This is one of the nicest hotels in one of the prettiest cities I have had the pleasure to stay in Latin America. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and found me a room quickly when I was too sick to make it to my next destination. The shower was hot and there was an actual bath to be had with shampoo and conditioner in adorable custom-made ceramic containers. Breakfast is served on top of their patio with an amazing view of the Cathedral and mountains. There is a well-stocked mini-bar and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The design is also well done and the price reasonable. The only complaint, but this is true for almost every hotel I have ever stayed at in Latin America, is that you can hear everything happening in the hallway and you are inevitable awakened by the cleaning crew as they start their duties in the early morning.

Wow, what a great place to stay and discover arequipa. What makes this hotel a great place to stay is not just the perfect location, amazing room or the morning breakfast on a balcony overlooking the square, it's the staff, simply beautiful people who care for the guests who stay there.

Superb rooftop to appreciate the place of arms of Arequipa this city is beautiful.
the access to the rooftop is done by the elevator and then it's the top. Small cocktail and local dishes to enjoy the view. The service is perfect more than to enjoy.

Very expensive and small to the side there is a hotel that charge less than half and excellent attention and have an exclusive bar.

Didn't stay at the hotel do can't review it but everyone who enjoys beautiful views should have a drink and a bite on the rooftop terrasse and watch the sunset on the volcanoes and the spectacular cathedral.

There a sign that says "comida árabe" or something. This is not your average falafel. Impossibly delicious. There's this little Turkish hole-in-the-wall restaurant. They serve a falafel in a tortilla with four exquisite sauces. I know I sound really gay but I'm so excited about this. And sangria by the copa with little tiny cubes of strawberry — 'frutilla' here. She told me the sauces but I'm having trouble with this accent. They just arbitrarily drop final consonants and skip initial vowel ones, make no effort whatsoever to slow their speech, and giggle at you for being white.

What a gem! Small rooms, but right on the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa. Access to balcony for breakfast and at night. You need to be able to tote your luggage a few blocks, and you need to climb stairs.

Lousy attention, the photos shown on the booking pages, and their website are totally fixed, as the reality is another small rooms, the beds are too narrow, no ventilation in the room and much less in the bathroom as the rooms are A kind of closed small and narrow boxes which is horrible does not make you want to stay even a minute in the room, there is always a lot of noise there is a casino on the side with a noise from morning to night! Basic Breakfast for what you pay for was not lousy Buffet nothing advisable!

Everything good, the food delicious and the staff attention was fenomenal, they treat you like loyalty, over all excellent.

This is a nice little hotel (really small) in the center of the plaza in Arequipa. It’s steps away from the cathedral and many restaurant. We checked in late at night and got our room fairly fast. The reception guy could use some smile. The room was small but surprisingly clean, well organized and had a modern feel to it. The beds are very comfortable. Depending on where your room is, you can be with or without a window. Our room was without a window, which is fine since I am only there for 1 night. The one with the window can be super bright at night, as the yellowish light from the plaza will come in at night, making it harder for you to sleep.

Extremely friendly staff made this hotel at the heart of the city a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace with gorgeous views of Plaza de Armas and the surrounding mountains. The food was excellent, as well. We love this place.

Horrible service. I payed for a taxi service I never received and I found bugs in my breakfast. I contacted the staff to solve these issues, but they have been very unapologetic and responsive about it. It's a shame for this hotel. Please, I recommend staying away from this place.

The Katari was amazing! My husband and I stayed there 2 nights in the presidential suite, we loved it and wish we could have stayed longer! The views are outstanding, the beds and pillows are really comfortable, the staff is friendly and so helpful, and the location is great. Best hotel we've ever stayed at, no question.

Very very good hotel. With a rooftop overlooking the cathedral, and the place of arms, with a breathtaking view of the two volcanoes! Arequipa in its "splendour" postcard remember! Excellent breakfast on the rooftop! Home excellent, and effective!

Be prepared to handle the noise of events in the Plaza, as the Hotel is facing it. Our room didn't have an air conditioner, so we had to open the windows, which let the noise in.

Excellent location, staff are very friendly and the rooftop terrace is amazing to have breakfast and an incredible view. Only downside there are no kettle in the room to make a cup of tea. Bed is beautiful and huge! The shampoo made my hair really soft.

The location is perfect. Close to everything in the area. The receptionist Nieve very nice and professional and every staff are too. The bed OMGGG is to die for. Very comfortable huge! Many choices for breakfast excellent. 4 star because I really would like to have a kettle and make my own nice cuppa tea or coffe. Otherwise 5 star and extremely recommended. Hot water very nice. Also best terrace view in the Plaza.

The situation is really once. The hotel is located right on Plaza de Armes opposite the cathedral. From the roof terrace you can look directly at the main square of Arequipa and its cathedral. In the background sees the three large volcanoes. The service was in line with the hotel category. The breakfast was very varied with lots of different things. From hearty to sweet, there was really something for every palate. The room furniture met an upscale standard and the bed was also very comfortable. We were also able to have one of our bags stored in the hotel for 3 days. There is also a tourist information right next to the hotel. ATMs, restaurants and supermarkets are nearby.
Unfortunately, I can only go along with the other reviews to a limited extent. That's largely because we had booked the "presidential suite. " I have to say that I expected more for the highest room category and this designation. The room size was good for a hotel of this category, but not for this suite designation. I also expected a separate shower in the bathroom. The lack of view from the windows is, of course, attributable to the location, but the fact that I can look directly out of my "balcony door" into the neighboring room is very unhappily solved.

Small room but clean. Location is superb! Right in at the Square where all events are happening. Breakfast at the balcony was nice with view of the square and the Cathedral.
