Love this property, but it's not in the heart of things. That's great for a nights sleep but a cab ride to the sites. This property has an executive lounge with great views. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is great.

Strongly suggest a canal view room that has charming and unobstructed views of Amsterdam. Outdoor bar area overlooking canal. Would DEFINITELY return!

I had the best time in this hotel. From the moment we arrived to the check-out it was a wonderful experience. Pretty much everybody famous has stopped in this hotel and you can see and feel the rich history everywhere. The hotel rooms have a more heavy coloring of bronze and gold and the furniture is made out of dark wood. This place feels like it's straight from the 70's, but that doesn't mean it looks dated. The dinner, breakfast were great and the service was so fast and very helpful. I felt I could relax and just enjoy my vacation. I would definitely come back to this hotel and I will look forward to my next stay!

While the room was very dated, it was a large and had a gorgeous balcony. No amenity was missing. What made this hotel outstanding, the people. It is the highest quality service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. I have lived, worked or traveled to 96 countries and am in the hospitality industry. Never, have I been awestruck by the incredible level of professional execution regarding every facet of customer service. The food at the hotel is delightful. The location utterly charming. Excellent service and beautiful views of the mini-suite. The Lounge is small, but there is always room.

This hotel is nice especially the lobby and the area outside on the canal. Its a bit far from the old city but close to the museums. However, the staff is very unhelpful. This hotel only has twin rooms or king bed rooms. Be aware the twin is two single beds, very small. I had a King, asked for a double, got a twin, then they switched me back to a King but it was small. My room was hot, even though the AC was set to 65 degrees F for hours and the curtain drawn. When I got back it was the same. I was not pleased and overall I would not stay there again.

I only went for drinks and canapes but view breathtaking and staff lovely.

If I could have given more stars, I would do that. Friendly, kind, helpful staff. Let me tell you a story. We were staying at double tree, and our baby was cold, because the room was too cold. Even though we asked many times, they could not make the room warmer due to summer session, they could not even provide a simple heater. Then we switched to Hilton, they did their outmost, and they are always solution oriented, they told the same due to summer session, the most highest temperature is 22.5 but they provided extra heater, it is that much simple, Yes making a customer satisfied, is as simple as this. Besides this problem, the room has wonderful view, you can find delicious breakfast and snacks on executive lounge.

It was great seeing Amsterdam and our stay @Hilton. The service was good and was a cozy relaxing room. With some good sight seeing through the window of the hotel room. Overall it's good though a little expensive choice.

Location and service.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but for its level there are obvious drawbacks: just 2 lifts to such a huge hotel! The elevator can wait 10 minutes. Breakfast for this level to put it mildly weak. The greens are poorly washed, I found dirt in it and showed the waiter. He spared the administrator, who apologized, but did not suggest how to "smooth out the unpleasant sensations. " The first time was so that in a 5 star hotel in a salad was a lump of land: it is clearly not washed! There were problems with the refund of the deposit, wanted to return 2 times less. As a result, the deposit balance was returned after correspondence. For this price this level is ridiculous!

A great place to stay central location. Good quiet rooms and helpful staff. Amazing coffee and pastries will stay again if back that way.

Was there for a 3 days conference. Reasonable nice 5 stars hotel, generally friendly staff. Slightly dated when compared to some others. Room service slower than expected. Young Concierge will require better training but the senior concierge deserve a praise and bonus for the extra effort. Not sure whether it’s my luck but seem to meet a lot of staffs in training.

Good hotel, good service, very good breakfast where is included the dish of the day prepared by the chef, plus you can also order including pancakes and omelets. The rooms are getting old although they are still good, they have an excellent bathroom, towels, board and iron with two huge pillows, one hard and the other soft. They do not have rooms for allergies so in all rooms there is carpet. Parking is expensive per day (35 EUR). You will be charged the city tax per day (11 euros) and the minibar service of the room is automatic, so if you mistakenly take something to see what this is you will be charged to your room, but will be discounted if you inform that you have not consumed. I recommend the rooms that overlook the river. It has a dream coffee bar and a huge and very nice terrace to enjoy the sun and the view to the river. At the hotel they sell tickets for various parks and museums. In short I recommend this hotel definitely.

