Yesterday, my family and I enjoyed a lovely Afternoon Tea for my mother’s birthday. After a lot of research, we’ve decided that this was the best place for us to book. But boy, did it exceeded our expectations! The presentation was incredibly creative and the service was impeccable, we were treated like royalty. My mother had the best birthday, and she’s already talking about making this a new tradition for the years to come! Many thanks to the lovely staff at the Peacock alley, you have made our day unforgettable.

Had a chance to admire the public areas of the Waldorf Astoria thanks to the friendly doorman. Indeed a very elegant and in some ways even restrained style. Plenty of room for the guests to move around. Highly reputational restaurant on board (Librije’s Sister). Pleasant bar and beautifully ornamented dining room. Lovely inner gardens with gas fireplaces for a chilly evenings. Overall highly attractive, sure to organize a stay in the low season when prices are more reasonable.

Hotel and staff were excellent. Concierge and bell hops were especially friendly and helpful — booking us several dinners and a private canal cruise for our 15-person party. Breakfast buffet and vault bar are very nice too. Hotel is perfectly located for easy walking to Old Town area or museum district.

Amsterdam has become one of my favorite destinations, not only because of its artistic heritage, beautiful canals and unique architecture but for its exceptional hospitality, and Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam makes the perfect example of how finest service should be. The hotel is located at less than 15 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and you can find very convenient transportation to it or if you prefer to have your own, like in my case, you can easily rent a car. Just be aware that Amsterdam is a city with thousands of bicycle riders so you have to be very careful while you drive. As soon as you arrive to the property you can see and feel the difference in its service, the staff is ready to welcome you with a big smile and prepared to help you with any need that you may have. From open the doors for you, having an umbrella ready to borrow you if it is raining outside or just get water for you, the staff will always be ready to help you. One of the first things that bring your attention is the beautiful Peacock Alley, a lounge located in the heart of the hotel's lobby where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. A place to see and be seen. You can also be treated with an all day assortment of delicate sweets on the centered marble table, of course with their amazing an unique service.

Room service food AWFUL! Its supposed to be a 2 star Michelin restaurant but I can't believe the room service menu is the same. It was really bad. Service at the buffet breakfast, … no-one offered me any hot beverage. I could have eaten the buffet and left with no-one acknowledging me. I even asked if I could get a 4-top table and the girl said let me ask my colleague and never came back to me. I waited and sat my self, helped myself to buffet. (There was an attached dining I could have sat in and no-one pointed out which I noticed the next day). 4 times called to get room service to remove table. But, the rooms are great! View and location spectacular on the canal! Staff very nice.

Some of the best hospitality I have experienced in Europe! The hotel is gorgeous, a historic building with a brand new interior — however it is the friendly staff that really sets this place apart from anything else! If you are in Amsterdam the Waldorf is the only choice!

1 class service as expected. Great suite and a very good location. Relaxing spa treatments and good breakfast (every day room service). Once the Waldorf, always the Waldorf.

A real 5 star hotel. Spent the weekend here for wife's birthday and we had the most memorable time. The hotel is luxurious beyond words and all staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. This is the number 1 hotel in Amsterdam as voted on TripAdvisor and now I can see why. The location and canal views are beautiful and the rooms are modern and elegant. Bare in mind that this a high end hotel but you get what you pay for and you will not be disappointed. Thanks to all at the Waldorf for an amazing time, we will be back.

A very luxurious hotel in the middle of Amsterdam. Very friendly and helpful staff try to make the stay of the guests as pleasant as possible. The rooms are large and modern, the bathroom has huge dimensions. Taxis were always to be found in front of the hotel, although you don't really need them in Amsterdam, except if you want to go to the airport. The only thing that has been taken out on a negative basis is breakfast, as there are far too few seats for the guests to enjoy the opulent breakfast. Guests have to wait for a table in the lobby or in front of the restaurant. This is not permitted in this price range. Nevertheless, the staff tried to rectify this situation as soon as possible. I can still recommend this hotel and would come back.

Fabulous Hotel, was on my bucket list. We were at dinner in the bistro and this was great value for money, great staff, excellent food and a great relax atmosphere, will be back.

It's a perfect hotel in every sense. The location is excellent with the canal view and major attractions are walking distance; excellent service where you have your personal assistant to look after your every needs and to start your day you have an excellent breakfast.

So far the best hotel I've ever stayed at, surpasssing Le Bristol in Paris. Everything was excellent from the staff to the rooms and all the extra touches like personalised room scent options, pillow menu, free bike rental. Highly recommended!

So many claim of having a 5 star all round hotel. But most of them are 5 star for the masses. Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is hospitality at its finest. The small details what count the most!

