A day trip from Ao Nang to Railay beach and stopped for lunch at this resort. It was a low season and on a weekday. Wonderful food at the restaurant overlooking at the ocean and mountains in the background.

This island is filthy, covered in so much garbage everywhere. This was my room when I first checked in, disgusting, nothing was clean and to top it off the bed is a box spring not a mattress. Also the view out front of my room, gross. I 100% do not recommend this resort. Do not be fooled by pictures from 20 years ago. This place is a wreck post Covid.

THE WORSE HOTEL MANAGEMENT They had me waited 2 HOURS to checkin — NONE of the reception staff apologized — The girl at reception blamed the previous guests for checking out late which affected the upcoming guests — I was told that the room will be ready before 4pm. Though I told them I've arrived since 1pm — ish and the checkin time is 2 pm I've gone out for lunch and walked to the other side of the island and came back all sweating but they didn't seem to care. All the said was "the room isn't ready, you have to wait" — My friend who arrived at the same time came back ~2pm and got the room but when I came back around 2:14pm I had to wait until 4 pm? — The bald, glasses guy — Manop, who claimed to be the hotel manager, offered; • let me check in in the room that's still a mess from previous guests and will send the maid later after I check in (wut? ) • asked me if I want to go see that the maids are really cleaning (dunno why he offered this but after I rejected, he said 'then you have to wait') • After a few frustrating arguments, he asked me "do you want to check in or not? " I was honestly shocked and said what he's saying is ridiculous and rude. He said "Thank you". Wow. — I'm checking in with a 61 y/o mom who waited in a dark, hot and full of mosquitoes area where they showed no sympathy, water, help. Basically they told us nothing except WAIT • after checked in, as expected, no extra bed as we ordered in advance.

Postcard beautiful, by the beach with two beautiful pools. Lush garden from every bungalow window. Highly recommended!

The main room is located near the sea and has a pool. Personally, I like peace and shadiness. Lots of trees, lovely staff.

Very nice resort on the beach. Nice staff at reception and at the bar. Very good place. We like to enjoy the pool and go to the resort restaurant. Thank you we will come again.

Excellent hotel, perfect location. Newer rooms are modern and meet everything you need are very spacious and comfortable. The pool is small because there are so many people always saved in the early hours in the morning. The breakfast was good, but neither good nor excellent.

Amazing resort. Rooms clean and confortable. Aircon is great in the room. 2 pools to choose plus the sea. Everyone is friendly. Note. The resort does not sell alcohol but they are happy for you to bring your own. Loads of places to get your own. Dailey cleaning and lots of wild life. Moneys in trees, lizzards hiding on trees and in evening watch the bats fly high up across the sky. Breakfast offers alot of choice.
only thing I could say negative is could do with fresh silicone around bath and shower. But nithing worse than what iv got at home at moment.

Awesome beach view. Though due to remote connectivity of this beach, service is bit slow. One of the finest resort in Railay.

We visited the restaurant for lunch and we had vegetable spring rolls and mussaman curry, well known dishes to us. This is our eight trip to Thailand and the worst food experience ever.
The staff were very, very nice and helpful but the food were awful. Way too greasy spring rolls and to ad fried onions as topping on a mussaman curry is the worst food experience I've ever had in Thailand.

Great & simple resort with add on amenities like umbrella & picnic mat in a huge mesh tote bag for beach use. 2 pools available n never overcrowded with gym available but opens at 8am, wud love it to open at 6am. Easy access to walking street & Phrang Nang Cave. Will definitely make a come back!

Pros: location and the views are exceptional, they will for sure keep you dreaming. The hotel is good, it's 3 stars for sure. Bungalows are very dated with some pretty basic and even more dated bathrooms. The new rooms are pretty beautiful. Cons: Overall the rsoet is good but you will find it is in need of maintenance and some renovations as it looks like it had been neglected in some areas. Breakfast is average, don't eat at the restaurant (or any resort restaurant at that) it's over priced and walking street has amazing options. Service is also 3 stars, some workers are great most are blah. Oh and that bass from the bars down the beach carries right into your room. Would I come back, yes but remember that it's not a 4 or 5 star resort it's. No more than 3 and 2 in some areas.

