DO NOT STAY HERE! Buyer beware. The staff here is corrupt and slimy. I had a trip planned to Amsterdam and a few other countries. When Omicron hit and the Netherlands completely shut down their country, I had to cancel my travel plans. Rather than understanding that this circumstance is out of my control and prevents me from visiting, the hotel refuses to issue a refund. They are literally scrambling to figure out how to save a buck at the customers expense when it’s clear that it’s not our fault that we can’t visit. Instead of taking it out on their government they take it out on the customer and stick us with the bill. Disgusting and vile company and the workers are complicit. Book somewhere else!

Friendly staff and much appreciated welcome drinks even though my glass of cava was a quarter full but hey ho … beautiful rooms and ambiance… with a 24hr gym and butcher restaurant although no good for me as I am vegan.

This is the coolest hotel ever! We were immediately greeted by the nicest young lady on the elevator who pointed us to the reception desk. Then another wonderful employee checked us in, got us coffee, personally showed us to our room which even had a record player with a large choice of vintage albums available in the lobby. The free ferry to the city center was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our day in Amsterdam. Thank you to your great staff for setting the positive tone for our trip. We also ate lunch at the hotel bar and had excellent food and service. I highly recommend and hope I am fortunate enough to return one day and stay at the Sir Adam again. Thank you Marriott for acquiring this gem of a boutique hotel!

Great friendly check-in, even a free beer during. Really funky hotel. Elevator's all have a different theme and music. Room ceilings are high. Beds clean and comfortable! Good night sleep. Butcher had a good burger, fries and shake.

A fantastic place to stay. The rooms were clean and well sized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There's a decent restaurant on the ground floor, and there was a turn table in every room! Across from the main train station with a free barge over the river 24/7.

Great place to stay in Amsterdam. Funky hotel with great rooms, a lively lobby and just a short ferry ride from the central station, right in the middle of Amsterdam. The rooms were very quiet, the bed excellent. Free pastries and drinks at the reception desk, a glass of bubbly when you arrive. The first photo is the view from the hotel to the central station. Excellent hotel. I travel a lot & the details at Adam make the difference. Great lighting in each room, record player for music & a disco lift. What more could you want. Staying there during ADE they provided me with ear plugs & an apology for the noise but on the upside I got to see Black Coffee play in the lobby. My kind of place. One of my top hotels globally.

Sir Adam is very different from the normal hotel, very hip, trendy and quirky. Great for music lovers turntable and an eclectic mix of music for most generations. Beautiful views of The river and city from a Double Deluxe river view room. The city is just a free ferry ride across the river arriving at Amsterdam Ceentral station, then its off to wherever you like from there (15 minute walk to Dam Square), The rooms are whatever size you would like to pay for, very soft relaxing beds and linen, walk in shower seperate w/c large screen TV and vety helpful staff members.

This hotel is gorgeous, hip and comfortable. A quick ferry ride gets you straight to Central Station so it is very easy for travelers. Views of the canal are divine and being out of the crazy downtown scene is nice for actually sleeping. My daughter is convinced the rooms are soundproof because we couldn't hear each other singing next door. Space is a bit tight but nothing unusual for Europe or NYC for that matter.

This absolutely has to be the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Amsterdam. Every detail of this hotel from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you pass out at night has been manicured to the best degree. Customer service has been amazing anytime anything has been needed. The quick tour of the property and your room upon check-in was a great introduction to the hotel. The room was an oasis and provided many media outlets and lighting options. Power outlets were ample and the shower room is designed to make you relax and take your time. Every inch of the room was high end (except the toilet paper) and was worth the visit.

This Hotel is amazing! The staff is absolutely on point and almost too nice! There are arcade games, pinball machines, air hockey and all kinds of fun stuff in the bar area. All the rooms have record players. Two restaurants (Madame and Moon) that are absolutely out of this world and on the 20th floor so overlooks the city. There is a club in the basement. And most importantly, the beds are extremely comfortable! My one and only choice in Amsterdam as far as I am concerned!

My partner and I have just spent 3 nights at the ‘Sir Adam’, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty, offered a glass of ‘fizz’, shown around and given recommendations of great places to visit/eat. Our room was fab, loved the record player and selection of vinyls, the bed was comfortable and we had great views! Great location, just across the water from Central station, with 24/7 ferry service ‘free’. Our only complaint is that time just went too quickly, but we have loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

One of my favourite hotels. Very friendly and helpful staff, great views, convenient location. Less than five minutes ferry ride to Amsterdam Centraal station. All the elevators are themed, personal favourite being the disco one, complete with light up floor. The decor is fabulous and if you fall in love with something you can purchase many of the items from the hotel shop.

