Great location for browsing old town and close to train station. Smaller rooms but acceptable. Staff was guest friendly and accommodating. Room AC was lacking in keeping the room cool.

A highly recommended hotel. Friendly staff and nice rooms. The breakfast was sufficient. We're happy to come back.

Prima kamers en lekker ontbijt. De kamers zijn nogal warm maar hebben helaas geen airco en doordat het hotel in een uitgaansgebied ligt, is slapen met de ramen open geen optie. Gelukkig kregen we, nadat we hier melding van gemaakt hadden, een andere kamer toegewezen die een stuk koeler was. Vriendelijk personeel.

Lovely hotel. Clean, walkable area, mass transit close, restaurants, shops, etc. Morning breakfast buffet and coffee quite good (included with room). Friendly staff.

Such a lovely stay. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. The bread at breakfast is incredible. The only downside was the temperature in room (108). The aircon wasn't strong enough and at night I was unable to leave the windows because of the noise coming from the pubs outside. Nevertheless, I will stay here again.

Very rude lady at reception Lisa. Has no manners to speak to client and has a scowl on her face the entire time. I had to wait at the lobby for a while as she was too busy standing outside and smoking. She also was not carrying her name tag. Other staff were very kind and professional.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Zurich central train station, and the rooms were clean. The receptionist, Lisa, gave very poor service. No courtesy of responding to a greeting of good morning/afternoon. When I inform her that I am expecting a few friends/guests to stop by to see me since I am in town, she makes false claims saying I am not allowed to meet with my friends/guests in the hotel room. She claims that hotel rooms are meant only for sleeping and not for meeting others. I have been traveling globally for over 10 years, and have yet to enter a hotel who doesn't allow me to see my friends/guests in the room, which I have paid in full for. I ask her, where on the hotel's website/policy does it say I am not allowed to meet my guests in the room? To which she says, it’s just understood to be like that everywhere. Sorry Ms. Lisa, but you are being delusional. To top it off, she feels the need to reprimand us after we expressed our displeasure regarding her claims. On a positive note, all the other staff were splendid, and were extremely polite & helpful. The breakfast was poor, with contents looking and tasting stale. The selection was limited and items on the buffet were refilled infrequently. The mini muffins in the breakfast were hard as a rock. I was unable to cut into it with a knife, and could bang it on the table multiple times and it would not budge. The room was quite warm. I stayed in spring time & the days were very sunny.

Location is excellent, less than 5 minutes away from the hbf. Many good restaurants within a 10-minute radius. Staff were very friendly and accommodating; if you needed help, they'd drop whatever they were doing and help you first. Room (a single) was nice and clean, although shower was smaller than expected — not much room to even bend down. Certain toiletries (e. G. Shampoo and soap) came in a communal bottle attached to the wall — make your own judgments about hygiene there. Breakfast was lacking compared to the other hotels I stayed at in Lucerne and Zermatt, and they stopped restocking things at least 30 minutes before breakfast service ended. If all you need is a croissant/bread roll, some eggs/sausage/salami, some yogurt, and/or some smoked salmon, it's more than adequate. Biggest complaint would be that the rooms have hardwood floors and they don't put any sort of floor protectors/sound dampeners on the feet of the furniture. Which means if someone above you is too much of a Neanderthal to lift up their chair when sitting in it and trying to move, you'll hear it. Loudly. Still, that's a minor point of contention, small enough that I'd definitely stay here again if im ever in Zurich again.

Great location. The main train station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel, as is the city centre. The sights, such as the Zurich State Museum or the Zurich Kunsthaus are in the immediate vicinity. Lots of great restaurants and pubs are also within walking distance. The hotel has excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked a superior single room.

This is a good pic for a medium class, clean and well run hotel that is close enough to the train station (walk or tram) and well situated to town. The rooms are big and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and I enjoyed my stay. The one negative is that the close proximity to a major tram stop make it a tad noisy if you like to have open windows at night.

Decent hotel in downtown Zurich, lots of things to do and see by foot. The room was clean and small but had a few issues: the complementary gummy bears were already eaten and the wrapper was the only thing left, the M&M's in the mini bar were open and half eaten, the room AC didn't work, and the room Wi-Fi expired in the middle of the night. I had to go to the front desk to get a new code when I woke up. Staff was friendly, but I was only staying a night so I didn't bother bringing up any of the above issues. Probably would go elsewhere if I were to visit Zurich again.

So central, airport tram 1 minute away from hotel and only cost about €6.60 in Swiss francs. Rooms very comfortable and large. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants, short walk to train station as well if you want to go tip another country.

In a word, accommodating. The room had just what I needed for a comfortable stay and a good night's sleep. The front desk was wonderfully flexible, and this made my stay a relaxing pleasure. Breakfast is delicious. The central location can't be beat for convenience. Accomodating in every way, and highly recommended.

We had 4 excelent nights in this hotel in the middle of all we want to see in Zuerich. The rooms are new and clean and all in the hotel is in a really good condition. The service and personal is very kind, asks for the customers wishes and helps to get them fulfilled. I would go there everytime again.

Small but efficient hotel located right in the old city. 3 minute walk from main station means you can get anywhere with ease. My room was tiny but got the job done. Breakfast was basic, but fine. Cathy, one of the main servers at breakfast, learned my preferred drink and always had it ready for me when I sat down! Downside. Internet was very slow and constantly needed me to re-log in over and over. No gym, and no passes to any nearby.

Small-ish rooms, but comfortable. Very kind and helpful staff, and excellent location near the Hauptbahnhof.

We had an excellent one-night stay at the Ruetli in mid-December. Driving to the hotel from the airport was a snap, and we found convenient paid parking in one of several public garages nearby. There is short-term parking or unloading space at the front door. Reception was warm and efficient. We like to speak German to the extent possible, but all our front-desk contacts were multi-lingual. Our room was quite pleasant, well-furnished, clean, comfortable bed, with larger-than-usual bath. We heard no noise from other rooms or hallway, or from the street. (Our room was in the back. ) There was a wide and tasty assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, eggs, yoghurts, juices, and more, plus coffee for breakfast. The hotel stored our luggage for a few hours the next morning while we walked around town. All in all, a thoroughly pleasant stay and we would book here again.
