You arrive at the desert, in a really remote city, really poor, and then you find this amazing hotel right at the front of the surf spot. Great food, great massage, great pool, great rooms (be sure to pick an ocean view room! It’s worth the extra money), and surf board storage place! The rooms don’t have air conditioner, but the desert wind is always really cold and this wasn’t a problem (it usually is for me). It also has the zodiac boat for the surf pick up (which is pretty good, but it’s overpriced compared to the other ones in the city. But it is good to go straight to the water without have to worry about finding some other boat). Nice to the amazing cliffs that overlooks the ocean and surf spot.

The hotel is an excellent place, especially if you want to surf or even learn to surf (it was born as a hotel for surfers. Take into account that it has the longest left wave in the world. For families it also has very good service. The wind gets strong at times. It has new activities besides the gym, Jacussi, sauna, swimming pool, massages and dry chamber.

An ideal place to spend a few days in one of the best points of South America. If you want to breathe surf you have to go to this hotel.

Sooooo great! best place to stay in town, best restaurant in town. Del Mar is the best boat driver as well.

Nice little surf resort with massages, gym, steam rooms, surfboard and wetsuit rentals (and the boards and wetsuits are good) clean. Would definitely recommend. It also overlooks Chicama break!

To start the photos that are published in the page are from when they released the place, nothing like the hotel today.
It costs super expensive for a service they do not provide.
The precarious kitchen is in the hallway of the stairs Q go up to the room!
The bed is uncomfortable. Super old and abandoned all over the place, it is not in condition! All dirty.
They do not have an internal dining room, Chicama's dreams became nightmares. A shame for being such a strategic and beautiful place.
I don't recommend it to anyone!
The only thing recommended is the staff that to what they could with null resources.

Bad luck with the weather. Very dirty by wind and dirt. Almost all day without Wi-Fi. The rest very good!

An amazing getaway. Worth the price for a few nights of luxury at least while you're in Chicama. The staff showed how great they were after a surf accident meant a trip to the hospital for stitches — they went above and beyond, couldn't thank them enough!

We had the best time staying at Chicama Surf Resort! The staff and guests are really what made the experience 5 stars. Jois and Alejandro were the absolute best, always smiling and helpful! The surf was great a few days and the other days we spent reading and relaxing by the pool. The boat was so nice to save our arms from falling off with the current.

I spent 6 days there August 13-18, 2016, and it was the best surf trip of my life and I'm a 60 year old body boarder from CA. The surf was incredible 5 of the 6 days and the staff was fantastic with special kudos to: security guard Jorge, the first guy you meet when you arrive; Delmar the Zodiac driver who drops you off into the perfect takeoff spot every time; Maria, the lovely and accommodating manager who went out and bought me a jar of peanut butter; Paola the masseuse who allowed me to surf 6-7 hours a day and everyone else whose names I did not get. The rooms and ocean views are beautiful and the meals & drinks are excellent. I'll be back.

Must not that brat hai 6 pictures disgusting.

These guys have ruined a great surf spot all for the sake of lining their pockets. Part of the greatness of this wave was the long paddle and walk back up to the point. This helped to spread out even large crowds. Now thanks to their zodiacs and boat services (for the affluent), they have quadrupled the crowd factor in the line up, even if you decide to pay for their boats. There is no soul in the services which they are peddling, and they should be ashamed of themselves for ruining a great surf spot. Way to go guys, you are officially sell outs and pretty much everything that is wrong with surfing today.
