Nothing but praise for this hotel & it's staff. I thought I was already in Thailand, service with a smile & then some. Particular Thanx to the lady on breakfast duties, an absolute star & the owner/manager, who sorted out our "none show" Airport shuttle.

Very clean friendly hotel a must for the quality driven person.

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It’s in a perfect location to wherever you want to venture to. The room was just the best. We had a sitting room large enough to feel very comfortable and a very nice size bedroom with a huge bathroom. Even has two sinks! Provided was a coffee machine and an electric tea pot. Lots of outlets and a Dyson fan.
Put the Hotel Scheuble high on your ‘stay list’!

Small but very clean and cosy, and not to expensive, definitely would come back.

The hotel staff particularly Jimmy, the Manager who greeted us on the street and ushered our car into the elevator and then brought our bags to our room was exceptional. Interesting man taking an interest in his guests.
Decor and breakfast were both marvelous.

Warm and friendly service staffs from the front desk, cleaning team and the Cafe.

Great hotel right in the centre of old Zurich. The new rooms are simply fabulous. The "family" open concept kitchen is a revelation for travelers. + The best concierge service I ever seen. Price of a 3 stars in a hotel that worth 4, at least. Thanks for your hospitality.

The check in process was ridiculously long. We arrived Saturday when the shops were only open for a few more hours and we wasted 30 minutes on checking in. The rooms were refurbished, quite small but fine. One room 306 was fine but the other 303 was incredibly hot. It remained very hot all night and despite being provided with a fan it was difficult to sleep. When telling the staff about the problem in the morning they responded "thank you for the information but this is normal". Perhaps this hotel is OK in winter but it is one to avoid in the summer.

Nice hotel with good location. Fairly quiet street. Rooms are clean and newly renovated. The beds are comfy. Breakfast is good with omelettes or scrambled eggs made as you like. Well worth the price.

Fantastic hotel, however my main criticism is that the toilet and shower are not properly separated by the door between it and the bedroom. Also, in our room 101, neighbours from the same hotel could see right into our bathroom. With only the bottom half of the window frosted and no curtains, those on the upper floor could see right in! Without this issue I would have rated much higher but for the amount we paid to stay here we expected better privacy.

A small hotel in the hearth of Zurich. Highly finished good sized rooms. Great staff, they really try their best to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is good, they also cater for gluten and lactose intolerance. Rooms clean and complete with tea and coffee making facilities.

Renovated hotel. Clean. Large rooms. Stylish breakfast crockery and options. Good location. Cons. Have to lift luggage 5-6 steps to enter hotel and another 2 steps to reach elevator. Excellent albeit expensive restaurant called Komasutra at walking distance serving super Indian food.

Nice and comfortable Hotel located in the centre of Zurich close to the places of life.
The staff is courteous and speaks perfectly several languages.
The rooms are of the correct size considering the central location of the hotel and their price. On the other hand they are functional and modern.
On the other hand the breakfast is really basic and does not necessarily need to linger: prefer to take it elsewhere in the city.

Hotel in ottima posizione, le stanze non sono molto grandi ma curate e, nonostante si affaccino su una via trafficata, silenziose. Staff molto gentile, alcuni parlano italiano o spagnolo, tutti l'inglese (oltre al tedesco). Colazione buona. Offre anche uno sconto su un ristorante vicino dove si mangia discretamente.
Hotel in a very good location, the rooms are not very large but cured and, in spite of the position along a trafficated street, quiet. The staff is ver friendly, some of them speak Italian or Spanish, all speak English (and of course German). Good breakfast. It offers a discount in a very close restaurant where you can eat quite good.

My extraordinary experience. We arrived late and the receptionist (an older and charming man, went down to the parking lot to point out a place big enough for our car. He gave us a room and was not fixed, he went out of his sorry and gave us a superior. The huge bathroom with a hairdryer as powerful as the house. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was not very good. They make you the omelet instantly. You have a kettle and a Nespresso in the room. In the morning a Simpatiquísima receptionist from Castro Urdiales attended us. I would repeat hotel.

Modern and clean room. We asked for a late check out and without hesitation, we were allowed to stay a bit longer. Reception area feels very cosy.

Nice and clean room close to main station and old town city but when we arrived the room was prepare for 1 people (on pillow, one towel, one glass) I dont like the bathroom as it have a glass sliding door when you have hot shower the moisjure really come ou to the bed zone. Breakfast not variety. Staffs are nice especially the lady at breakfast.

