We have everything we need with a smiling staff that has every need covered before you know you even need it.

Great service and plenty of sunbeds at no cost.

The Wi-Fi in this hotel is horrible, they only have internet at the reception and with that they intend to give to all the rooms.
The reception staff is a headache but the restaurant staff if you are very friendly.
I didn't like this hotel.

Pleasant stay in front of the sea. Beautiful garden. Good value for money. A small detail that bothers: the towels are worn, it's time to change them.

Excellent location and staff but the room was simple, old towels, no TV and the bed don't be good for rest. No pool and any amenity.

The place was really nice! My boyfriend and I didn’t have any problems until the day before we left the hotel when they came in to clean they moved all our clothes and $800 dollars were missing from my boyfriend shorts and everything was out of place. All they said it was that they were not responsible that we had the safe key and we did wrong by not putting the money in it and they never told us about what the cleaning personal said, and it’s been 2 weeks since I left and haven’t gotten back to us by the report we did, they only said they were going to investigate the employee.

The hotel has a good location. The breakfast was very good. Very quiet, ideal to go with family. I'd definitely come back.

The hotel is small but comfortable, the employees are very friendly, the Internet does not work in the rooms, my sea front room was spectacular and although the sea was full of zargaso we were able to enjoy the view and take advantage of the jaccuzi of the room to the air Free! Liliana Fuentes the receptionist was a love of person always!

It is a decent budget beach front hotel. Rooms are nothing special but clean and with the basics. They have some staff, who are nice people, but don't expect any pampering. I did not expect anything more than what I got, and I am content with the money I paid for the location, which is GREAT. The only glitch was that the advertise Wi-Fi and although they have it, it is useless, too slow and buggy.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the service was excellent.
The breakfast options are very limited, the bar closes very early at 19:00 and not the possibility to enjoy some drinks by the beach after that time, as it is forbidden to enter drinks and food to the hotel.

The rooms are clean and spacious. They all have a patio or balcony. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast gives the option of eggs, pancakes, toast, porridge or fruit. Huevos mexicanos are nice, but rancheros huevos isn't included. If you order eggs it comes with some toast. And you csnnchoose how you want the eggs cooked. The cocktails are very reasonably priced and the hotel has it's own small section on the beach so you can relax after a hard day's exploring lying on a sun loungers and wnjotien a drink. The bar closes around 6.30pm (18.30). Javier in particular was an amazing waiter and affable host. As always in Mexico it's courtesy to tip the waiting and housekeeping staff.

Hello, do not be fooled with the reservations through the web, I did and aboné, a reservation four months in advance and with 12 days to my trip canceled without logical explanations. It IS NOT RECOMMENDED, do not demonstrate seriousness.

Excellent location and price accessible but no pool and no activities I think k to go with family is not a good option and less if you go with kids if you go on a relaxing plan only with adults this excellent and it is better to book directly because you include breakfast and another. Form does not include anything.

Stay at this hotel if u do not want hot water in our 4 days stay, no Wi-Fi in your room, no TV service, bad customer service at the front desk (especiall from a rude woman called Elisa who told me to get my invoice myself) and no maid cleaning service. No phone in the room. Ocean view was terrible, a bit of ocean, the rest of threes. Only good service was at the restaurant but they didn't make u anything that wasn't on the menu. The restaurant was late opening up also. Day one, there was no food available at the supposed restaurant opening time. Day two, no ingredients to cook eggs … And that was good service for the restaurant.

It was not the first time in this hotel. Sure 3zvezdy! Unfortunately I can not put the above. The rooms are bright but require renovation. From the pleasant-the first coastline and their sunbeds on the beach. There is breakfast. Located near 5avenju, but quiet enough. Yes, I recommend this hotel.

