It was a very fun experience!

Very unhappy with my experience. I will break down everything that happened. I read reviews of the rooms not having good sound absorption to help with the loud music that is played every night until 2am. I understand it is a party hostel but this is just ridiculous. I had previously messaged the hostel to request a room as far from the music as possible. Instead I got the room closest, they also said I would be provided with ear plugs and there wasn’t any, so this was a huge …fail. The air conditioning did not work, it was basically a fan, when I complained the front desk they basically brushed me off. The electricity constantly goes out during the day so you’re unable to charge your phone at times. These issues has gotten so bad that I ended up leaving the hostel a few days early to stay at a hotel instead. I discovered after leaving to the airport that I left some stuff at Hostel Che Tulum. So I messaged them on Facebook twice to see if I can pay to have it shipped to me. Someone took the time to read my messages but never sent a reply. I have traveled and stayed at MANY hostels all over the world and this was hands down the worst I have ever been to. Don’t make the same mistake as me. There are much better options nearby!

Great hostel, great location, good drinks, excellent vibes. This was the third time I visited tulum and was my favorite place to stay. The staff is super nice, helpful, and friendly, the rooms are clean and have AC. There are great bars near by, but the party scene at the hostel itself is pretty awesome. Marilina and natasha were super helpful and fun to hang out with. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing atmosphere day & night! I stayed at Che in June and truly loved it. It's a party hostel with a solid chill out balance. The layout is spot on — very open
with a small pool in the middle of it all providing the perfect hangout space. The design really encourages guests to engage and interact. I loved that even with crazy parties at night, the daytime vibe was relaxed, so it was the perfect mix! There were free tours/activities each day and I loved going to Xpu-Ha beac…h with the crew as it was stunning (even more so than the Tulum beach, and without all the seaweed and people) and I would have never known about it otherwise. Definitely worth the further journey. Thanks to Lise for the perfect hidden spot! Bike rental is right at the hostel and plenty to choose from. They also do cheap dinners at night which are really convenient and good for the price. Free breakfast was much appreciated. The Wi-Fi is decent but if you need to make video calls (I was working remotely) head around the corner to the Art Gallery cafe. Staff suggested it and it was perfect for my Wi-Fi needs plus great smoothies & food. The staff & volunteers were super friendly and very helpful with any needs, whether it was travel info, first aid (I cut my foot), or just grabbing me another beer. :) All in all a wonderful experience and definitely recommend!

The best place with the best people. The pizza and bbq nights are the best, the chichentiza tour very good! I recommend it.

Fun party hostel, don't come if you want to sleep early, party goes on until 130 usually then everyone moves to town together.

Cute place to share with people from other countries. Super clean.

The best party hostel in Tulum! Amazing vibe and great staff.

Great pool, great staff, great music, and you really can't go wrong with free breakfast at this price. Wi-Fi is a bit inconsistent and the dark road at night is a bit sketchy (use the main road on the way back home at night) but if you like to meet new people and party with random travellers until the early morning, this is where you want to stay, it's a magnet for people like you. I miss you Tulum! p. S. Head office needs to promote Pedro Giani to CEO.

Excellent environment and location, if you're looking for something modern and juvenile.

A Beautiful place. It has a modern style Lobby pool. The staff is very helpful. There is bicycle rentals. Free tours everyday, and events every night. Food and bar on site. There is quiet space. Really nice and pricey.

Good party hostel, great location — walking distance to the main areas. Staff were very unhelpful most of the time — some trouble with payments of our rooms as they had no record of previous installments. Refill water ran out and they had no alternative. Dorms were adequate, the vibe at the hostel was great, really good for individuals wanting to meet others. Free tours are great, shout out to Alan who did most of these! Breakfast was standard (bread, cereals, boiled eggs, etc) but included which was a plus. Cleaning staff were AMAZING the bathrooms were always impeccable they should be commended for their hard work.

My friend and I stayed at hostel Che Tulum for 2 nights before deciding to find another accommodation. The location of the hostel is on the outskirts of downtown Tulum. While the location is pretty good and the exterior atmosphere is nice, that’s about all it has going for it. When we checked in and every other time at the guest counter, it was packed and it seemed like someone always had an issue with the staff or the hostel. We were placed in a mixed dorm with 6 beds on the third floor. The dorm room was dirty — water everywhere and definitely didn’t look like it got cleaned daily. Also, the room was warm (despite asking repeatedly for it to be cooled down via AC) and there was no Wi-Fi connection in the dorm. On the second day, when we went back to our dorm, there was a mixup and the hostel staff gave away one of our beds. The female staff member also mixed up two other girls beds and had to move one girl out completely. I asked if she could bring up a new set of sheets and pillow cover, and she told me to get it myself. Also, she didn’t have the sheet changed on the bed that she kicked the girl that was there out of… Side note — for those of you allergic to cats, there is one on the premises. And there seems to be more mosquitos at Che Tulum than other places in town.

