Perfectly located next to the train station, much like the other hotels. However, the little things make a difference. They have an incredibly courteous staff, as well as very clean rooms. They even have a swimming pool, spa and sauna, as well as a complimentary mini-bar in each room! Our 2 night stay was amazing. Will definitely stay here when in Wengen again.

Within easy walking distance of the Wengen train station. Breakfast is included. Nice pool, sauna, bar, game area. Front desk can help arrange train tickets, ski passes, tours, and rentals. They are going through and updating the rooms. One room had new windows and doors. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location in pretty Swiss village. Oliver and Katja are very good hosts and have a first class team supporting them in the hotel. Great food and a relaxing place for a skiing or walking holiday.

The staff are amazing. It is close to averting thing in the village and food is on point.

Great pool! Lovely town of Wengen. My husband and I stayed here for a romantic weekend in 2015. I walked past it on June 9 2017 and it still looks clean and quaint!

The conference room has a magnificent view on the valley and the mountains. But the croissants always tasted somewhat old. And they probably had no taste to begin with. There was an icicle with a greenish colour! I have never seen anything like it.

Perfect location, awesome views, super comfortable room. The food can’t get any better, it’s d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s. This hotel has everything you might want in a hotel. They will pick you up at the train station. Their indoor pool is marvelous. It’s one the “special places” in this world.

Well managed, friendly hotel in a superb location. We have returned to this hotel several times and the standard remains consistently high. The managers Oliver and Katja are very hands-on and make this hotel very special.

This hotel is very extensive, right next to the ski lift and you make it a relaxing holiday!

Absolutely beautiful place.

Excellent hotel. Centrally located in the beautiful village of Wengen. Close to the cable car station. Staff were outstanding, couldn't have been more helpful. Wonderful food every night. Swimming pool. Lounge/bar area. Room was a good size with a perfect mountain view from the balcony. Complimentary mini-bar and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Everything spotlessly clean. Thanks for a great holiday. We will be back.

My wife and I stayed at the Sunstar Wengen for 7 nights in June 2014 and absolutely loved it. The entire Jungfrau region is a must see with gorgeous scenery and breathtaking views. Location — The hotel is located just a couple of minutes from the train station, steps away from the gondola, and surrounded by shops, restaurants, and activities. There isn't a better location in Wengen. Room — We found the room spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed, living space, and closet were all larger than expected, although the bathroom was a little small. Every room appears to have a view of the town and surrounding hillside or the Lauterbrunnen valley. The staff would come in twice a day to make the bed, replace towels, and replenish the minibar. Food — We participated in the meal plan, which consists of a breakfast buffet and five course dinner every day. Overall, the food was delicious and we really looked forward to seeing what was on the dinner menu each night. I would prefer more variety with breakfast as it was the same food each day, but it still filled us up every time. Staff — Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. We don't have a single negative thing to say about the receptionists, cleaning staff, or waiters. This was the best part of the hotel. Ultimately, we had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return for a skiing trip.

Our second stay at Sunstar Wengen was 10 days in June 2014 We were made to feel very welcome, comfortable and important. The rooms are very comfortable, the food is second to none in quantity and quality but watch your waste line on Friday nights deserts! If you want a very good holiday then the SUNSTAR ALPINE HOTEL at WENGAN is the place to go, we will again and again. ian hopkin.
