Outstanding service. Couldn’t be more pleased!

Beautiful property with a nice courtyard. Our room is very comfortable and nice bathroom. The front desk staffs are very professional and helpful. Claudia the receptionist was superb. The buffet breakfast had great selections. We had Daisy as our server and she was very attentive and super friendly. We got a chance to visit a nice spa too. One of the best JW Marriott! We would love to come back!

Great hotel, the staff are very good.

I highly recommend this beautiful hotel, everyone is soooo hospitable and kind. The people are genuine and hold themselves in high standards. The hotel is very clean and the food is delicious.

This place is simply magical. Cusco can be overwhelming, because there is sooo much to do here. But this place makes you feel welcomed, they get you ready for adventures. And they have their own surprises here.
Such an amazing historical place!

This place is amazing. You can not ask for a better staff or a better hotel. Even after I left they continued to provide great service setting me up with a shuttle to the airport as part of the destination package and sending my bag to the other Marriott when they didn’t have a room for my last night. I can not recommend the JW Marriott El Convento Cusco more and I say this as someone who is a Titanium member who spends 75+ nights in hotel. This along with Mena house in Egypt top 3 compared to the luxury collection in Sydney earlier this year. I say that only to say I have seen the rest on all 7 continents having stayed at Marriotts on 6/7 this year. I know what I am talking about and this is well worth it.

Marriott has done an amazing job converting this historic building into a cozy and yet remarkable hotel in its own class. The rooms, the bathrooms, the layout (they make the best effort considering the historic nature of the building) and the grand lobby plus … of course the amazing piazza that will make you want to stay longer But the most memorable are how the staff treat us with their utmost courtesy. From the greeter to the housekeeper and anyone that we met along the way. They greet with sincerity and always ready to offer any help. I'm impressed with how the hotel train their staff.

Amazing ambience, good food and a short to Plaza Armas. Enjoyed taking pictures and talking with the Peruvian lady with an Alpaca.

Very unique building as it was originally a convent. Beautiful entrance lobby and lovely sunny courtyard. Rooms are clean and spacious and staff very friendly and helpful.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed with. The building and restoration work Marriott did were amazing. The rooms are super nice and the beds very comfortable. But what really sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff. I have been to many hotels across the world. But the staff here is the best. It starts with their. First welcome and extends to every aspect of your interaction with them. They treat you like an honored guest and they genuinely act like they are happy to help you in any way. I was impressed and that is hard to do. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if in Cusco. It's an amazing experience. If you want to feel like a dignitary or rockstar, this is the hotel to do it at. As a side note the breakfast is amazing too. I loved our stay here and am now looking for reasons to be. Back and do it again.

The hotel is beautiful but what is exceptional about the JW Marriott Cusco is the service. The staff is outstanding. They anticipate your needs; they take care of every detail — big or small; they make an effort to get to know your name; and they deliver excellence at every opportunity. We loved it so much we came back during our short stay in Peru. I highly recommend it!

Magnificent hotel which has been seamlessly integrated into a centuries old monastery. The service was first rate with attentive and friendly staff at every turn. The rooms were clean and modern with good Wi-Fi, television and thermostats. The courtyard is an oasis where one can sit and enjoy the quietude sipping tea dreaming of what took place there in its former life as a monastery. Great bar and restaurant too.

We recently spent a week at this hotel. The facility was amazing. The food was superb. By far the best thing about our stay was the staff. They were extremely accommodating to our every need and request. They helped us locate our lost luggage and had many activities for hotel guests. Location is convenient to all the sights in Cusco.

Wonderful 5 star hotel. But if you’re looking for an authentic Peruvian experience, this isn’t the place. We felt like 99% of the guests were English speaking Americans. We didn’t mind it at all but if you’re looking to “get away, ” good luck. Food, service and spa are top notch. Would love to return one day.

Definitely the best hotel we have ever started at! The hotel was impeccable, staff was extremely friendly/helpful, and the daily activities were a lot of fun. Every aspect of the JW Marriott Cusco was a 10 out of 10. We really enjoyed the spa, the breakfast offerings, and the daily Pisco Sours from the bar. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cusco or a special trip to Cusco just to stay there (not kidding! ) We really appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of Brian with guest services. He checked us in and out, creating a phenomenal guest experience the entirety of our stay. He took interest in the activities we had planned and did everything possible to ensure our stay was flawless. It certainly was and we won’t soon forget it!

Lots of history! The amount of work that went into restoring this place and the attention to detail is spectacular. The staff is great always friendly and willing to help. You can see they take great pride in their city and the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived, their customer services was exceptional. I did not touch my luggage once. Which is usually not a big deal for me, but the fact that I was aware of it says a lot for other places I've stayed at. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Their room service was very fast, efficient, and polite. They accommodated all of my rides to varies destinations. I also have to note, the day we were traveling to Machu Picchu at 430am they were kind enough to pack up a breakfast to go. All in all, this hotel is beautiful and their service is exceptional.

