We are having a great time here. The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice and the staff is very helpful. Good food and amazing views. It’s a bit of a walk from the beach, but that is great too. You can enjoy peace and quiet.

Best location in the area. Amazing staff, food and prices. Facilities are top class. Rooms are more than impressive. Views are breath taking.

We enjoyed our stay at Phu Tawan on Railay beach. The views all around the hotel (especially at the pool) are fantastic and have to be some of the best on Railay — worth the small hike up. The staff was kind and our room was clean and had a great view. Our only complaint was that the quality and cleanliness of the bathroom was subpar. Otherwise, we were really happy with our stay and the value for our room and the amazing views.

Really nice resort. We loved our time spent by the pool with an incredible view. The rooms were not great though, and the Wi-Fi simply didn’t work for 2/3 days. Still rated five stars because of the pool. It’s just that good.

Very nice resort. Cant beat the view. Rooms are clean and updated. Nicest room we've had in thailand. Food is good as is true with almost all the food in town, however food is significantly cheaper if you walk into town and eat.

Great Hotel on Raleigh. Good location away from the bad smelling of East Raleigh with chic views of the sea and cliffs. The hotel is immersed in greenery. On the way to the hotel always meet monkeys who can check the contents of your bags. The hotel's Fichka is a pool with a beautiful view. The beach of Pranang is 15 minutes away. The room was very clean. The room is chic with a panoramic view of the sea and cliffs. The prices are not high. Beer in the room for 55 baht. The breakfasts are very good, plenty of choice for every taste. The staff is very friendly.

We stayed here for just one night in between island hopping. It was a fantastic stay at a very reasonable price. The infinity pool has a great view over the ocean. Also the food is incredible. The best Pad Thai I have had! My only gripe is that it’s quite far from the beach. They do have a shuttle though which is great fun, and feels like a rollercoaster. Shuttle runs every half an hour and drops you at the bottom of the hill.

It is located in a dreamlike environment, overlooking the sea from the top, surrounded by vegetation and mountain, you can see the monkeys climbing the mountain. The bad thing is that the route to get to the hotel is not well signposted: I arrived at night was not clearly indicated by which way to get there. Already on the route, some bushes hindered the passage, was very badly illuminated. Once in the hotel everything was wonderful. You should improve that, it would already be 5 stars.

I am giving this resort a 5 star rating purely for the sheer beauty of the surrounds. We stayed in Room 2301 for the best views. The infinity pool has breathtaking views. Located high up against the mountains it is much cooler than below. Several seating areas to enjoy meals or just to gather with friends. The bedrooms could do with an upgrade. Bed was a but creeky. The restaurant served pretty good food. A lovely 10 minute walk to the beach and three village. It is a steep walk up to the resort so arrange for a pick up to help with luggage. There are no cars in Railay so there only way to get to the resort is by longtail boat or by speedboat. There isn't a pier in Railway West so be prepared to walk in knee high water. Best to travel very light. We enjoyed watching the mountain climbers for three pool and eagles soaring in the sky.

Very quiet from noon when the excursionists are gone. Only full in the morning.

Friendly staff and great transfer service to/from the airport. The rooms are dated though and need updated badly. I felt like I was in an 80’s hotel. Even the TV had to be 15 years old. It’s definitely secluded and away from the crowds, and the views of the forest are amazing, but the trek up the hill after a long day can be tiring. The restaurant has some great food too, which saves you from going back to the beach to find something.

Location is just amazing. And that's where they get all of their stars really. The scenery is just breathtaking. Pool is surrounded by beautiful cliffs. Staff is super friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms need a revamp and cleaning. Also hotel policies are a bit weird. So I'm giving it a mixed feelings 4 star. I enjoyed my stay, but with a revamp they could probably charge 3 times as much (scenery is that great. ).

Excellent hotel we had a corner family room with views to die for, service was excellent and pool was fab.

Secluded area. A short walk from the beach (12min) and from the restaurant street (5min). We enjoyed the amazing pool with the view of the limestone cliffs and the water! Budget rooms all have a small balcony to the back which we really enjoyed. Good reception staff!

