On our journey through Mexico, this was the best, most beautiful, and most pleasant place to stay. It is located offside, which I find wonderful, as Tulum is really extremely touristy. (And we had no trouble finding it there, as a big sign on the road makes it aware) As a place to stay, there is a wooden hut (which even has a small kitchen) and also two other small stone houses. These do not have the typical Mexico roofs of palm leaves, but which are made of stone, which is great, as this will find fewer vermin in the way;) the furniture and everything else is of good quality and everything is designed with a lot of love. We spent 3 nights there and Laura, the owner who lives there, met as a heart-loving and affectionate person. Their cooking skills are remarkable and the breakfast, with fresh fruit, fresh gespresstem orange juice and many more was great. There is a small pool and also 4 wonderful, cute baby cats. Just to spend a few more nights here, the trip to Mexico would be worthwhile! It was too bad we couldn't stay any longer.

Wonderful little romanitsches domicile in jungle about 20 min from Tulum. It was not easy to find it, as Google Maps unfortunately did not draw the streets. However, a detailed description of the route can be obtained from the hosts after booking. There are some cenotes in the surrounding area, which are definitely worth a visit.
The two hosts Laura and Michael are simply super friendly and accommodating. The food is really superb and authentic Mexican. In the morning one is gently awakened by a Vögelchor.
If you can't do anything with tourist strongholds, you should definitely take a detour here and let your soul dangle.

This place is absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for a unique home away from home, I highly recommend Escarabajo Rojo! Our gracious host Laura and her family were both welcoming as they were attentive. The hotel is located just 20 minutes away from Tulum and a great location to drive from if you want to see Coba! Guest can comfortably get in and out with their own personal key to the main gate and personal cabin. So it really feel like your own home. They offer guest a continental breakfast complete with juices and teas. But if you want something more hearty you may want to eat in town or I believe for a charge they'll accommodate your needs also. The rooms are attended to everyday. I must say it does get pretty humid as expected but nothing uncomfortable. While we did walk around the area once or twice, I suggest having a bike or a car to get around this area in order to utilize your day better. There are some local eateries and gift shops around the area. But you'll probably have more of a choice in Tulum. I also love and appreciate that she supports local businesses around the area. You'll see some of her pieces around town in local shops, which to me is a special touch. My only critique would be to offer bikes if possible and probably wiping off the sitting area, as they were often wet from the morning mist. But overall for the price and hospitality, Laura and her family truly made our stay that much more memorable. Thank you! Definitely will stay here again!

Came to check in at 10:30pm (check in is supposedly till 11pm according to our confirmation email) and was met with no answer, to knocking or calling. So we were stranded and had to find another hotel after spending over $80 for a room here. If they are going to put hours for check-in in the conformation email they should stick to them, or at least answer the phone.

Beautiful place in the jungle! Concider staying here if you want to relax and/or visit the Coba ruins! Only 20min from Tulum!
