I give it 3 stars just because the location of the hotel I loved is a few steps from the sea and has an excellent view. I must mention that I went in the new Year's time and by these dates this hotel and many others cost almost triple the rate they have in low season.
I started saying that I give 3 stars for the location but the issue of attention and the processes that keep for their reservations would give 2 stars, I will carve the points that I consider in which this hotel should improve.
First, I was annoyed by the fact that the reservation should be made only by email nothing over the phone, I made a first deposit for half the total value in reserve quality and the second deposit (the second half) I had to do it days later, I was not allowed to book and pay at the time of my arrival. Once I made the second deposit, did not confirm my reservation, I tried to contact the person with whom I had coordinated by mail, I began to feel nervous to just think that I was scamming and say this because simply when I made the second payment They didn't confirm anything to me (they didn't tell me what my room was going to be and they didn't confirm my reservation). When at last, after demanding to give me a number (almost fighting), I sent the confirmation email of the reservation with a wrong date; This stressed me much more because it was not enough by the end of December and my alleged reservation said that my stay would be in June of the following year, was a conflict over the phone. All this would have been avoided if the hotel had a more formal booking process.
The hotel was as seen in the photos the pool a bit smaller than how you look at the pictures, the restaurant area can improve on your look. The beach is very quiet to rest, the night spots are only in Mancora and you have to go on a motorbike seems a little risky but at that time of year there are quite people.
Second point for improvement, attention.
The first day we arrived our reservation started at 3 p. M, and as we arrived before we were able to be in the pool area having lunch, they delayed to clean the room, at the end we entered almost 4 in the afternoon.
Breakfast was always the same: juice, scrambled egg, bread and a hot drink, bone did not vary.
One day we wanted to have breakfast in the pool area (on the tables), as the day we arrived we had lunch in that area requesting that we place breakfast there; The waiter told us we could not and obviously we claimed him because the day we arrived we had lunch there, this young man started to have a very negative attitude with us and told us that he had never seen us before, lousy attention of this person.
Of all the guys who attended us, I can't say that they were all friendly at 100% there were some who did and others that not so much.
Finally, when checking out they gave us another ticket of the pay of the stay (by our demand) and then charged us the consumption of the room; As I initially commented, we did not consume much because we liked to go out to the hotels that were nearby for lunch or dinner. Just then, the young man who took the bill of consumption told me what it seemed strange that we have consumed so little, if we had been 5 days but no matter trusted our honesty, putting in evidence that they do not control properly and that doubt what That they themselves record as consuming their guests.
I don't know if I would return to this hotel but if to Vichayito; The location of the hotel is good and it has an excellent view as I mentioned. The attention and some processes that they manage should improve.
At the end of being there on the beach, it is difficult for certain situations like these to spoil your trip. So we took it with a lot of relaxation and I can say that I had a great time, not necessarily by the "careful" attention of all the people of this hotel but yes for everything else.