The best bed, pillows, and blanket of all of my hotel experiences. The rooms are wonderful, rain shower is great and spacious and the atmosphere… damn. You get a record player with records in your room and can pick out records from the lobby. I would stay here all the time if I had the money.

Hotel was very nice! Super quite rooms, record player in each room. In the same building as the butcher which has lovely food. Staff were very helpful and gave us great tips for the city and for places to eat.

The experience of short stay here was above and beyond my expectations. Special thanks to attentive, welcoming, original and creative staff team. Corner room with a bathtub and panoramic view is the diamond in the crown of Sir Adam.

Suites are amazing and views too. Tons of extra perks. Bed is like drowning in marshmallow heaven. You will not want to get out of bed or leave your room. Service is great. Gym is great. Hotel bar is great. Location is great. Rooftop is unique. Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for.

Great hotel with an approach. Music. The whole hotel and furnishings are tuned to it. Rooms and staff were totally OK and very friendly location and views from the rooms unique. And the Disco lift is the hammer.

I loved staying at this hotel. It has so many features that make your stay special. 1) it is extremely convenient to arrive to the train station with a water shuttle that departs every 5minutes 2) after check in you get to your room through a disco elevator that inevitably put a smile on your face 3) there is a turntable in your bedroom and you can pick any disk 4) there is Apple TV so you can watch a move from your iPad on TV.

Very trendy and Aussergewönliches hotel. The reception is great and those who ride the elevator to his room for the first time will be delighted (more I won't tell). The rooms are small but very very cool and cuddly furnished. Each room has a turntable and a special one-binoculars. The mini bar is fun and gzt equipped. You can see from the room super on the ferries (especially nice at night) The hotel is super clean and quiet (except in the entrance area where real entertainment is offered — nice seating, cocktail bar, pinball, etc — it's always party! ). It is a pity that you cannot open a window in the room itself. The toilet is separated from the shower. Everything here is thought out to the smallest detail and very stylish and modern furnishings. The breakfast buffet is the most awesome and delicious. The location is great for a weekend getaway. The ferry runs day and night (walking distance to the ferry 3 min. ) and attaches directly to the central station. It is a 3-minute walk to the city centre.

Wow! A very cool hotel with great service. The restaurant is good as well. The wait staff are very friendly, and the beds are super comfortable. The views are wonderful, you will enjoy your stay here.

The beds are extremely comfortable. I felt like I was sleeping inside clouds. The location is great, the only thing is that you have to cross a river every time to get to the city center but it's very short (about a 2 mins ride) the boat is free for everyone, just hop on hop off, it's an experience and the boat comes every 3-4 mins. The hotel itself is also an experience, every elevator has an extremely cool theme and atmosphere. There is a rooftop bar on the hotel called the lookout which is highly recommended (12 euro entrance, but buy the ticket for a bit less from the hotel) … overall, I loved this hotel!

Wow, just wow. Once I got over feeling old surrounded by young trendy people I was able to enjoy the quality and style of the place. The rooms are stylish with record players instead of cd players. The rooms have large windows letting in plenty of light. The bathroom has no curtains just a frosted screen at possibly the right height to protect your modesty when showering against the window. The beds are the comfiest I've ever slept in. The food on in the Butchers restaurant was pretty good. The elevators are super cool, especially the disco one which has a mirror ball and led flooring. Three gripes, the rooms aren't massive, whichever route you take to the front door involves dragging suit cases over cobble stones and reception isn't on the ground floor so it takes multiple elevators to check in and get to your room.

Unique place, art, music, design, good cooking and attention merge in one place.

A brand new design hotel with creative design: The front desk is more like a bar, a vinyl player in the room, a guitar on the wall, and a stunning view of the city from the window! But be sure to take City view or corner room. Only in them-the same view! You can not even climb to the roof in the Lookout, where the excursions tourists carry-the view of Amsterdam across the river and from the window of the room awesome!
Friendly, helpful and, what is important, beautiful and stylish staff. Great Tusovyj Bar with burgers the Butcher downstairs. The restaurants on the top are kind and overrated.
The location has both a plus and a minus. He's on the other side of the river. From Central Station-two minutes by ferry, which runs around the clock. And the same as the same-walk from the pier to the station. But if pouring rain, you have to call Uber, and he goes to a detour through tunnel and it is + 20-30 euros.