Nice hotel if you don’t like the businesses of the city. Rooms are a decent size and staff was really helpful.

Very good and clean hotel. The quality you expect from Hilton. Our rooms were clean and big. Same for bathrooms. Clean with big bathtubs. Ask for canal view room. They have nice bar area and italian restaurant, although I found italian restaurant not that great and a bit on the pricey. But we only ate their only on first nite so couldn't explore full menu. Also our last week was Italy so I was probably biased :). Hotel has good connections to tram and buses. The nearest stop is only back of the hotel across the canal. You can even buy day passes from the gift shop within the hotel. Enjoy your stay!

The hotel is located just outside the centre, but can be easily reached by public transport. Taxis cost €20 at night.
The rooms are clean and spacious, especially the bathroom. The staff is very friendly.

From the outside, the hotel deserves a small renovation but once you have passed the door, you end up in a soothing and relaxing atmosphere.
A nice and smiling service, a varied buffet and plenty for breakfast, a large well equipped gym.

The hotel is not bad, but it is already a few years old and needs a modernization.
The staff at the front desk didn't seem attentive, they seemed a bit annoying.

The hotel itself is very nice, although something has come up in the years. The rooms are quite large and you have (depending on the room of course) a good view of the city of Amsterdam. Parking costs even for guests 30euro ordering, which in my opinion is a bit too expensive. And yes, I am aware that such prices are relatively normal in Amsterdam. The staff were both friendly and rude. The gentleman at the entrance was very talkative and got up until my taxi came very nice to entertain me. Unfortunately, the receptionist seemed to have a bad day, as she appeared to me a little motivationless. And the other employees just seem to be doing their job without smiling big. Unfortunately, the hotel is not just at the city centre, so you have to drive with public time 20 minutes or pay by taxi 20-25 euro. Breakfast, however, is convincing in many respects. Lots of choice, very fresh and tasty.

Beautiful Location, well worth having the Canal View Room. Executive Lounge had a great free breakfast and 15 minutes walk Museum District with many busses and trams also located nearby.

Was clean and in a nice location. Bar wait staff needs some more training serving people outside, they forgot orders. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and the location was excellent. We did not recommend it to people who go with small children due to the locale, we went two adults and at night if or if taxi to return.

The Hilton Amsterdam is perfectly located near Museumplein. The old city is minutes away with public transport or with good weather just a 20 minute walk away via Vondelpark. The staff is very friendly and very helpfull during your stay. I love the Hilton Amsterdam their style and the rooms were cleaned well. A nice view if you have rooms on higher floor and some with stunning views over the city! We had diner in Roberto’s. What was this a again a great pleasure. The food was so good. The service was TOP! I had a great stay and I look forward to come again. Well done team Hilton Amsterdam!

Very far from the center. The facilities are old but try to stay as a luxury hotel. Points in favor: Rrestaurante Roberto's, neighborhood, views and own marina.

Location is far enough away from central Amsterdam, yet close enough to appreciate Jordaan neighborhood and its locals, restaurants, bars. A must for individuals who like, or don't mind to walk over canals.

Realy outdated and poor service. I had a problem with a horrible smell in the closed of my room. Yes they kindly gave me an other room but all my cloths (coat, suits, shirts) had a horrible smell. They kindly offered a compensation … I did not had to pay my € 11. — — minibar bill. If you want a nice stay in Amsterdam, look for a better place.

Excellent Hotel, spacious and equipped rooms, the area of the city in which it is located is very comfortable and quiet.

This is THE best Hilton in the world! From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave, the staff make you feel like royalty. The Van Gogh Suite is the best hotel room I've ever stayed in — it is simply perfect. The food is 5* excellent.
I would not stay anywhere else in Amsterdam. Very, very happy. Thank you!