Definitely the place to stay if one is looking for a 5 star hotel. Not only is this hotel intriguing and absolutely stunning, they pay attention to guest details! They resolve issues quickly and treat you as a 5 star guest. I highly recommend the afternoon tea time and the restaurant. Both the front desk clerks and conceirge were helpful in assisting me plan daily adventures (I recommend the Gasson Diamond vault) as well as dinner. This is indeed a luxury hotel at its best in Amsterdam! They made me feel like I was top priority here in every fashion and detail. Everyone was professional from the doormen, bellmen, customer service, waiters/waitresses, room keepers, and so on. If you're in Amsterdam on business and even personal travel, Waldorf is the place to stay!

The lobby area is very elegant and the check in desk is so relax and stylish!. Even I didnt have the creditcard, they will help you in other way. Perfect! Thank you for the young gentleman at the FO.! It was a warm day and you got ice cold lime water and clean wet towel during the check in. Waldorf is located in the city center so you reach really everywhere within walking distance. The room was a good size, the bed comfortable and clean, small desk area, tea and coffee facilities with beautiful elegant porcelain wares (I really love it! ), the Wi-Fi which was free worked very well. The bathroom was tasteful, separate tub and shower cubicle, plenty of soft clean towels and branded soap gels. All major television channels which was an unexpected bonus. The décor in the bedroom was light and elegant. Breakfast was served on the ground floor with serene garden view, connecting to the door to swimming pool and retreat area, and it was excellent, great choice of cooked items, and so profesional staffs inc. Hannah who was so friendly and helpful and really nice to my son. She even got big big hugs from my son! And the friendly male staff, I got light highfever and he came right away with box of tissue!

This was hands down the best hotel I have ever been to. Not only were the rooms and property stunning with an amazing view of the canal, but the service was impeccable. There was not a single time that I walked into the hotel and wasn't greeted with a "welcome back" by more than one employee as they held the door open for me. Everyone from the door man to the restaurant staff to the concierge was top notch. I hope to have the honor of staying there again in the future. It was an absolute pleasure.

Beautiful hotel on the prestigious Gentleman's canal. Soothing lobby, exceptional staff, great spa, and the Vault bar serves the best bloody mary I've ever had. The gardens are a tranquil oasis after sight-seeing. Was there for anniversary, and they missed no opportunity to make us feel special.

My husband and I stayed 6 wonderful nights in this superb hotel. Composed of 6 beautiful buildings, the hotel is extremely well placed for exploring the city. Within easy walking distance to museums, the central station for accessing trains to explore the surrounding cities and having lots of eateries and a supermarket nearby add to the hotel's plusses. Service at every level was mostly efficient and courteous (there was only the one time when the concierge forgot to make a restaurant reservation resulting in being turned away at the restaurant at dinnertime. It meant that we had to hunt around for an alternative at the last mn). The rooms themselves are beautifully appointed, well lit and clean. Closet space was a bit tight, but otherwise all good. In all, this is hospitality as what it should be.

Hilton Diamond member, and likely my favorite Hilton property in which I have ever stayed. The restaurant and bar are excellent. We never wanted to leave.

The Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The service we received was excellent. Upon check-in, we were offered a hot towel but unlike other luxury hotels we have stayed at no welcome drink. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. A nice touch is the heated floor in the bathroom. The hotel facilities, especially the pool and spa area, were also excellent. The hotel's location makes it a quick walk to all the major sites. The three star review comes from the fact that at the end of the day, I think there are better values. For over €500/night, there was no included breakfast or evening reception. Additionally, loyal Hilton HHonors Gold members shouldn't expect any special treatment outside of a potential room upgrade; a major bummer. If money is no object then definitely stay at this hotel; it really is beautiful! Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Simply outstanding from the beginning, upgraded room, canal view, welcome gift and to top it all of a late check out as well. Can't wait to return soon. ps complimentary bicycle rental was great.

I think nicest hotel at which we've ever stayed. VERY nice setting on Herengracht Canal. 6 canal houses combined to make the hotel. Very refined inside and in the rooms. And the rooms are HUGE, especially for Europe. Large bathroom with super nice separate shower. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and considerate. I was nursing a sore ankle and they brought me a huge, sealed bag of ice every day. Yes, it was about $425/night, but if you can handle that, definitely stay at W-A Amsterdam.

Got a Premier room and it was lovely. The room itself is large! Very high ceiling with modernized amenities. The room is very clean. I also like the decor. It's very pleasing and most photos cannot do this place justice. The services are also great. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Almost everything is top notch, I would gladly stay here again.
