What an amazing place with a stunning view, not even a minute's walk from Brassbell and other restaurants! I will definitly recommend this place for a weekend getaway. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and a tasty breakfast, at an unbelievable price. We will become regular guests to this Kalkbay Gem!

Had the most amazing stay at Chartfield. The whole feel of the place is just delightful and the rooms are beautiful and spacious! Breakfast is in another level and the staff are amazing, making you feel so welcome and at home. This is a place I will definitely be going back too, can’t recommend it enough. I travel for a living and stay in many hotels, the personable and friendly approach makes this one of the best places I’ve stayed. Loved it. Thankyou all for a wonderful time.

I love Chartfield! Our offices use guesthouse as a conference venue and to host out of town staff. The venue comes with incredible views of Kalk Bay and staff that will always make you feel special. Never been disappointed with their catering — probably the best food I've had at any conference / guesthouse in Cape Town.

The guest house is one of the best options when looking to stay in kalk bay. The views are great, the rooms are each different and comfortable, and the staff is always very nice and helpful.

My wife and I spent a few days in southern subs to celebrate with friends her 70th birthday. We both would recommend the Chartfield Hotel in Kalk Bay as the place to stay. Friendliness, cleanliness, homelyness together with central location. Great.

My favourite place to stay in Cape Town. The friendliest staff. Best breakfast and based in quaintest town in Cape Town. 2 minute walk into Kalk Bay main road where all the shops and restaurants are. Lovely rooms. Super close to beach and tidal pools. Safe on street parking but they have a guard all night.

Chartfield is our Home away from Home. We’ve been staying here for 6 years in a row & cannot imagine another guesthouse in CPT area.

A laid back and serene guest house with a beautiful view overlooking the Atlantic. It's appeal lies in its simplicity. The good natured staff, the vast yet non expensive menu, the speedy Wi-Fi, its affordability. You'll never want to leave.

This guesthouse is top of the Bill! Staf is very friendly and helpfull. And so is the boss. I had a problem with my bicycle and without a seconde of hesitation he offered to drive me to the next town to a good bike repairshop. And the next Day again for the pick up of the bike.

A great place with comfortable rooms and great views. Parking can be a little difficult but that is unsurprising for Kalk Bay. The best part about this place was the unexpected and attention to detail from a morning room fresh coffee service to the fireplace they had going in the evenings. The one catch is only free Wi-Fi in public areas, not rooms.

It's not just that it is a beautiful, comfortable living space — it's the warmth, hospitality and humor of the entire staff that make it special. As a setting, Kalk Bay is beautiful and exceptional, but placed anywhere, Chartfield would still be a wonderful place to visit.

Great guesthouse! The staff are very friendly, the rooms are beautiful and not to mention there are plenty of things to do nearby. Whether it's seeing the seals down by the harbour or goon surfing in Muizenberg. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Well-priced rooms, great views. Excellent service on par with much more expensive hotels. Definitely worth a visit for a romantic weekend away.

We booked our room on Bookings. Com and had a family emergency. We called them the day before to swop the dates out for another and they accommodated us with no extra charge. It's the first time I had ever see that happen. The rooms are large and spacious and well kept. The house has the real Kalk bay Victorian charm. They serve coffee as room service in the morning which is a real nice touch. Great pool. Good views. Staff and management are friendly and went the extra mile to assist and make us feel comfortable.

I simply enjoyed my stay at most! This is the place where the staff strive to please you! They were so kind and helpfull to me when my car's battery got flat. The breakfast is delicious and gently made and served by the cooking team, and the best: the price is fair. Thank you all!

What a great spot in Kalk Bay! Perfectly positioned to explore the area on foot. 100 steps down to the Main Road and all the restaurants, harbour and fab shops. Set up on the mountain side, so great views over the ocean and False Bay. Rooms are great and the house has been beautifully restored as has the classic building. On street parking, but a very quiet street, so no security issues. Lots of stairs so not great if you have mobility issues. Quaint brr / coffee bar and lounge area. Pool is lovely.
