Part 1: I would rate my experience zero stars if I could. This hotel is really not worth my time writing this review but I feel I would be doing a disservice to you my fellow Cagayanons and visitors to my home city. That being said this is my experience. I'm originally from CDO and have family here, we have a place to stay and thought to treat out my kids to a "nice" hotel with a pool. I saw their website and the price was reasonable 5, 000 PHP (website viewed from my mobile device) this is important and will get to it later, when I went to the hotel front desk they told me that the room I was looking for was 5, 500. I asked why that was and the disparity between what I'm seeing on my phone and the pricing at the front desk, I did not get an articulated answer that made any sense whatsoever (I speak Visayan and Tagalog too) so I don't think it was a language barrier. I decided to take my question down to the most basic level — does this seem right? The front desk manager said yes. Hmmm weird maybe they didn't understand my question or don't have enough customer service training or basic common sense, I'm thinking the manager would be the perfect customer willing to pay for ice in Antarctica. I decided to comply and reserve my room online feeling that I would get nowhere with the front desk manager. They were "nice" enough to let us use their lobby computer then something else caught my attention, the pricing online was different than what I originally saw from my mobile device. It was cheaper at only 3, 250 PHP. Really this is a true story. This is a new hotel and most likely new staff I don't blame them, these issues stem from leadership, poor expectations and from what I see — zero consistency. I hope someone with influence within the company sees this comment, inspect for themselves and decide whether to continue with the same practices or change/tweak the process and customer service expectations for their client/patrons. Part 2: Turns out the "manager" I spoke with at the front desk was not the "manager" she had me think she was. The manager came to my room and was sincerely apologetic and even brought us complimentary drinks. She was very understanding and I can truly say I trust her to make corrections where needed. This is all I asked for, simple and easy. Thank you.
