Great place to stay in Nuwara Eliya — lovely hospitality from those running the small guest house. We really enjoyed taking the bikes from the property to explore the tea fields and breakfast on the balcony.
Incredibly friendly staff who were on hand 24/7. The rooms were comfortable and had most things you would need for a short stay. It is positioned slightly out from Nuwara Eliya but you can easily get into the centre by tuk-tuk for 200/300 rupees. Whilst there we ate at the nearby Indian restaurant and the food court which is located in the centre. The breakfasts provided were great, with a bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, toast and a delicious omelette (and of course tea). During our stay, which was two nights, we visited Pedro tea factory and Lovers leap waterfall (which are near each other). Sadly the weather was quite rainy and cloudy, but that’s nothing to complain about, and should be expected when it’s called “Little England”. Don’t let it put you off, just bring a jumper!