A very nice resort with nice, clean and comfortable bungalows (ours had a private jacuzzi) with two pools and direct access to the beach. The employees were very kind. They don't have alcohol in their menu but they allow you to bring it on your own (it's easy to buy in the Walking Street and keep it cold in the bungalow fridge). Even though the landscape is amazing, don't expect to see a cristal clear sea in this season because it's the wet season. The best time to travel to Andaman island is between November and February.

This review is for the hotel. Not the restaurant as we did not eat there nor do I recommend eating at any of the resorts (the main walking street has fantastic options and ten times cheaper! ). The bungalows are old and could do with an upgrade but are clean and the grounds are well looked after. Beautiful gardens and two fantastic pool areas. One beach front and the other (which we preferred) at the back of the resort. Staff at check in were ok. Overall I would recommend as we had a very pleasant stay.

Railay west is the best beach in Krabi! Booked the grand deluxe rooms they are new buildings. The bungalow is good also but quite dated. Two pools. Good breakfast. There are lots of local shops & cheap restaurants along the walkway to Railay east.

When we arrived we tried to add a breakfast package on to make things cheaper and they said you could only do that when booking and the staff are friendly but not very accommodating — we tried to get late check out and they only extended it by an hour. Wifi is HORRIBLE! We had to sit near the lobby to use the Wi-Fi as it barely even connected in our room. Our room was dark and the showers pretty standard. When it rained on our last day the rain water came up through our toilet and overflowed onto the floor. It’s a wonderful place to stay, just be sure you are okay with mosquitoes in the room as the maids leave the doors open while they clean each day. Do not book hotel to airport transfers as it’s extremely more expensive than finding your own way to and from. One plus is we got free water bottles everyday and they replenish soda & juice in your fridge as well.

One of the best beaches in country. Must arrive by boat. A much quieter area than other areas. Downside is all the day visitors that crowd the area through the day. Local shopping is alright.

Good friendly service. Excellent restaurant. Stayed 6 nights at the resort one of the best in the world. Good value for money.

Very good hotel style resort in Railay Beach West (the beach), The room was very big and the bathroom also. The bed was two meters and very comfortable. The bathroom features both a shower as a bath tub. The room was very clean. Everything in the mini bar was free (two bottles of water, two sodas, and juice) replenished each day. It has two swimming pools, one on each end of the resort, are great though as all the swimming pools in Thailand, the water was hot. The hotel gives you direct beach. Recommended.

The food was not bad, but not special. The email service in peace slow.

Best Beach Ever. Hotel Not so Good.

This resort is located right along the shore of Railay West beach, which is the nicest stretch of beach on Railay in my opinion. Rooms were clean and nothing too special. The highlight was definitely being beachside! They lend you beach towels for the day. There is a nice pool with plenty of chairs, too. If you want a chair by the beach, you'll have to go put a towel on it to reserve it before breakfast. There is a restaurant on site, but it is expensive. Instead, step on the beach, turn right, and walk a few minutes until you get to Railay walking street, which has several restaurants to choose from.

Railay beach is generally pricey for hotels but this seems to be very reasonable considering. We were upgraded to a suite on check in and were really impressed. Comfy beds and large balcony — great amenities in the room and good breakfast. Booked an extra night as we enjoyed it so much.

Accommodation is very good. Comfortable clean rooms. The beach is gorgeous! … but there is a constant flow of long boats… in effect ruining the view and causing major noise pollution. The hotel restaurant is terrible tho… waiters are rude and management useless. Very bad service but good Thai food… don’t bother with the western options. Hotel — 7/10, restaurant 5/10.

The rooms do not do justice to what is expected of a resort, they are still pretty clean. Normal common areas, not noisy and the pools quite spacious and clean. The beaches very well, full accessibility, the right breakfast, without great opulence. They give some courtesy products to sift the service a little.
Moving easily through the area helps, everything is at hand. Eye with the thieving monkeys!

