organised through the concierge. Mood Kitchen Cooking Class was one of the highlights. Sunset watching is amazing here.

The design is cool, the staff for five stars are two plus, the beach is across the road, lots of insects, breakfast so so.

Exceptional Restaurant. Unique and exceptional place.

Stayed at this hotel 5 or 6 times before and everything was just perfect. This time a total disaster, the service went from 5 stars to zero. First of all many of the things, in one of the most expensive rooms in the resort, are broken and not working and no one even try to fix it. When I order a dinner from the restaurant to the room the hotels usually deliver all together, this one delivered part of the order with wrong bottle of wine (which was ordered even by number from menu and not just by name), then you have to wait 40 mins for the rest of the food. Cleaning become very poor, asked to clean pool area for 2 days — nothing. Used all pool towels and asked for change — nothing. Last day can’t get inside of the villa because the gate is broken. Breakfast order came wrong this morning, asked for 2 eggs on toast with salmon in the end get 2 eggs on toast with ham and cheese. And many other little things going wrong almost every day. I would recommend to the management to train a huge part of the staff much better or just try to hire a professional staff, who’s not gonna talk on phone and fight with other departments using some bad words in front of the guests. As the service we get this time is not something you would expect from a 5 star property.

Beautiful hotel, super suites and service.

The hotel is really fascinating. This mixture of old industrial elements and modern has something. The hotel is also very well maintained and spacious. From the two infinity pools you have a beautiful view into a part of the garden. The main pool is nice sized and has many massage jets and waterfalls. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Also at the pool chairs you will be served very politely and always get fresh cold water. In the rooms you are also happy to stay, as they are nicely furnished and quiet. We will definitely come again.

Truly stunning resort! perfect for a couples retreat! rooms are immaculate and the food is great! Cost is on the high side but with accommodation like this its worth every cent!

A lovely resort with lots of amenities and adjacent to a pleasant beach. The hotel room itself was fantastic, outdoor bath and pool were great to relax in after hours. There are 3 swimming pools in the resort, two of which are adult only pools. Breakfast was a buffet in a covered outdoor area, lots of options to choose from and a range of different vegan friendly milks. The entire hotel had a very consistent theme; a unique, industrial feel which was clearly very well designed. Staff were all generally very nice, the concierge were super helpful. We booked on a cookery class with Chef Ann and it was fantastic, we couldn't recommend that enough. We also enjoyed an evening meal at the hotels own 5* restaurant Black Ginger, superb. Some points to be aware of. The room service and cleaning service was a bit inconsistent — often we found ourselves calling for bitty things which should have been done 1st time. The hotel were very quick to respond. Also while the family pool was nice it was a shame not to have access to the two other major pools, especially since the hotel is marketed as family friendly. The hotel is adjacent to some other excellent restaurants, it is definitely worth venturing out!

S-P-e-T-t-A-C-O-L-A-R-and all very well organized and very kind staff.
The location is very jungle-style, so insects and small animals (squirrels, blackbirds, frogs) are guaranteed intruders.
If I have to find a flaw: cocktails are reduced to smoothies and lemonades: very nice, but alcohol is centellinato.

If a dreamland is still topped, then from this hotel. Really only recommend, no matter what age you are. All wishes will be fulfilled here and people could not be nicer. All super friendly creatures. The rooms are huge and very clean. The picture I took and more pictures follow from the hotel and the room.

Overall, it’s a very beautiful and relaxing resort that I ever visited. Love their spacious and the design of the hotel. The breakfast is great with a variety of fruits & bread. Staff are very professional & helpful even the intern one. A bit disappointed that the beach gate closed suddenly during thunderstorm at 20:00, but supposed to close at 22:00, we get lost and couldn’t find the other gate without the staff who purposely jump down from inside. Highly recommend you to come. A truely 5-stars resort! And get surprise discount & benefit during check-in as honeymoon package. Wonderful experience!

I spent two weeks in this wonderful hotel, sublime setting, caresless staff, ethical excursions, memorable cooking classes, I recommend this hotel! Only downside, on the day of departure for the airport they "forgot" the baggage handler never came to pick up our suitcases and I had to leave under stress with my baby at the airport, the staff quickly reacted and ordered a taxi but it was a departure on a bad note. Apart from this incident the stay was amazing and I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Amazing experience with fantastic location right next to the chilled beach. Rooms are fantastic, we had a pool suite which is a lot of fun. Onky thing I would say is that the water pressure in the shower is really poor and there was no music playing at the Pool Bar despite that being advertised, something I was really looking forward to. Other than that, great experience.