There was no hot or warm water in room 303. We warned of the claim then left Acentado but we continue with the same problem. There was not a day Q we can ducharnis with warm water. From the bobbin of the restroom sallia a very finite stream of water so it was nuy difficult to use the water. We ordered bottles of water to be able to wash our face and hands and they told us Q were only two of courtesy when we entered the hotel. The valets only serve you well if you tip. I asked for breakfast coffee with milk and my partner too, so we brought only a little milk Q and told us that measure Q was only for half a cup of coffee, we had Q share between the two cups, my child only takes you, is 7 years and does not drink coffee, there was the last day, we had to go out and buy the child's breakfast. We also had Q go to claim soap and q the person who cleaned Q did not leave us in the room and also had Q leave him a tip. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice place in architecture Greek style, simple and without luxuries or technology (no TV and Internet only in lobby and restaurant) with beach but this season with a lot of zargazo so you can not enjoy.

Good service and what I liked the most is the location, that area of Playa del Carmen is the best, would go back again and again.

This rental was the poorest that I have experienced in my 12 years of visits to Mexico. No elevator… No TV… No coffee maker… Towels old and tired… Ditto beach loungers… Free breakfast was barely edible… my first day omelete was filled with almost raw bacon… I transferred to plain the next day, w/bacon on the side but it still came raw… switched to eggs and sausage the next day… the sausage was two salty wieners — — YUK! Location was the only good thing, but at $ 150 bucks per night. Way over rated. Oh yes… almost forgot… furniture very scarce… had to sit on bed and use my computer on a low level coffee table.

I liked nice facilities although for families with children does not have pool and some rooms do not have t. V. If you're honeymooning it's perfect. The breakfast was very good.

The hotel is well located in the center of the life of Playa, however, it is the classic hotel by sea so very simple in the furnishings. The cleanliness is decent, while the breakfast is not that great. On the other hand the staff are very friendly and helpful. As far as the beach I didn't have a good impression but, in fact, I didn't really like the waterfront in Playa.

It will remain my favorite place to stay, this is the second time I came to this hotel and the deal is cordial, the room is excellent, the sea view, the cleanliness and the location is the best, thank you Pelican Inn.

If you love a true Beachside Boutique Mexican Hotel Then you will be happy. The rooms are big the beds are small the hot and cold water work great. There's a bar right on the beach and a ton of beach chairs right at your back door. This is not one of his new and trendy at hotels where everything is meticulously kept. If you like an all-inclusive where you don't leave the property and don't get a feel for the city this is probably not the hotel for you. But we love this. We felt that the housekeeping staff was hospitable and the rooms were cleaned well.

The hotel is clean and is on the edge of the beach, it's the best you have.
No TV and no Wifi, the room is good size, I think for the price you can get something of better quality.

Nice Hotel on the edge of the water. Staff available and helpful. Rooms simple but large, clean, bright. Good bedding. Light noise from the generator of the nearby hotel. Terrace in front of each room. Very nice.

1 — Excellent location and cleanliness 2 — very attentive reception staff. The rest of the staff lacks the courtesy we find in hotels in other parts of the World 3 — breakfast has very few options and no variations, very different from what we are used to frequent flyers. The staff is very rude, with very poor presentation and demanding tips, we could say, in almost extorsiva form.
4 — Excellent price-quality ratio.

It was all right until the penultimate day of my stay I realized that no longer was the toothpaste I had just bought two days ago and I wanted to replenish. I later returned from my vacation and realized that they also grabbed my glasses case. Unfortunate situation.

Room even the beds with wet sheets! We had to ask us to change them! Housekeeping was made 1 day Yes and 10 No! Towels were always missing! My breakfast Better make it to a bar! Presumptuous and never smiling staff! Strongly discouraged!

It's very central, it has beach and they give breakfast. The rooms are not luxurious but you have what you need. A very good option to be near the 5th Avenue.

The hotel staff was very friendly, the place Perfect … the room was not so cozy and smells of moisture.

The hotel is quaint and clean. It is conveniently located in the heart of Playa Del Carmen and is just a stones throw from Coco Bongo. The service was good. My only disappointment was not finding a TV as shown on the website.