We only tried the restaurant. Location is the strong point. With many trees it’s not as dark at its neighbors and the view is beautiful. Service and food are the let down. At 11:50 we ordered fried rice and another normal dish. Waitress told us it will take link, kitchen is not ready! :D. Lucky we were not in a rush. Food came it was absolutely tasteless.

For this money-it is better not to think! Take the Grand Delax, the second floor of any building, from 3 to 5, in the morning come Langury) bed giant, fridge eats, hair dryer there, couch with pillows on the balcony, condo beast-at 19 degrees start to freeze.

Very nice Resort, with bungalows immersed in a bushy v vegetation and with exit to two beaches. Swimming pools, restaurant, bar, mini-market… and kind attention. 'll!

A wonderful place with a very convenient location. After cleaning, spread the water (0.5), small juice, chips and soda.

Resort is just awesome. It's right on Railay Beach with bungalow type accommodation. Property is well maintained with lots of greenery around. There are 2 big swimming pools inside the property. Rooms are well equipped for beaches. There is umbrella, mat, slippers, wash area outside e. T. C. Rooms are good sizes with all amenities. Bathrooms are big as well. Staff is excellent and well trained. Only problem I faced that the restaurant does not have any vegetarian option. Golf cart available for transfer of luggage. Airport transfer service is expensive with 1650 THB but it's worth it due to service and excellent timing.

A fabulous hotel, a very neat setting and a staff just adorable and very pro and especially very clean, certe the bathrooms we lived but for the price and all the rest we were delighted with our stay for our wedding Voyage earth… I recommend this host L, it is easily worth 4 stars and a very soon.

We spent NYE at this resort. The location is perfect. Yes, Railay is spoiled by the long tail boats, but if you want to visit this beach, there is no way out of it. They put a lovely NYE party, with buffet and music. There are two pools, one near the sea front and another in the back, with nice views of the cliffs. The rooms are large, with large balconies. We liked everything.

Good place for a family holiday. Rooms nice, pools very good, staff helpful. Beach lovely. Weak point is the restaurant. We tried it twice. Slow, mediocre food and service. The Christmas Eve gala was great. We started going over to the Princess Hotel for breakfast. Same price, better food. We went to the walking street for other meals.

Location is solid but that’s about it. Called 3 times over last 2 days for hangars and have received none. Room came with only 2. In day 3 currently and still have no fresh towels. At breakfast this morning, coffee was empty. I told 3 people all of whom continued about their business without notifying anyone. Hotel isn’t clean but isn’t dirty. It’s somewhere in between. Staff is indifferent and sometimes rude. I would not stay here again.

Perfect location with amazing views. Grand Deluxe rooms are well worth the upgrade. Our bed was over seven foot wide, with a large living room space. The bathroom is beautiful and huge. Staff really helpful and very friendly. Breakfast is really nice. Omelettes made fresh for you are great! Beach can get a little busy with day trippersafter 10am but it’s beautiful so obviously people are going to want to come. There’s a lovely big swimming pool near the rear of the hotel which is seldomly used by most guests so if you want peace and quiet then we had it completely to ourselves some days. Overall it’s been a great stay and I’d highly recommend. Book direct through SandSea’s own website. It’s a lot cheaper than Agoda, etc. I’d also recommend getting the airport transfer, especially after a long flight or if arriving in the evening after 6pm. Expensive but worth every penny.

Resort located on a privileged beach of Railay with magnificent views from the restaurant and the swimming pool. The rooms (apparently not all are) clean, new, large and comfortable. The scenery is awesome and the value for money is pretty good.

Very friendly and helpful staff. There are many trees around the houses that create a jungle atmosphere. In the trees you can see monkeys, some rodents and various species of birds. The room is better to take away from the ocean, as the water is still not visible, but because of the restaurant the first line of houses is very noisy.

Very cool hotel complex on the West Beach of Railay!

Super location, very well maintained, somewhat outdated bath and Muslim-led (no alcohol, early everything dark).

The food is good it took a long time to attend and half an hour to serve us the food and there are only 4 or 5 tables occupied. We have complained and have already gone to bring the plate. We will not return.