The service was excellent. The location is perfect. Far enough from the main plaza to be quiet but a very short walk.

Definitely the best care I have ever received in my life, absolutely all do even the impossible to make you feel at home. They provide you with all possible facilities, anything you need you only get. The rooms are great, the pool, and the Spa area is also perfect, there is no way to feel stressed. The breakfast very good and varied, a luxury experience and that I plan to repeat it anyway. Many thanks for both!

Excellent service very historical is conscruido on an Inca temple that was taken over by the jesuits.

My husband and I have traveled all over the world and this hotel is our favorite. It is beautiful and authentic but the best part of it is the superb service and care the employees give at every venue. They obviously love their jobs and their hotel and it shows. We loved it and will definitely return!

If you want to stay in an elegantly luxurious hotel that manages to incorporate an impressive amount of history in its construction and is a destination in itself, this is it. From the authentic courtyard lined with museum-quality Peruvian woven art to the complementary tour of original stonework, you'll find yourself spending time appreciating the structure. And of course, being a high-end hotel, you get all the luxuries you expect at this price point including the spa-like bathroom (tub and shower), vast breakfast spread, great cocktail bar, comfortable bedding, and highly attentive service.

A place that is very luxurious and nice to be hosted. However the price is not affordable for a person of low purchasing power. The breakfast Bufeth is very good, but to discriminate against someone who is not typical with the offers, since that one Sunday a month gives the price in dollars to price in soles if you are pretenders. Which is a differential treatment that should not exist.

My daughter and I have loved staying at this hotel. Every staff member has been welcoming and more than willing to go out of his or her way to make us feel pampered. Any request we had was addressed. As an example, we came back to the hotel soaked from a downpour. The staff had our clothes dried, folded and returned within an hour. The public spaces are inviting and comfortable. The rooms are standard but well equipped with anything you might need including toothbrush and toothpaste. The spa is open 24/7 and our massages have been wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel. We have loved staying here.

Small shower, but great service and great connected restaurant. Very nice for a 5 star hotel in Peru. The building has a cool history with it and the pool and spa are very nice. Very comfortable rooms and clean hotel overall.

Amazing place and an amazing story of preservation. Food and staff are incredible. The history of the building is fascinating (take the short tour with the monk), but make sure you understand that some of the rooms are underground and face a lit Inca foundation wall. If you don't want that then the upper rooms facing into the courtyard are best. The higher and more expensive, of course, the better. Thourouhly recommend.

The JW Marriott El Convento, located in Cusco, is the perfect hotel to spend a holiday and get to know the wonderful city of Cusco.
The most enjoyable Thing about the hotel, beyond the architectural beauty, is the friendly attention of its employees who are always willing to help you in everything.

Good location in central Cusco, which enabled us to walk to most of the places we wanted to go to, including the best restaurants, museums, attractions, etc. Built around a former 'convento' (as in for monks not nuns), and designed around a central courtyard, the hotel premises have a rich heritage, which adds to its appeal. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant, and that was very good. Our room was smallish but adequate.

Excellent service throughout the hotel, including the restaurant and bar. Cocktails are very well done and the food in the restaurant quite good. Shout out to our lovely Venezuelan waitress in the hotel restaurant who is a complete gem!

I really liked this hotel, has a very convenient location, the building is gorgeous with great service and food. I highly recommend staying here for business or leisure. =)

Marriott hotel never disappoints me … JW Marriott cusco is a wonderful property with a perfect location. Amenty includes oxygen in room which is great. Staff makes you feel at home … will definitely going back and staying here!

This is the most epic hotel I've ever stayed at. The site was built atop ancient Inca ruins. Some of it is still intact and you can view it during their nightly tour. The rooms were top quality with a large TV and DirecTV service. Oxygen is pumped into the rooms to ease breathing at the high elevation. Our package included complimentary breakfast, lunch, and Pisco Sours. The location is very close to the town square, so there are a lot of shops and restaurants in close proximity. You might even get to have your picture taken with a baby alpaca!

The JW Marriott Cusco was absolutely amazing The decor was so different and beautiful! We chose this hotel as we were on our honeymoon and it was perfect. We stayed in a Classic Inca room and a Terrace room, both of which were exquisite! The staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating, eager to answer any questions we had and catered to our every need. The hotel's restaurant, Quespi was outstanding! Our booking included breakfast and lunch and exceeded our expectations. In addition to ensuring we were satisfied with our meals, Heivel, one of the chefs, also took us a complimentary "Market Tour" to a local market, where we were able to taste local fruits and breads. We also enjoyed the pool and meeting Panchito, the local alpaca. We had the perfect honeymoon and the JW Marriott was a major reason why!

Spent 4 nights here out of a 12-day trip through Peru. Very nice, outgoing and attentive staff who went out of their way to provide outstanding service. They were very interested in sharing points of interest around Cusco and for me, provide tips for coping with altitude sickness. My family, friends and I enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it. Wi-Fi was fairly fast compared to other hotels we stayed at. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Nice amenities! Restaurant and bar serve up good food and drinks at reasonable prices.

