Really sweet owners. Clean and comfy hostel. The cats and dogs are friendly too. The owner makes you feel at home — really good value too. Nice hot showers for after a surf.

I stayed at Punta Huanchaco for a week, and it is such a nice place with a good atmosphere. This is a good place to go for some relaxation if you have been on the road for a while. Gigi and Dario will make you feel welcome and make sure you have a good time. They also have some funny cats that love cuddles! It's clean and well kept, close to the beach, racks for surfboards and have outdoor shower. I will definitely stay there if I ever go back to Huanchaco, can easily recommend!

One of my favorite hostels I have stayed at in over a year of traveling with my girlfriend (whom I met while traveling). It’s a newly constructed building, so it is very modern and clean. It has a nice ground level outdoor patio as well as an upstairs terrace. There is a communal lounge area upstairs and living room on the ground floor as well. The kitchen is a little small, but it is well-equipped and the gas range stovetop is the best I’ve used while travel (feel the power! ). They have lots of storage for surf boards and regularly organize trips to Chicama (worlds longest left breaking wave). They have taken in 6 cats and a dog, so there are plenty of fuzzy creatures to keep you company while staying. The owners, Gigi and Darío, are two of the most welcoming hostel hosts that we have stayed with and we have become good friends with them and the other guests that were staying here. We really enjoyed our time here.

Every long time traveller has a place where you stay longer then you expected. For me it was Punta Huanchaco. I planned to stay for 3 days, but I ended up staying for 14 days.
The dorms and bathroom are clean. You can ask for new towels whenever you need it. The kitchen is equipped well. Grocery shops is across the street. Restuarants are one block away from the hostel. And a great sushi restuarant is 2-3 minutes walk from the hostel.
In Punta Huanchaco you feel like home. Gigi, Dario and Kayla are very kind and friendly. You become part of their family.
Gigi helps you with everything to feel comfortable in Huanchaco. Dario helps you with surf related things such as surfschool, renting wetsuits & surfboards and where to surf. Kayla helps you to buy the best cake in the town.
My stay in Punta Huanchaco was great due to the people who runs the hostel and also the people staying in the hostel. Buenazo.

An amazing home away from home, really loved our stay there. The hosts go above and beyond and make you part of the family. They even cooked us a traditional Peruvian dish, best hosts we’ve had in all of S America, they get it.

If you are looking for a nice, comfortable, clean Hostel with the greatest and kindest hosts — Punta Huanchaco is the place for you. Travelling to different countries all over the world over the last years, we never experienced such a nice Hostel like this one, a place that you truly want to come back to. We had the most amazing time at the Punta Huanchaco Hostel and we wish we would have discovered the Hostel earlier. Gigi and Dario are the sweetest Hosts who help you with everything — they even gave us a free ride to the airport! Gigi gave us tips for Huanchaco, helped us find the local market and was there whenever you had a question. Basically, this Hostel provided us with everything and even more you could ask for. We had the best last week ever and felt like home — thank you! The rooms are very nice and new, totally clean and comfortable. The location was close to the ocean and surrounded by supermarkets and nice restaurant. I really hope we will visit Peru again someday and if we will, we will go directly to Punta Huanchaco. Thank you for making our stay so special!

Gigi, Dario and their daughter Kayla will be happy to welcome you and give you all the good info to visit the surroundings around a good coffee.
The house is built on 3 floors with a patio on the ground floor, a large room and a kitchen accessible at any time of the day. On the first floor, a small library that gives access to a beautiful terrace offering tables, seats, parasols and deckchairs. On the first and second floors you also have rooms ranging from the dormitory to the single and double rooms with private bathroom.
The place opened a few months ago, suddenly everything is new, in excellent condition, the hostel is very clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi works at the top with a very high speed connection. You even have hot water as a bonus. Everything is nearby, shops, shops, services, restaurants…
If you are a surfer, the hostel is located at 50 meters from the main spot of Huanchaco, and you have a small shower with racks to leave your equipment after session. Surftrips in Chicama are organized regularly when conditions permit.
In short, this is really the perfect place to enjoy Huanchaco.

Went to Punta Huanchaco Hostel for 3 nights and ended up staying 6 nights. Hostel is brand new with clean rooms and plenty of space to sit outside. Great kitchen has everything you need and plenty of room for your surfboards, Only one block away from beach and boardwalk. The owners are onsight with lots of knowledge about area and very laid back. They are the best. Cant wait to go back soon.

Very clean and comfortable place run by absolutely lovely people in a great little surf town. I could spend months here amongst the sun and surf and with my new friends at Punta Huanchaco Hostel who treat their guests like family.

Great place for surfing and chill. You feel comfortable with the wonderful people who are staying there. Nice location with all the facilities. Totally worth it.
