Excellent and helpful staff. Located near the Plaza de Armas and cathedrals. But, across the street from 2 LOUD discos. We arrived Sat. Night to a throng of people. Our transport van could not move. The driver had to get out and ask people to move so we could get to the hotel. A rather dicey situation. Our "window" opened into a courtyard so no "view" or breeze. There was a wood burning fireplace-nice to sit in front of, but make the courtyard smokey and there were propane heaters so by opening our "window", we had fumes and smoke to breathe. There were other rooms with great views of the city and regular windows. If I stayed there, would request one of those rooms. Well worth the price increase.

This hotel is fantastic! The staff is great, the rooms are clean and don’t get me started on the breakfast! Really good. But the Wi-Fi! Non existent in the rooms. So frustrating! If it weren’t for that, it’s definitely 5 stars.

The service here was excellent, our bags which we left before going on a trek were delivered to our room in advance of our arrival and check in paperwork was nearly completed meaning our arrival was one of the best we've had in any hotel. Breakfast was lovely, showers were excellent and generally a lovely stay!

The Hotel is very clean, the rooms very nice.
It Is only half a block from the main square.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I Do Not know other hotels in Cusco, but I doubt that there is a better one, in which you find the best value, comfort, cleanliness and location.

Beautiful place, very good staff, wonderful fresh breakfast. The rooms are a little small, but are well kept. Toilets are clean and well appointed. The only down side to this otherwise beautiful place is that it has 4 stories and no elevators. For people coming from lower elevations, climbing 4 floors can be hugely challenging with the low oxygen count here. The location is excellent — — very close to the Plaza Armas.

I have stayed at 4 hotels in Cusco and this is the best by far. It is a 4 star hotel at a 3 star price.

Staff was VERY accommodating. Comfortable clean facilities, great location, reasonable price, nice 5 am breakfast room with eggs ham assorted breads yogurt granola. The best EVER fresh squeezed juice makes up for the undrinkable coffee.

3 min from main plaza in Cusco. Beautiful hotel with good breakfast menu. Must enjoy the courtyard at some point during your stay. Alleys by the hotel can be noisy at weekend nights. Staff is helpful and very nice.

Beautiful building with a traditional courtyard, however there is no access to fresh air anywhere within the courtyard or the rooms. Rooms were clean and adequate, though felt stuffy and hot with windows opening to hallways which also presented a safety and privacy issue. Hotel is near a night club and you will hear the sound of the base and techno music all night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I loved my stay here, the staff was so accommodating, the room was very clean and experience here was truly amazing. I strongly recommend this place when in Cusco. Centrally located surrounded by food and lots of activity.

Great Hotel. The staff was wonderful. It is a 10 min walk to the Plaza but still easy to get to. They helped arrange taxis as needed and provided water and coffee in the room.

My wife and I used Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza as our base camp during our two weeks in Peru, staying for a total of five nights — three nights acclimating before starting our Inca Trail trek, one night between the Inca Trail trek and our Manu tour, and then one night after our Manu tour in preparation of heading home. We couldn't have been happier with our stay! The staff was amazing! They helped us when LAN Peru delayed delivery of our luggage, held our luggage when we were out on excursions outside of the city, had our room completely set with our luggage waiting for us upon our return from each excursion, had great breakfast and coca tea, and genuinely cared about how our stay was. Many thanks to everyone at Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza for your hospitality! Note that there are two Tierra Viva hotels. We stayed at Cusco Plaza, which is closer to the historic district than the other one.

Nice place to stay, convenient to the Plaza and beautiful setting. The restaurants and shopping are on the same block and very colorful. We stayed here before our train to Machu Picchu and again after returning from there. Friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Be careful of the Pisco Sours, they'll kick butt at the altitude there. But do try one anyway!