A nice resort. A good distance from the beach but not a bad walk. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool and bar is a great place to just relax. The rooms were adequate however the bathroom needs updating and the breakfast, while also adequate could be improved.

Lovely resort. Its was soo relaxing :) ) I only saw one child, mainly adults… we liked that it was quiet. Room was with a great view, clean, comfortable. They maintained it nicely every day. Staff was great. Breakfast was good, and there is a bar by the pool too (only there is a crazy woman working it with bad English, messed up our order bad and we still had to pay for it, 4 extra cocktails we didn't order but she made anyway, called our husbands "papa" which is like a term for a financial provider, sugarddy/ not polite, as women we work too). So except for that weird employee, we had a great stay. There is many monkeys and a cave as you go up to the resort, it's very tropical, you have all the sounds of animals, you can smell the flowers, plants. Very natural :) ) we loved it!

Beautiful resort with Infinity pool. Picturesque views. Clean rooms. Restaurant on site pricey for the area. Quiet area, 5 minute walk to the beach.

It's great. Staff helps when you need it. But the beds are small by the pool and there are no umbrellas, for some reason.

Very poor service The photos don't look like reality They asked us to pay 600 baths (18euros) because the towels were dirty. The cleaning ladies chatted very loudly in front of our door at 8am every morning (and once some roosters singing at 6) … Which woke us up The rooms are old and bathrooms are so old they are waterstained wherever possible. Their "free shuttle" is really just a tractor that will take you 250m down to the beach, then their shuttle to airport is 900B for two people when you can easily do it for 600 which will save you some 10 euros. You can do better with a $35/ night budget anywhere else.

1. Ants on the bed 2. Mould on the ceiling and in the bathroom 3. Shower scalding 4. Extremely poor internet connection 5. Voltage in the sockets so low that it was not possible to charge even a mobile phone 6. Beware: they'll say that snacks tea and coffee in the room are complimentary and then they charge you upon checkout.

Not bad, but after trying couple other hotels there are much better value places on the beach with nicer rooms and pools — if you must, make sure you don't book online — they will charge you 400-500 bath less per night if you pay cash. Also, unless you are young n fit, you will have a mini heart attack every time you climb back to your room — I did.

Great place. Paid 900B for a private room, AC, hot cold shower. Great Infinity pool with a view. Close to town yet far enough to be quiet.

This place is amazing — probably the best place on Railay. The pool is absolutely beautiful — you can lie all day looking at the breathtaking limestone cliffs. The rooms were clean and finished to a good standard, and the service was warm and friendly. Cannot recommend enough — will definitely be coming back.

You get what you pay for. Cheap, but only cold water. Toilets flush via bucket. Limited electricity. No AC for the bungalows. Comfortable — but worth spending money on more amenities elsewhere. Monkey's might wake you up in the morning nearby. Long walk from the beach. Quiet place to relax though.

The room was clean and the shower was very clean. Great pool overlooking the sea, around the cliff.

Great place. The rooms are big, comfortable and have AC. You can get food on site. I had a lovely breakfast there each morning. The best part of the resort is the Rock Climbing/Coffee bar. The rock climbing is first rate. There's easy, moderate and difficult parts of the wall that you can climb. After you're done climbing the natural rock wall, you can sit back and have the guys make you a cappuccino, expresso, or any type of coffee you like. They make it front you and is a… quality experience. The pool is nice, and has an infinity edge. And while you lounge by the pool you can take in the jungle atmosphere around you. You can see and hear the monkeys around the rock cliffs surrounding the resort. It's a bit of a hike to the two beaches, but the resort was great and worth the walk.

Almost everything at Ralay is too expensive, including this hotel. Bungalows are all a bit randown. But here are some nice pro's: pool has a very nice sea view overlooking the bay. There's mounting climbing next to the hotel. Staff is friendly. And given the hotel is a bit up hill, it's nicely quiet.

It is OK. Quite a bit of walk after you get off the boat. My room was kind of dirty. Service was fine but the pool and the view is amazing though. I believe you can find something better around the same area.

Great pool, friendly and attentive staff. Spotted a few insects but I guess that can't be helped in a resort located so close to nature. Very charming views of the sunset and rocks.
