Great spacious suite for the price. We paid about $90.00 CAD per night all in which was very reasonable. All of the staff were helpful although they varied in their understanding of English. Kitchen is decent — microwave and hotplate with full fridge. Can make basic meals — shopping nearby. There is a small pull out couch and decent sized table if you were there with two younger children and wanted to play games or watch a movie on your laptop. Do not count on watching any TV. As others have noted the beds are hard. If you are not used to this you can do what we did — bought a king sized foam overlay at Walmart (against one of the side walls) for $28.00 CAD/$399 Pecos which greatly improved the bed. Added $4.00 a night to a week stay. Also as noted the Highway is noisy — but in the bedroom at night with the door closed the noise is barely heard — especially if you have the A/C running. Breakfast was decent and the pool/garden area is well-kept and relaxing. All of the suites have an entrance that faces the highway but the backside of the suite has sliding doors with balcony facing the pool/garden off the living room area and bedroom. The balconies also face the ocean and you can see some of the famous rock formations San Cabo. Beach access from morning until 6:00 pm is 5 minutes away though the Rui Hotel which is between the El Ameyal and the beach. We rented a car so I cannot comment on the bus or taxi service but we saw the local bus drive by frequently and taxi to the town center was 270 pecos. We were out everyday so we were not using it as a place to spend our days. It is not a beachfront hotel for those who like to spend most of their time at the beach or pool close to their room. However, as a comfortable place to make some of our meals, to organize for the next days adventure and to sleep it was great. We would stay there again.