Really a great Resort. Absolutely lovely atmosphere. Great designed with lots of metal and wood. Even we had the cheapest room category, it was one of the nicest rooms we had. Very big, two washing tables, a shower with mirror on the ceiling and a very comfortable bed. Water bowl with aromatic oil was heated up every evening from the turn down service. Breakfast absolutely delicious. Everything you need. Especially the variety of nuts for your muesli you don't find everywhere. Fresh fruits and juices. Three pools, two of them for adults (kids from 14 / 16 years) the black ginger restaurant should be visited. Very nice atmosphere. We liked the "Rebar" for after dinner drinks. Happy hour from 9-10 pm! Hotel is just a few seconds walk from the beach, as well as to the main road with lot of restaurants and massage studios. Highly recommended hotel. But a five star hotel should offer complimentary yoga courses, or at least not for such a high price!

This was probably by far the best holiday we Jeh made. The suite was Mega Hammer! The bathtub in the suite a highlight! Also, one has thought of many little things! Always had a pleasant smell in the room, the fruit basket was always filled. Service was always very friendly and attentive. Pool facilities were great, you let your wishes from your eyes. Everything was very clean, tidy and well kept. Food was really good. Impressive was a restaurant to which one had to translate with a small ferry. When in the evening the torch lights behind let this be something in a… great! The whole ambiance was really harmonious! The beach is in a pleasant area. Can only recommend!

Beautiful place in front of one of Phuket's most enjoyable beaches. Amazing hotel with a staff with little care, and rooms worthy of a palace. Well worth its five stars. To recommend urgently!

In addition, the room was nice already in the morning Bezugfähig — very generous and helpful at a Ankommenszeit from 7am.

Aircraft noise! As well as Internet speed, fan regulation (only helicopter strength) and light switches (chaotic).

All around a wonderful experience. Great people, great service and amazing facilities. Surrounding area seems dodgy at best. Spent almost all of our time at hotel. Beware of visit to Tiger enclosure. Very expensive and very exploitive of animals. No attempt to present them naturally.

Not great but definitely a nice place.

On the positive side, the rooms were unique and stylish which makes you feel like you are in an exotic place. Also loved that they have two adult-only pools — really enjoyed pool 2 with its swim up bar and great spots to lounge in the water. Coqoon Spa was wonderful — be sure to look for specials at the concierge. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. On the not so positive side, there was some construction noise due to new hotel going up next door, but wasn't overly intrusive. I don't think we ever figured out how to make the lights in our room work the way we needed them to. The switches were in the oddest places and the bathroom were a bit too dim. Finally, the industrial tin mining decor will probably take some getting used to. In some areas it seemed a bit over the top. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. We will probably stay here when we visit Phuket again.

Eight days at this fantastic resort. Luxury without being pompous. Certainly not cheap but worth the money. Plenty of options by the beach with restaurants and bars to mix things up.

First impressions of the hotel was strange decor going on with the Steam Punk/Tin mine theme. However once you explore the resort you get over that strange theme and quickly learn to enjoy the quirkiness. The place is immense with 3 fantastic pools, and a reasonable choice of restaurants. I didn’t expect the hotel to be so close to the airport, and to that I think the beach suffered. If you’re not a beach person then this is a fine place. However if you are, it’s a real disappointment to see such a dirty, poorly maintained beach just in front the resort. It’s a fabulous place for families, has great facilities and great service. No fifth star because of the poor lighting, poor signage and not very nice beach.

Back when this was Indigo Pearl, Amazing and awesome. Great people with amenities galore. The tea they make with the flowers they grow on the grounds is amazing. Walk into a warm greeting, cool tea, a chilled towel, and it only gets better from there.

This hotel seems to be on point. I dont know about the rooms but the amenities pools and the grounds are beyond amazing. Staff throughout different areas of resort was helpful and friendly.

Everything about this hotel is spectacular — from the dramatic landscaping, plush beds, good breakfast, friendly staff, amazing pools, great bars and restaurants. The guest facilities and activities are wonderful. Great for families and couples. Probably the only hotel I've ever stayed at that I'd make a point of returning to.

Really great hotel with very good service.

Absolutely Fabulous hotel. We really felt very comfortable here. The great design elements everywhere in the hotel were really great. The large and nicely maintained facility fits great to the very spacious rooms. We were very satisfied and would even come back here if we were looking for a hotel near the airport. The beach is very nice, but with running water there are a lot of small mini jellyfish in the sea, so bathing at this time is rather not so nice.

I have been there two times and I will come back again. It is a relaxing hotel, with friendly staff, kids-free pools (also some others with kids), big breakfast, nice rooms and a very unique ambient.

We were in March for 5 days at the Indigo Pearl and it was just wonderful! Super friendly, accommodating staff and just a very beautiful plant! Everything is very clean and with style. The room was amazing with a Sofa and a free standing bathtub on the terrace. Really nice. I can only raving about our stay and would definitely recommend! Also the beach was very well maintained and the Sand is super soft. And only the food in the right next to the Hotel Restaurants. Everything top.

A industrial smell of the Holiday Inn, the place was full of metal. Only room is air-conditioned, the rest is all natural, very warm. From the beach very close, Breakfast is very rich on.

Visited the Rebar — good service, music but hard to find — don't follow Google — long drinks are weak and expensive. Over 330 Baht with 10% service and 7% Vat.
