Historic hotel in Wengen… large and clean room… beautiful view… very friendly and helpful staff… very nice common areas even if dated… Good breakfast and great dinner… all the staff speak Italian… absolutely recommended… just outside the center (200 meters to say so much) but this allows a priceless view of the mountains… grade 10.

Hotel a little dated but still clean, tidy and equipped with everything you need. We took advantage of the half board and the menu (4 courses) was varied and always good, on request a variation was also made without gluten and lactose. All the staff were kind and very helpful and, very positive note, everyone speaks Italian. Recommended!

Beautiful place. The views from balcony stunning. Food very good, breakfast and evening meal. The owner couldn’t do enough for us when we got there. One of the first hotels to be built in this region and is very quaint inside. I’d recommend to anyone.

A very nice hotel very charming a few minutes walk from the train station.
The hotel is very well preserved. We find ourselves immersed in the early 20s of the 20th century. Superb. With charming lounges, very cute rooms.
And with the modernity that goes with it: free Wi-Fi, very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms with large bathtubs.
Large terrace in peace.
And above all very friendly and smiling staff both at the reception and at the restaurant.
Hearty and good breakfast included in the room price. In short, I highly recommend it for Wengen!

Great staff and meals are nice.

Unique hotel built in 1895 with appropriate antique furnishings. Nestled along the Wengen mountain side. Amazing mountain patio views facing south. Part of Rick Steve's tours. Would recommend over lauterbrunnen for views and easy access to Mannlichen by cable car which you should definitely visit. Wengen is not as busy as Lauterbrunnen. Best European breakfast I've ever had: classic european items (cheeses, meat slices, boiled eggs, bread) but also yogurts, fruits, scrambled eggs, yogurt-based muesli, pancake maker with real make syrup, toaster, cereals with milk, juices, Nutella, and of course tea and coffee.

Very charming, like stepping back in time. Family owned and the everyone that worked there was extremely nice and helpful.

Love it, one of the greatest hotels. You got all you need without the feeling of being in some luxury upscale resort. There is a quirkiness that gives this hotel a real charm.

Rather "tasteless than shabbychique. Pity such a beautiful, old hotel full of plastic flowers and 80s lumber beside stylish Old English furniture.

The room was exceptionally comfortable, and the view from my room was absolutely stunning. I found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful, including the furry greater, Buddy. I thoughts the room was a bit worn and could have used a bit of TLC but that really didn’t detract from my stay.

A very special place to stay. Feels like you are visiting your granny with a church and cows' bells waking you up in the morning. Nothing that could remind you a standard room of world hotel chains.

It's a historic hotel. Superb atmosphere and location. Some fixtures and fittings in the rooms are a little tired. Really enjoyed staying at Hotel Falken.

Great, a few rooms a little small.

My family had been going there for more than 30 years… we finally went and loved it. Traditional, shuttered, classic, querky & with a wonderful personal touch from a family owned & run hotel. All with a hint of Itay as many of the staff were Italian. Totally over the top masive baths and lovely views of the mountains & village as the mountain train wizzes by, below the drive.

We loved the hotel, a pity that the reception is often unmanned and we were made to feel, to get a nuisance for the ringing of the Bell service. Staff could more friendly for English guests, because we feel very welcome and it would also be nice, there would be an English newspaper. However. We are an ideal holiday destination most definitely back to Wengen as his.
