Nice Hotel and location but staff is incredibly rude and condescending, even for Dutch people. They are not flexible or accommodating to their client's needs at all, and they dismiss you the second you have any other needs. Every single exchange I had with their staff was incredibly unpleasant and, honestly, it completely ruined my stay, to the point where I actually had trouble attending my obligations because of them. Would avoid because of staff!
Also, to check in at Hotel Roermond next, you have to go to Hotel Roermond reception, which is not explained anywhere.
Noteworthy details: Rude and condescending staff! My booking was done through a business partner and upon arrival, I was treated like a thief and insistently asked to pay everything ahead myself, although that was not the arrangement. Had to call the person to explain the situation again to the receptionist. Upon leaving, I had an early business meeting and didn't have time to pack, so I asked for a late check out, where I was met with no leniency at all, although it was 1 extra hour I needed and offered to pay for it. The receptionist told me "instead of staying here talking to me you could go pack your bags", so I had to miss my morning meeting, which was the reason I was there.
Room rates are including breakfast. Even if u don't eat breakfast. U cant also not find a position on the invoice, saying: breakfast. But it is necessary for business trips. Cancellation of the room needs to be done 48 hrs before otherwise you will be fully charged for the room and breakfast and also tourist tax. Even in times with corona. Just to compare: in hotels like Van der Valk, you can cancel your room 2 hrs before checking in. This hotel is not recommended by me.
Food was fabulous and a few drinks x service was excellent.
