Just wonderful food, great service, gorgeous wines and an idyllic setting.

Great hotel that I stay for business, good food, great welcoming and friendly staff and walking distance to the little town for an evening stroll.

Amazing food, staff, everything.

We had cake, wine and beer and borrel foods! It’s all good and not so expensive. We had to stop there in Schoorl and by chance we stumbled at this hotel … gezellige uitzicht!

Prachtige kamer, veel aandacht voor de gasten en gemoedelijke sfeer. Restaurant is Michelin ster absoluut waard.

Both the hotel and the restaurant are exceptional and deserve their own 5 stars. The view of the rooms and the restaurant are so peaceful, one can forget anything else… The food is as expected very delicious, service was exceptional! The rooms seemed to have their own styling, we had a yellow ish interior which was very nice.

What can I say, this hotel and restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. Food in the michelin star was delicious. The breakfast superb and the who style and ambiance is great, everything is in the little details very well decorated. A big staff is present fulfilling every need and on top of that super friendly. A big fance wine list and if you don't want to eat in the Michelin star restaurant you can have very good food in the gran caffe. Enough parking space and close near all the nice things in Schoorl. We will definitely return. Hotel rooms are also very nice and very modern but cozy, tip not all the hotel rooms have an A/C.

Lunchen in het Grand Cafe is heerlijk en het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Diner in het sterrenrestaurant is een beleving. Voor fijnproevers eigenlijk een must.

The food was absolutely delicious. The dishes looked like works of art; especially the amazing "walk in the woods" desert. Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience and relaxed atmosphere.

Once a charming Michelin star restaurant, now a common brasserie with awful coffee and quite unfriendly service.

Excellent service at an international level, which is rare in the netherlands. Quality facilities and decor, good food at the bistro (didn't try the Michelin restaurant).

Tout était parfait. L'accueil et le service toujours avec le sourire, la Chambre, l'ambiance…
Mais surtout le restaurant «Merlet» (une étoile Michelin et d'autres récompenses). Comparé aux restaurants Étoilés and France, Le merlet mérite deux etoiles pour nous. Une expérience unique. Quel Chef!
Le Grand Café «le Bourgogne» vaut aussi le détour. Pour moins the €30 on fait un très bon dîner.
D'origine hollandaise et vivant en France, j'espère que you retournerai un jour avec mon mari à Schoorl pour profiter de l'hôtel and SES restaurants mais aussi des dunes et des magnifiques plages de schoorl et de Bergen aan Zee.

Yes, I give 5/5 to Merlet!
Everything was perfect. The reception and the service always with an enthusiastic smile, the room, the atmosphere.
But especially the restaurant «Merlet» (one Michelin star and other rewards). Compared to star restaurants in France, the Merlet deserves at least two stars for us. A unique experience. What a chef!
Originally Nederlandsche and living in France, I hope I can come back again with my husband in Schoorl to take advantage of this hotel, but also of the dunes and the beautiful beach of Schoorl and Bergen aan Zee.