Wonderful stay for a quick weekend in Amsterdam with parents. Very much impressed by the different atmosphere in each lift, mostly the disco one (my favorite! ), & the very trendy touch at every corner of the hotel. The furniture was little bit dusty & excessively loud music when dining in was unexpectedly inconvenient, buffet breakfast was little bit confusing too — for first time visitors. But these are forgiven for all the remaining great things from food to hotel facilities.

Spent the weekend with my daughter and found Sir Adam to be truly extraordinary. They really go the extra mile in every way. The location couldn't be more perfect, directly across downtown Amsterdam and over the canal with a ferry stopping every 15 min. The staff was extremely polite, kind and helpful. Super fun lobby with lots of fun and games to entertain individuals and groups and all included in the cost of the room. The main hotel restaurant is the best, we enjoyed several very relaxing means there. I am planning a 2018 European trip and have worked hard to schedule a couple of days at the Sir Adam Amsterdam Hotel. I can't wait. It's hard to express the level of satisfaction we experienced here if anything my review might actually be understated. Sir Adam is a must if your staying in the area.

Amazing hotel with a 70s style, you can chose vinyls in the library at the reception and listen it in you room. The elevators are funky and brand new, everything is well made and at night you can enjoy a concert in the ground floor and have a nice burger. You can also play ping pong or any arcade game at the lobby. Very nice ambiance and a lot of fun…

This hotel is amazing. The room was fantastic with a view over the river, huge windows with perfect blackout blinds, a great shower, a record player and coffee machine in the room, a huge comfy bed, and the staff were super helpful and nice. There is a disco lift which everyone was videoing due to its immensity, and basically the place just has a great atmosphere. The bar underneath does good food and cocktails. The ferry runs 24h to centraal station and it's easy to get to. Basically, stay here, but don't fill it up when I need to go :)

One of the coolest hotels I have ever stayed at. Me and my wife stayed here during the second leg of our honeymoon. Rooms have record players and a few vynls while there is a larger library at the reception for you to borrow from. The bar downstairs is pretty chill too with billiards tables, table tennis, arcade machines and a huge projector and some super cozy sofas to chill on. The burger joint attached to the bar has some amazing burgers, some of the best in the city. The elevators going up to the rooms are a trip in itself. Try to get a ride to the top in elevator A and a trip in the disco elevator is worth it too. All in all, a very cool and unique hotel, one of the coolest I've ever been too. 5 stars for sure, highly recommended and would definitely come back for a stay.

Very great place, quality-price wise, it is very correct. The theme of each room are fantastic and the view also. There are free fairy to get to the central. The only negative point is that there is no parking like most of Amsterdam…

Suprise trip to Amsterdam from my wife for my birthday and the most perfect weekend. She booked Sir Adam because of my love of music and art and what an amazing hotel! So laid back, such friendly helpful staff and just the coolest and best place we've ever stayed. We spent both our evenings back at Sir Adam, first with live music and the second playing pool! Thanks for making our weekend so special. We wont be leaving it so long this time before returning to Amsterdam and when we do, we know where we'll be staying.

Sir Adam tries hard to be different and it succeeds with the prosecco on arrival, disco elevators and in room vinyl record collection and it's certainly quirky and fun. However, too much quirky and fun can become annoying. Check in took forever as they wanted to share every last detail and the room was actually pretty small. If I was staying in Amsterdam for leisure, Sir Adam would be a great choice (with a bigger room if staying with +1), but business travellers may have to set their 'quirk' tolerance to high to stay here.

Very suitable for tourism residence from the city center, very close to the Central Train Station just taking the ferry to and the ferry is free. The nearby scenery is beautiful, next to it is also one of Amsterdam's famous attractions: the eye Film Institute. But the hotel room I feel a tiny, not particularly spacious, toothbrush toothpaste need to bring your own. Overall very good, five stars.

A nice, hip hotel. The decor is centered around music. It is an incredible atmosphere to relax. The beds are forever comfortable, to the amount that you never want to get out of bed. Each room is equipped with a vinyl record player, a very nice touch. The showers are spacious and very elegant. The commute from central station is simply a short free ferry ride away.

Love this hotel. Service and employees are incredible. The rooms are rock n roll themed and everything is new. Great security features and it's a 3 minute free ferry ride to the heart of Amsterdam. We will use this Hotel when in Amsterdam from now on.