Stayed there in January of 2001. It was fantastic! If you are a site seer this is the place to stay. Room was kinda small but still perfect for a couple. The staff was awesome. The evening bartender at that time during my stay was very helpful at learning the currency. If I ever get to go back to Zurich I will be staying there! Loved it. Miss it.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a total of three nights (first two nights of our trip, and then the last night). Here are some of the pros and cons: PROS: -Close to Zurich main station. It's about a 10 minute walk from there -Lot's of restaurants nearby -Rooms feel clean and look modern -They had these motion-sensored lights at the bottom of the bed that provided just the right amount of lighting for the middle of the night if you needed to use the bathroom -Outlets with built-in USB ports -Safe in the room CONS: -When we checked in, we opened the door to the room and someone else's stuff was already in there. Makes you wonder how many people could potentially have access to your room/stuff. They ended up upgrading us to a suite which was SUPER nice. But even the regular rooms (which we stayed in on our last night) are pretty spacious. -Luggage storage is basically just them keeping it by the front desk in plain view -You can hear the church bells throughout the night, and people on the street yelling Despite the cons, I'd still be happy to stay here again if I ever decide to come back to Zurich.

DO NOT accept an end room, 410 or others that are similar. It is the oddest, most affronting room in that when you walk in you are face to face with a glassed in bathroom… right! while the room is big with the bedroom on one end and the living room on the other you have to pass the glass bathroom where you can observe anyone doing whatever while in there… the end panels are frosted so from the bedroom or the living room you can't see into the bathroom but the length in between the end panels are clear glass. I guess the designer thought that this was a modern touch but it is unnerving and in very poor taste.

When we arrived they put us in a room that was occupied. There are no ice machines. However it's nice that it is centrally located.

We had a nice stay at the Hotel Scheuble. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Zürich and in easy walking distance to the main tourist attractions of the city. It was great for us, as after a nice evening out exploring the old part of town, it was just a short way back to the hotel. Some of the rooms have been recently renovated, so make sure to reserve one of those! Our room was modern, simple and clean — all that you really need while on a city trip. We had a Nespresso coffee machine in the room and there was also a safe in the cupboard. The room was technologically up-to-date with international sockets, many light switches in the whole room, and even automatic sensors for the night light. We really appreciated the well-designed bathroom with a rain shower, two basins, a nice big mirror, as well as a professional hairdryer. After a good night's sleep, we got to enjoy our breakfast sitting outside in the nice and cozy courtyard at the back of the hotel. I must say that the breakfast buffet was good for 3-star standards, offering a nice selection of fresh breads, cold cuts, yoghurt and muesli, as well as freshly prepared egg-dishes on request. We enjoyed our time at this small hotel in down-town Zürich, ideal for tourists on a budget, wanting to explore the city at their doorstep! :)

Great modern design and space for the bedrooms. We got a double and a single room. Both were good sizes. What I Loved the most was that they had multiple built-in plugs for all my power hungry electronics (USB port, v110 port for US gadgets, and other v230 ports). Each room also had a Nespresso machine for a quick pre-breaakfast caffeine fix. Breakfast was included with our rooms. It had a good selection and eggs were cooked to order. There is a little outdoor patio to enjoy your morning breakfast or an afternoon coffee break. The location of the hot was great. Very close to a bunch of pubs, restaurants and covienent store. The only reason that this hotel didn't get a 5 star is because the rooms were not outfitted with air-conditioning. Apparently, only a few rooms had it's own air-conditioning control in the room. We were Zurich during a heat wave and my room and my parents' room were unbearable. It made for very difficult to relax and sleep. But the windows were able to be open, but it was still hot. It would of been great if they at least had a fan to help with the lack of air-conditioning. Otherwise the hotel is lovely and would still recommend for future guests due to its great location, design and amenities. Just maybe not during a heat wave…

My room was small but reasonably clean. It had a very small bathroom with the tub situated under the sink… all useable but packed in, conserving ever square millimetre. Breakfast was always good and the staff, without exception were helpful and friendly! The nearby night life was active.

Simple, Straight forward.

I had to spend a quick night in Zurich. Found this place through Rocketmiles. Room was decent, in order and the bed was comfortable. Would stay here again for the price.

Great location and affordable price. Allows access to most of old zurich within 10 minutes of walking. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Reception is helpful and pleasant to talk to. Would revisit again.

October 2013. Zurich is a very expensive city but this hotel was good value. What makes it especially good is the breakfast included in the rate. Very good buffet. Well located in the old town near the river. We will go again, no doubt. If you want a cheap lunch go the Coop supermarket nearby. Get your rolls or sandwiches there and eat them in the park.

Simple, but absolutely adequate hotel in very good location in Zurich! The most important: For Zurich conditions the Scheuble has a very good price / performance ratio.
Since the road is very busy, a room to the backyard of gold is worth, which is much quieter.
Hotel and rooms are clean. Breakfast is OK! Nothing special, but for me it was absolutely sufficient.

Had a room to the backyard, was absolutely quiet. The location in the Niederdorf district, where night is the busiest, is really bedroom. The room was clean and had shower and a beautiful, large flat screen TV which is not seen by 3-star hotels. The breakfast was very good, fresh and tasty. Be sure to recommend you for a city trip.
