We have coming here for years. Not every year, but you are always welcomed as if you are a member of the family.
The views are breath — taking. The food is a very high quality. Great location for hiking and exploring the Jungfrau region. Perfect every time.

A wonderful hotel, in a wonderful town. Nice, clean rooms with balconies with incredible mountain views. Fixed price dinner available which is a huge bargain. I highly recommend.

We are having a wonderful holiday in the alpenrose wengen. Great rooms and fabulous meals. The staff are first class and very well trained. We look forward to me meeting the staff in meals they are so helpful and happy. The rooms are peaceful and the meals are first class. The public rooms are very comfortable. The owners work around the hotel including the restaurant which is an excellent sign of quality. We have stayed elsewhere in wengen but we will certainly be back here. Looking forward to booking for the May alpine flowers.

I had stayed at the hotel in the end of May for a couple days before a work trip. I have never been to the Swiss Alps and I can honestly say this was the best place to stay in Wengen. Dan and his family who own the hotel for the past generations could not have been any better hosts. The hotel was very clean and modern. The views from the hotel toward the mountains were amazing. If you are going to stay in the area I highly recommend Hotel Alpenrose. My only regret was I didnt stay a few extra days.

Hotel with more than 125 years of history. Very well maintained. Impeccable and renovated Rooms. Friendly Staff. Very affordable dinner Menu. Close to the station but still offered to take you with the luggage… Excellent.

We had the joy to stay here during our recent trip. It was everything we hoped for and more. Where to begin: Hotel location — 10 minute walk from the train. It is uphill, but they will come and get you. Hotel itself — charming, charming and more so with the best views you can find. Staff — impeccable and friendly. Rooms — Comfortable, room enough to spread out and the balcony views are amazing. Food — breakfast is great (and included) and dinner was excellent and a steal at the price. If you are looking to go to Wengen, this needs to be on your list to look at.

My wife and I have visited the Alpenrose Hotel twice (2012 and 2016) and have all ready made reservations to return in 2018. The spectacular views, the wonderful hospitality, and the friendliness of the staff will keep us coming back. The half-board is also incredible. And you must try some of the wines.

The service is impeccable. The owner of the hotel himself checked us in. They picked us up from the train station. And upgraded our room. The view from the balcony was like a painting. The room itself was nothing special… decorated very simply. But clean. Breakfast was delicious.

Hotel staff members are outstandingly hospitable and friendly. The facility has a rustic Alpine beauty, and everything was clean, orderly, and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent. Room rates are quite competitive. My only regret is that I could not spend more time relaxing at the hotel and touring the beautiful Jungfrau Region.

We have stayed at the Alpenrose for many years. Their food is excellent. They always provide a vegetarian entree. They have two friendly family dogs that often help out in the office. The hotel has been in the same family for over 100 years. The front yard provides a magnificent view of the valley. There is a great paved hiking trail that is lighted at night. They pick you up from the train station and they will take you right back to the train station or to the cable car. We have stayed in room 104 which is in the back. A great view of the mountains whether you are in the back or in the front. The rooms are exceptionally clean. They are all wood interiors, very traditional. The lounge is very large and it also has a back bar that is quite romantic. The restaurant provides 5 course meals,. The cheese plate features wonder regional cheeses. The staff is friendly and very attentive. A great breakfast featuring different coffee choices, my favorite is a double expresso, eggs, bacon, fruit, cheese, cereals, croissants, and many great options. The hotel is peaceful and quiet and provides an oasis for the traveler. We have met many people who come back year after year. The summer room with the 6 day hiking pass saves you money. Stay for the full 7 days, you never run out of new trails to try. They send you a Christmas card every year. Recently, the owners had their first child, so perhaps a new generation will keep the hotel in the family,. If you are staying in Wengen, stay here.

It's a good hotel, I agree. However, they charged me extra 90 Euros for my 1-year old baby (45 Euros per each night). Thus, if you are planning to stay there with your little baby (even a just infant), you should be ready and willing to pay extra money which they will charge you for your baby.

Lovely cute rooms with perfect ambiance for a mountain view traditional chalet style hotel. If you happen to be there on buffet dinner night, you're in for a treat! Stylish dining room and attentive staff.

Lovely hotel to stay, the view is astounding. The rooms are traditional, clean and airy, most have balconys. It's a little walk from the train station on hilly land, but there is a shuttle if you need one.

Where to begin?!? The most friendly yet elegant hotel experience I think I've ever had. Every member of the staff are ready to cater to whatever you might need! The half board option is a must do experience — 5 courses and spectacular value. In addition, they have cleverly arranged the seating to be private but near enough to other tables to converse. Although I was only there 2 nights, I enjoyed chatting with at least a dozen other guests there. Well done Hotel Alpenrose owners and staff — hospitality done right!

Fantastic hotel! The staff made us feel very welcome (starting with the minibus waiting for us at the station! ). The room was very cosy and super-clean. The food at the restaurant (breakfast and evening meals were included) is very good, too.
