Great place to go and relax with walking trails and pool and steam bath. Very good service from the staff, delicious breakfast and very nice rooms.

Location and facilities are quite complete. Surrounding is gorgeous with small lake. The hotel room itself unfortunately not equipped with airconditioning for summer and no toothbrush amenity.

A place to discover, right in a forest the hotel, beautiful terrace in summer, restaurant a can expensive.

Stayed here on a business trip. Large well set out rooms, very comfortable bed and lovely big bath. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was generally good with the highlight bring the moven (apple and gooseberry) pie. The English descriptions on the menu may not fully explain what you are getting so I recommend you ask. Overall.

Quality of rooms and service is good with a nice ambiance in a beautiful surrounding. The service in bar and restaurant is ok, sometimes average. Maybe I expected a bit more high class.

I had a very nice stay over the weekend. The executive king room was big and had a nice bathroom. I took my dog with me so they put out two bowls for him on a towel. The spa was nice but it does get crowded towards the evening. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room is good and the breakfast is good. The evening meal was very good. In 2016, some of the furniture deserved a refreshment or replacement.

Located in the woods near the city of Venlo, right at the German border, this hotel is quite fancy. Not the big city type of fancy or anything super luxurous, but more so than any other nearby place. The facilities are great and the food is nice, though nothing special. You can relax at the lake, or play a game of tennis at the outside court, but the one thing you should do is take a stroll through the woods and the nearby national park (see photos).

The location is good! We were there in January where it is not so green, but in summer it will be definitely great! The hotel is located in a forest and has a small pond with swans.
The room was OK. A clean bathroom, but a toilet without toilet brush… unfortunately…
We had to get the key from the safe at the front desk.
A very small spa area… unfortunately. A sauna for about 3-4 persons and a steam sauna for about 5 persons. A total of 8 are next to the swimming pool. There was no resting room.
There was also a solarium, a Fintnessraum and room for massages, but we did not take advantage of it, so I cannot rate it.
The restaurant is nicely decorated.
A small menu list. The food we ordered was good though. I had ordered a Apfelshorle, but got another alcoholic beverage, which was then exchanged as well. But the amount was on the bill… I left it as a tip…
And unfortunately we were charged some stuff (Süsdigkeiten, water) from the mini bar, although we didn't use it… On departure, the amount was cancelled.
In summary, our stay was OK, if you take these little things out of consideration:-)
The staff is proficient in a good German Dutch language.
If you want to escape the daily hustle and bustle, this place can be good.
In my opinion, if you want to have wellness, it is not the place where you can really relax.

Nice get-away in lush green surrounded area great for walking cycling and more. Busy good restaurant with big portions. Wellness area small but cozy, could use a re-decoration though. Rooms neat n clean, fluffy beds and isolated from neighbours. Young team as staff. All in all great experience and highly recommended for a nice short vacation.

Very friendly staff. Enough parking in front of the hotel. Nice location at a lake. A bit far from Venlo. 2-3 km to the city. Swimming pool with 30 degrees Celsius water temperature. Sauna und steam bath are nice. Big rooms with very nice bath rooms and comfortable bed. But no heater in bath. Breakfast is average, not superior for four stars. We didn't check the restaurant for dinner.

We have had a lovely stay here and hope to return. The room we were in had the largest balcony we've ever had at a hotel! Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, one of the best breakfast buffets ever, friendly staff…

Great setting for a peaceful WE.

Quite an unusual, but nice, hotel. Location is very nice and the building itself is attractive. My double room was in fact a room with two (comfortable) single beds pushed together but was otherwise clean, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was overall good. My meal was a little bland, but mint companions' were all bet nice, so I can put things down to a one off, the staff are excellent, very attentive and friendly. I was only starting for a single night and so did not have lots of time at the hotel and the grounds, but would be happy to return.

A special experience. Hotel is great, clean, good facilities. Nature around it spectacular. Great for various types of outdoor activities. Only recommendation would be to come with a car. Easier to move around outside Venlo if need be.

Lovely family hotel in Venlo.

We spent a romantic weekend in this Hotel. It was beautiful, just the thing if you want to find to each other. The food and Drink was good, the terrace is located directly on a pond, a beautiful setting for a quiet Breakfast or a nice evening in a nice atmosphere. We will be back. Cleanliness is also 1A.

A very nice place, the beds are very comfortable, facilities very good.

This is a nice hotel which has a unique location by the lake, nothing else but a hotel and swans around you. Breakfast included, some rooms have a porch and some just big. Our room had separated toilet and bathroom — sometimes you do need it when you are a couple. The stuff are really friendly and make your stay really comfortable like home. Comparing to similar hotel we visited in Venlo (Van Der Valk), Bilderberg is much better. I been staying there for a month and it felt like home. They even brought me cookies because I liked them so much (-:

The Hotel is very nice and relaxing. The Internet could be faster. Bar, unfortunately, has not opened for a long time.

Nice place. Great for couples. Very quiet and definitely an example of old Europe.

Absolutely a wonderful hotel with great facilities. The rooms are big and comfortable. The food at the restaurent is ok. It looks very good, but there is to much fine dining over its looks. And the taste and quality of the food can't quite live up to the way it looks. Sometimes less is more.

So far on TV only three German transmitter and the bed was also not special (too soft) but everyone just the way he like

Beautifully located hotel/restaurant. Room with a certain nostalgic charm. Restaurant: pronounced a very dignified great-tasting food with attentive and competent service.