We love staying at Sand Sea Resort (second time here). It is truly paradise waking up and hearing the birds chirping and monkeys playing. Eating breakfast right next to the beach is the perfect start to any day and gives us the fuel we need to do a whole day of hiking to the nearby viewpoint and lagoon or lounging around the numerous beaches in the area. Everything is clean and everyone is so friendly. I am going to really dread leaving this place. Can I just live here forever?!?

Beautiful beach with magnificient sunset thus the 3 stars. The rooms are less than 5 minutes away from the beach. The restaurant is halal. Poor customer service: resort handling kayaking & other activities was not welcoming, seemed irritable and impatient with customers. Was playing with their hp even after we stepped into the shop to enquire for activities. The provision shop was also not welcoming — no smiles, was busy stocktaking & just brushed customers off when they are bz. Reception was unhelpful with our hotel keys' deposit, no smiles, unapproachable with customers' questions. Still value for money because of location, room outlook, breakfast & gorgeous sunset plus sea.

We had a fantastic time here. Stayed in a bungalow during low season so was priced well. Internet is great in the restaurant but not so good further back into the resort. There is a pool and convenience store. Massage / spa was great although quite expensive for Thailand as a whole. Very family friendly. Can get air conditioning in the room but try not to put on too cold or will have difficulty acclimatising when leaving the room. Easy enough to ask for pretty much anything on the menu as a vegetarian option. Staff are friendly and willing to accomodate, can be a quite relaxed at times especially during mid week shift change. Please note you have to catch a long tail boat to this part of Krabi, so be prepared to get wet when getting on and off the boat, usually no higher than knee/thigh height though. Be sure to leave the resort and explore the area there is a walking street that goes to other side and the whole street is littered with other dining experiences for you to try.

Great ambiance. Do try to get a reduced rate on the room and the experience will be sweeter. Just beware of a mild physical requirement to board and alight from the boat from the mainland to this beach. Tons of food and shops within a 1km inhabited parts.

Great value. Large and clean rooms, complimentary mini bar, and just at the beach. No alcohol though, but do you really want to stay at the hotel bar, or walk around and enjoy the variety?

A very beautiful place to be, the room was very clean and looked after, the staff were very friendly every time you would come across them, always with a smile and ready to help. The pool was also great, being a place were the kids of the resort would hang out, we were not bothered with them as they were fun and just wanted to play! We had a small language barrier issue, trying to order room service… but it got solved at the end! The breakfast was very tasty and they have a live station with kinds of eggs! (used it every day! ) They also tried to help us out with a morning transfer to the airport, but we skipped it as we found the same service for half the price with a tourist agency there!

Same is true for all workers at Railey Beach The breakfast at the hotel was subpar The whole place is a bit of a tourist trap. Don't come for too long, would be my advice The beach immediately by the hotel is only swimmable in the afternoon. Knee-deep the rest of the time Cool monkeys on property.

Raleigh — the place is incredibly beautiful. The hotel is right on the beach. Lived in a Bungalow. Spacious and clean. The splash pool. Afternoon — crowds of tourists from all over the coast. In the sea near the hotel not log — solid Parking lot of Longshadow.

Good deal, the room super quiet and perfect area. This first line beach and is comodisimo. The normal breakfast. Cleaning and sleep perfect.

All the things you need. Beautiful beach, comfortable room, the toilet can be better, old look, nice breakfast, spa and amazing Kayak. For sure I will be back to this hotel.

A nice view hotel with stupid staff. They cant even speak basic english and never smile. Come on, tourists coming there in everyday from araoun the world but the hotel staff cant speak basic english? Wtf my english also not good but I know basic english. So embrassing. Pls dont go there.

Better places to stay in Railay. The resort itself is quite nice but the staff could use some guest service training… some of them just don't care whether you enjoy your stay or not.

Food no. Good rooms grand deluxe building. Do not take rooms in 19 the case. Next to them kanalizacionnaja station with noise and stink. The beach is very small, but in the evening blown and does not smell as opposed to technical.