If you are ok to deal with poor countries problems like no WI-FI In a rooms, complimentary breakfast was at the minimum and even that wasn't prepered good. Plugged toilet, water on the floor, little Gecko on the wall and annoying tip reminders that starts with your included breakfast. Personnel tries to help but communication is very limited and it takes long time to solve these little issues. So four stars are for nice view a big room with TV and small refrigerator and nice personnel.

Rooms are very neat and spacy but overall, the hotel is overpriced and the staff is a bit annoying about tips. Wifi is useless.

I liked the location, the staff was very nice, but there was always water in the shower (it didn't go down the drain), the cleanness of the bathroom could be better, and the bed was very shaky. The gym was actually just one treadmill and two benches.

Located on the beach and with a quiet location I am very lucky to have stayed at this hotel the rate is not high for the area and the staff is very nice and kind… Food is good and the location is excellent. This is the 2nd time staying here and yes ill be baxk for a 3rd time.

Very good location. Attentive reception staff. Staff (breakfast) unattentive and ill-prepared. Breakfast from regular down. As a TV we had a 14 inch monitor, which also never worked. Very bad the staff of the confectionery.

No frills, no fuss. Perfect. Room was clean, comfy and the view of the water divine. Bloody Mary's at the bar were awesome. Bring your own wash cloths. Lol.

Abominable smell in the room, mold on the wall of the bathroom, water that does not evacuate in the shower, door that one struggles to open … There is only direct access to the beach which is good. And again … The beach is rocky and full of algae!

Great place friendly staff but somethimes music HEAVY METALL is much to loud special atbreakfast time! Breakfast is very low and some waiter very Slow. Gabriel ist the best of all very friendly and good manners.
Pablo the Security is such a amazing person allways smile we miss him. I will come again with my groups but please improve breakfast. SMAHL pool inside woulde be great too its space enough rooms are not very new but still okay very simple but clean. AMAZING LOCATION thats why price is a little up. My wife and I stayed at the Pelícano hotel for 2 nights and it was awesome. We had great customer service. Adrian at the front desk was super helpful and very nice. We loved the ocean view and beach side experience and the classic look of the hotel. It was worth every penny. Also it was close to the strip, a walking distance to nearby restaurants and bars, and stores. I love it and we're definitely going back very soon!

Travelling with a child is always difficult, so from morning to night we decided to stop at this hotel in Playa del Carmen for 3 nights. It was absolutely a very apt idea! Despite the entry into the water is not completely sand, our experience was fantastic! Cheyenne greeted us at the front desk with a smile on her face and answered all of our questions, as well as recommending the beautiful tour of Chichen Itza. The staff in the restaurant and the girls who made the rooms were polite and polite.

This property has so much potential — — Great Location, nice exterior, and a great staff, but if I were to say that the rooms were in need of updating, I would be being generous. For the most part, the rooms were clean, but the rooms were very poorly painted with paint all over the tile edges and the mirror in the bathroom. We were in two rooms while we stayed there and the tiles in both rooms were chipped, broken or missing. The reason we were in two rooms, was because the stonework on the sink counter in the bathroom fell of and shattered on the floor. The beds were worn out and the pillows were rock hard. On the other hand, the front desk staff was very helpful, the waiters in the beach restaurants were great and the security guard was also very helpful and friendly — — the maids have a big challenge to make the rooms as comfortable as they are with what they have to work with. The food that we had was great. So, my 3 star rating comes from a 1 for the poor condition of the rooms and a 5 for the staff.

A great hotel, everything you need is there. Great garden, close to the beach, good food, nice people en not to expensive. We've been here now two times en if we decide to go again to Palya del Carmen, it will be definetily our choice to stay again.

We didn't stay at the Hotel, but we ate dinner in the restaurant on the beach two nights in a row. The best fish I have ever eaten! awesome food.