It was maybe glamorous in the 60's, now it's showing its age. But everything is still functional. Wonderful breakfast though. And a nice view from the 6th floor.

Wonderful location away from the city centre in a beautiful neighbourhood. You can easily take the 24 tram directly from central station to Minervaplein, and from that stop it's only a 5 minute walk to this hotel. The staff were courteous and I enjoyed my stay! The King room with the canal view was delightful. Wifi was a bit slow and there were come connection/disconnection problems but overall it didn't detract from my experience.

The stay here was great, the staff were all sorer attentive and helpful. We got in on an early flight and we were checked in able to get in to our room 3-4 hours earlier than we were expecting to. The rooms were nice and I loved the showerhead. We had a beautiful we view from the 9th floor out across the city. The executive lounge had pretty great food and drink options, the eggs were cooked perfectly and really yummy. The hotel isn't super close to the "city center" but Amsterdam is so spread out that most of the places we were going were closer to us than they would have been had we stayed somewhere else. All in all is definitely stay here again it was an amazing experience.

This is a really nice hotel. The staff is very friendly. The bed is comfortable, and the rooms are very clean. The only possible negative is its a bit of a distance from the central city, but it's a nice quiet area and very pretty.

Me and my partner stayed here for our 3 year anniversary, the view that we requested was beautiful, the staff we were really friendly, rooms were cleaned very well and to a high standard. Bad points are that we were not told at any point of booking the hotel that we would have to pay an upfront fee of €140/£140 to cover us for the minibar, the Wi-Fi wasn't very good as it kept going on and off every 5 minutes and couldn't even hold a good facetime with our family back home, also the food and drink was on the dear side.

Great location. On the canal. The outdoor area on the canal is beautiful and has service. Ross were really nice. The exec lounge was excellent. Winner, spirits, champagne, great food, nice view. Just wished the line was bigger with more couches. 6$ Uber to the best of Amsterdam.

Currently staying here and can say that I have received absolutely excellent service from the friendly and helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble for them.

We stayed here in May 2013 and had an amazing time at the hotel. The staff was very knowledgable and accommodating.

The room and service was beautiful but £100 was taken from my bank card by the hotel. I had not used my card to pay for anything and I paid for the hotel on a different card. The card was left in the safe. The only way for them to have taken money would have been for them to go into the safe and take the details on the card. When I emailed the hotel, I received no response. When I called the hotel, they refused to speak to me about the matter.

We had our honeymoon here! The breakfast was amazing, the personnel seemed sincerely friendly and even tried to speak a word of Dutch, although they all seemed to be foreigners. It was good to be a tourist in our own city for 2 nights and to sleep in such a nice place.

Live opposite the Hilton and used to visit occasionally for food/drinks, but giving up as getting tired of the poor and unfriendly service. Last encounter a few weeks back, as I tried to book a hall for my wife's birthday party. Was told there was plenty of space and would be contacted within 24hours with a proposal. After 36hours of non-contact called back and asked to whom I could complain about this. I kept getting passed on from one receptionist to another without getting hold of anyone with any authority. In the end was assured I would be called back again within the next 24hours. Nothing happened again, and I called back after 48hours. Got some excuse story and a promise of someone calling me back shortly. Obviously, never received a call. Never encountered such poor and unprofessional behavior in any other well-known hotel before. Avoid the Hilton, Okura and Amstel are far superior in all aspects. Will never go back for a restaurant either.

I stayed in Hilton Amsterdam this year for a third time and really begin to feel like I'm coming home. The most of the staff members already know me and are so kind and accommodating! The difference this year was that I booked King Deluxe room with canal view which turned out to be a way better than the one I stayed in the last 2 times. My favourite spots are the garden and the rooftop breakfast area.

My parents recommended this hotel to me and it didn't disappoint. I actually loved the fact that the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city life but convenient for the tram. Comfortable rooms, mine was with a panorama of Amsterdam and was cleaned every day. Not too much luxury but pleasant enough.