The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The staff (especially in the bar and restaurant) are very friendly and accommodating. I think between myself and the group I was with, we tried just about everything on the menu in the bar and restaurant, and every single thing was quite good. There was a gentleman in the restaurant (Alexander) who was a credit to the establishment. Myself and the 7 other people I was with all would come back to this place in a heartbeat, especially for the food.

Beautiful, comfortable hotel in the middle of the old town.

I've spent upwards of 1, 500 nights at Marriott hotels around the world and the JW in Cusco is easily the best property I've stayed at. The location is great, the hotel is beautiful, and pays tribute to the history of the site. The employees provided exceptional service. We also ate at the bar three times and found the quality of the food to be top-notch. There is a $25 "resort fee" but includes two Pisco Sours and a $10 food credit, amongst other things. There is no concierge lounge, but we didn't really miss it as we had free breakfast. We stayed twice, at the beginning and end of our trip, and we're upgraded both times (this was based on my status). All in all a wonderful experience that I highly recommend.

I have traveled all over the world, and I feel that my experience at this hotel in Cusco stands above the rest. The setting in the convent was picturesque and historic. The room was well appointed with tiled shower and separate tub, butler'a pantry, hardwood floors, and luxurious beds. In addition the pink Peruvian bath salts, robe, and slippers were a comforting touch. The restaurant, coco tea, complimentary pisco sour, relaxation pool, hot tub and sauna certainly eased the weariness away after a long day at Machu Picchu. The staff was the friendliest I have ever met, making sure to accommodate our every need. If you are visiting Cusco, this is the place you must stay!

The best place to stay in the city. If you planning to go to sacred valley or Machu Picchu, do that first. And then, come back to the hotel for glorious breakfast before the flight back home.

The ambiance is fantastic at this hotel. As a platinum Marriott member I was greatly dissappointed as the rooms were very noisy and the windows did not close completely so you could hear the street noise all night long. The staff was very friendly and even made us meals early in the morning to take with us on our tours.

Special thanks to the Front Desk Manager Jose and assistant Dario. They were of such great help and everything ran smooth. GREAT STAFF and attention to deals and making their Guest Happy. They go the extra mile. The Transportation Girl (see never sleeps) was always there to greet us and to be sure our transportation and excursions went well. The hotel is wonderful and check out the SPA. We did not like the town but this hotel makes it all wonderful for your trip to machupitchu. A must stay place and reasonable. We went and saw other hotels for about the same price… NO COMPARISON AND A OUT OF THE WORLD BREAKFAST. One of the best we have seen. YOU will be glad you stayed here and use their reasonable transportation in wonderful large clean cars. Again special thanks Jose and Dario. You are truly great representatives for the Marriott’s.

We stayed at the Marriott with my husband and three kids (8, 4, and 1 year old). Let start with the good aspects: * Great location so you can go easily stop by during the day to rest for a little while. * Great heated swimming pool. If you are traveling with kids it is oh-so-valuable at the end of a long day! * Very friendly staff, although they did book our restaurant for the wrong day so double check when you ask them to make a reservation for you! The very bad point was the food. It started as a disappointment; they seem to believe that kids only eat nuggets (or their fried chicken finger's version), fries and spaghetti. If you want to give your kids anything healthier than that you need to pay a FULL price meal, and even then some days my kids refuse to eat because it was so bland. If you travel with small kids, you know how convenient it is for them to eat at the hotel and not have to wonder around at night, so this was a big issue for us. The highlight of the food topic was a food poisoning event. Of course you can't tell for sure where you ate something spoiled but since we all shared our food at lunch and only had dinner with my husband, the most likely culprit is the dinner (langostino-shrimp? ) that we had at the hotel. We could never imagine we would get spoiled food at this hotel.

Stay at this hotel during 4 nights and absolutely disappointed by unfriendly staff and poor service. Minimum rate for 1 night is about 660$, but the most popular answer of reception is No. Could you check Wi-Fi connection at the spa? — No. Could you prepare lunch box? — No, because we need 48 hours priority to do this. Could you change the room, because I don't like the view from the window to the next building wall? — No. In spa area receptionist didn't offer towels, slippers and locker key. And so on and so on and so on! Don't waste your money.

Just like staying at the Hermitage, Beverly Hills. Be greeted, be pampered and offered the best there is to have. I particularly like this posh getaway. The staff is exemplary, the cocktails and bartenders are A+, and that Cheeseburger is just fricking crazy awesome. JWM won't let you down. Grazie, gene-henry. @wardstr.

The best hotel I have ever stayed. Perfect location. Close to the main square in Cusco and walkable distance to lot of places. The staff was welcoming and very courteous. They tale good care of their guests. Will definitely stay in this place if I ever go back.