Incredible. Best hostel among those I tried during my stay in Mexico! Everything is beautiful, exterior as well as interiors; and yet it is part of the cheapest! Breakfast is plentiful with lots of choices, fruits, eggs, cereals, etc. There are hammocks in the outdoor areas, a very clean and pretty little pool. The rooms are large and very clean. The showers are spacious. The evenings are great, there are often themed meals with unlimited buffet and cocktails and beers are not expensive, especially since from 9:00 to 9:30 all the long drinks are free for girls!
Perfect location also, 30 minutes by bike from Gran Cenote and 10 minutes by bike from the beach. The staff who work there (young travelers like us) are really nice, and there are excursions organized every day.

Excellent atmosphere. You can be quite quiet in the afternoon enjoying the pool with a nice cold beer. At night, the charcoal-ready dinner makes the night party start very hard. And what to say about the party. Che has the best start of the night with varied cocktails and every now and then they are shooting free shots for the people. We were fascinated with the staff. The attention and services of the hostel. Always ready and to order. We took a family ahead and felt at home at all times.

Staff was friendly and good. Their themed dinner nights are awesome and good value. Bed was large, can fit 2 people, it’s been proven by the beds around me in a Mixed dorm. Toilets could have hooks to hang out clothes and towels. Floors were constantly wet because they had no floor mats and the fan didn’t work. The airconditioning didn’t work well either because funnily my room mates opened the windows? Perhaps not a fault of the hostel, just the room mates. Check in time is strictly at 3pm. And at 3, they made me wait 10 minutes because they’re changing shift and quite a number of people were also waiting to check in. They were not at full capacity so they could have checked in some of us earlier. Pool was nice! Location was in the town and close to bicycle shops and convenience store.

I went back 3 times to this hostel, that's not a little saying! The atmosphere is amazing and the free day tours allow us to easily connect with other travelers. Great for those who travel alone or wish to meet other travelers.

Amazing staff, very friendly athmosfere. The pool saves the day when you want to rest for while. You only have to beaware that the party goes till late in the night. So you are not going early to bed. Which it is not necessarily a problem.

Cool party hostel on Tulum. Great young environment for meeting new people from all over the world. Small pool with DJ most nights and great lighting community meals and events.

This hostel is a great place to meet people and get to know the town (for its location). I recommend staying in the upper level, due to the loud music. But inside the room it is all very quiet. The breakfast is nice and people tend to be overly nice with each other in that place. This ia a professionally run business, and I appreciate staying here. I didn´t like the induction plates in the kitchen (prefer gas), the bouncer in the night and the very loud music. Still, I would recommend this place.

Hostel has nice common areas, ideal to party and meet people. However, the windows from the rooms located on the ground floor didn't lock. Someone got inside, in the middle of the night, while everybody was sleeping and took cameras, money, sunglasses, credit cards… Not the safest place!

Insufficient booking system. I booked one reservation, one night in a mixed dorm and two in the female dorm, they only had mixed available. Witnessed others who had booked online and when they showed up their reservation wasn't in the system and there were no more beds. My final night in the mixed dorm I was in there alone and a male employee came barging in at 2 in the morning. He then proceeded to sleep in the bed next to mine without a word… He continued to leave the room every hour until 8 am. Will not be staying there again. They need a lesson on professionalism and need to fix their booking system!

AMAZING atmosphere, cool bartenders. No AC til night, bring your own towels. Very lax during day but you can party at night if you want (or not). Spent a week there, best hostel in Yucatan.

As far as hostels go, this place is pretty dope. Staff is super friendly and helpful (and bilingual) and the atmosphere is nice. Stayed in one of the dorm style rooms with 7 other people and the room had A/C, a nice bathroom, and was very clean. They have a pool which is somewhat rare for a hostel like this one, and even though it is very shallow and small, it was great for cooling off on a hot day. The hostel has some sort of theme night every night of the week, with great live music and awesome food made in house right in front of you on the big charcoal grill. Drink prices at the bar are very cheap. For the price, this place is an absolute steal. Came expecting simply a bed to sleep in and a roof over my head and got much, much more. Highly recommend for travelers.
