The hotel is an f'in maize. We got lost going from reception to our room Dinner was an hour late. Food was excellent however.

Very disappointed, we were booked to stay here in a few days but due to COVID we are unable to travel from Australia. I gave the hotel over 2 months notice we were unable to travel once our airline tickets were cancelled but they still refused a refund. I understand a no refund policy on change of mind but a global pandemic that restricts travel is a bit different.

Excellent meal. Good location just off the highway.

Great stay well looked after.

Who can resist the lure of a Jacuzzi bath, rain maker shower, good coffee machine, balcony with chairs and table, all topped off by a comfy bed and spacious living space… it's perfect.

2nd time staying here, for British Superbike weekend. The staff are very professional and friendly. The café bar has a great ‘pub’ menu and lager, plus wines and spirits. The Apple suite room we had is absolutely amazing. Sex in the jacuzzi literally blew my head off

Perfecte locatie om met de familie te dineren zag er beeldig uit. En het eten was verrukkelijk!

Fijn hotel. De kamers zijn modern en ruim met goede bedden, gratis Wi-Fi en een fatsoenlijke tv. Bij de kamers aan de snelweg kant kan je wat last hebben van het snelweg lawaai.

Goed locatie vlakbij snelweg. Restaurant aanwezig met lekker eten. Kamers mooie uitstraling met goede voorzieningen.

Nice, comfortable, quiet. Good startpoint for bikerides.

The food was good, and a large amount. Also there was plenty of space and even though we did no reserve a seat we could eat instally. The food for Childeren was somewhat limited to French fries and so. They do have a nice playing area for small Childeren in the form of a mini house and a garden. There was however lots of flies inside the seating area what I found very gross. It makes me lose my appetite. The averige food price lunch Is around €10.

Superb hotel just off motorway. This is a conference hotel but catered for business and casual guests too. Breakfast was included with our deal which was superb.

Good bed and shower. Bit expensive food, but good and great service. Lots of things to choose from at breakfast.

Easily accesible from the highway, nicely prepared food, classy atmosphere. Slightly on the expensive side — a lunch dish omelet costs about 10 euro. However, it is served with a smile by customer friendly personnel and tastes good. Since I did not stay over night, I cannot comment on the rooms, but the overal look of the hotel was spacious, clean, tidy and cosy, with warmly coloured furniture and modern fire hearths.

Food was quite clearly factory food on the first day of Christmas. It was also really busy, in the contrary to the normally relaxed atmosphere and good food. So for holidays its a no for me, but ordinary weekdays are fine.

Inside very well decorated, spacious, sense of quality. Friendly, quick, professional, witty staff, Had a light meal with my mother, her soup was fresh and tasty, my club sandwich was too, good portion size, nice plates & presentation. Side order of chips was in inspiring, but my request for lots of mayonaise to dip was quipped with a good size bowl of the stuff, well done, top marks for the student who waited on us. Prices om in relation to producr, very good overall experience.

Great location for professional events. Catering is very good and the staff are friendly. The facilities are well maintained and there is good wheelchair access. I would recommend this location to organisations and individuals.

Such a great place! Every part of the hotel is very stylish and special, starts from rooms, then rest corners, bars and restaurants!

I experienced this hotel several times during my business trips.
The hotel was a given a makeover recently. The bedrooms are comfortable and the meeting rooms well equipped. The food is amazing both at breakfast and lunch buffet and at "à la carte" dinner. I will suggest this accomodation!

This is the best hotel in Assen. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Speaking English here is no problem. I definitely recommend having some of your meals here at the hotel, especially breakfast, but even the bar area is a great place for food. Ask to try the Maalust beer.

You know that you are in a high end hotel with the van der valk. Rooms are five star, the restaurant has been refurbished the food is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel basic but clean and a great location for town access.

Food was very nice, we had oysters and they were really tasty. Good, classy atmosphere and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, today we were at van der Valk in Assen eat. The portions are so small that a second order must actually, in order to have enough. It was also not asked whether we want to lookup. 20 French fries for 4 people I find personally a bit too little. Another side dish were the only detect by the taste of it. There were onions in a weird sauce. We will go in the future, but rather to mc Donalds. Since the price performance ratio is right.

We only came for a buffet. The food was good of quality and taste. A lot of things to choose from.

A very nice Hotel, I can only recommend. If you want to feel comfortable… then book here.

The hotel is positioned near one of the biggest roads of Drenthe, so it's easy to reach. The parking area is very big. We regularly go there to eat, after quite some visits to other restaurants, we've learned that Van Der Valk Assen has one of THE best kitchens of the north of the Netherlands. Also the service is examplary. My wife and me love to go there!

Nice room, GREAT breakfast, the freshly fried egg is a must have!
