Before covid-19 I frequent this hotel, but after 1 incident at this hotel we realised this is the worst hotel to stay at. The facilities are not well kept resulting in my family member being injured at this hotel. The glass shower panel exploded and injured my sister who was about to take a shower. She now suffers from PTSD as a result of this incident. I was promised an incident report which was to be sent to my email and it has been 6-7 months and they have remained completely silent as though nothing happened. They said they would reimburse us for Medical bills incurred as a result of this incident, radio silence from them too. We were also told that they would refund us the cost of the stay, and that too did not happen. Avoid this hotel at all costs! Its for your own safety.

Bad service ever! Front desk service was superb poor, not only poor, was superb poor. They are not treated every customer as equal! Not friendly and not helpful at all! Luggage not send to room after half an hour! Called to operator, the girl still ok, called to front desk, the fella answered call was super rude.

We had a good and enjoyed our stay at The Pines Hotel. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They always greeting and smiling to us. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. Recommended and will come back again!

Great service with personal touch. We arrived earlier than the book in time and the receptionist was very kind to let us have our rooms earlier Xoz one of my kids wasn’t feeling well. Two thumbs up. Nice view of parts of Melaka ; rooms are bigger and the swimming pool caters for both children and adults.

I stayed in Pines hotel for more than 2 months due to my office requirements from Dec 2015 till Mar 2016. It was simply an amazing experience, everything was managed so professionally from Breakfast Buffet to room service. The hotel management also took a farewell picture of me and my colleague.

Great value for money. Each room is almost like a small suite and tastefully decorated with beautiful artwork on Chinese pottery. And the view of both sunrise and sunset… just amazing!

Dusty rooms. Key cards not working, eventually got to our room.
Food was the worst I’ve had, after ordering several times as they did not have food on the menu. We waited over an hour for our good to arrive and it was stone cold. Went straight to reception for this to be noted, was told I’d get a call but did not. Second night revived a phone call at 10pm to ask if we were staying as the room needed maintenance the following day, woke up my child. On checking out they wanted to to pay for breakfast that was already in my paid package.
Did not want to pay for meal but they insisted. Would not recommend and will not be back.

This hotel is unique in nature. I'm able to see the river cruise from my hotel room. Room is clean and well kept. The staff counter is very pleasant.

We had difficulties with our booking. Fortunately the hotels manager help us out. This’s our 3rd time stays in the hotel. Really recommended. The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean. Breakfast as usual lots of options and we really enjoyed our stays. Definitely will come back Thank you Mr. Mizan.

Lousy, worst, terrible, horrible service can’t even get rooms by 5pm. Although v hv already make reservation. Whole bus of us (30pax) feel very bad with d management of tis hotel.

Hotel was clean and nice. Morning breakfast at The Oaks was good. Spacious room. There is a nice halal eating place named Asam Pedas Power, which is just 5min walk from the hotel. I strongly recommend a stay here.

Went to The Oak yesterday for the buffet tunch with a group of 11 adults and two babies. Booking initially made for a group of 10 adults. Baby chair was provided upon request
.
However, the request to add another table was denied twice and was only provided at 3rd request. Staff were only willing to give extra chair stating that other tables were booked. Does the Oak rather lose 11 potential repeat customers instead of accommodating an extra table as parents with babies have bags/stroller and needs more space?

Our Executive Room (with balcony) was smaller than expected but it was comfortable. Location is not too bad but food places are not too variable around the area. Love the salt-water pool. Looking forward to staying there again.

All the staff very friendly and helpful… rooms very clean n spacious… bed and pillow so comfortable… awesome foods… I love the swimming pool.

The place is very clean and it has a luxury feel to it. It has nice views and a large swimming pool. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable to sleep in. The main city area around the Malacca River is just a 25-min walk from here. There is also an amazing cake shop, Nadeje Cake Shop just across the street. The breakfast was acceptable but I didn't really like it that much.

It's a surprise, hence a star extra. The hotel is slightly further from the city centre. Nonetheless, its only less then 15minutrs drive. Walking along the river easily can bring you to the city centre in about 30minutes. It's not a difficult walk. The hotel has a unique swimming pool which allover a few pool side room assess it direct from their room. The swimming pool is only operating from 7am to 7pm. This is slightly early to close the swimming pool service. The gym room also is small…

Room is spacious and everything are ok. We have been allocated for room facing Melaka river, nice view from room. Good staff service except for the breakfast time where the queue for having breakfast was very long and after waited sometime, we decided to go out to Melaka town to have breakfast. Perhaps the hotel can look into the solution by grouping the guest by tour group to a ballroom for breakfast as we noted the a big portion of guests are from tour group.

Overall the hotel have a nice feel to it. Staff were friendly, service was Ok. Pool is huge and great, 1 kitty pool, 1 1.2m pool. The rooms were not what I expected it to be but was pretty decent. Only down side was due to the fully booked weekend, we had to queue to get in the breakfast area. Breakfast spread didn't have an allocated egg station which was odd.

We quite satisfied with our room n stay~ the staff there was very friendly and sevice very good. They upgraded our room and gave us link room. The hotel was clean, room very big and comfortable. Worth of value~

Very good location. Room amenities are okay, staff is fairly friendly. Nothing much to complain about other than the tiles in the room were still wet after room cleaning.

Only visited the Oak restaurant for High Tea. Very good choice of food, unfortunately the restaurant is not so good in keeping food warm. Except when you arrive at noon when all food are served at one time fresh from kitchen. We arrive at 12:30, the satay is cold (hence tough meat), otak stuck to leaves for the same reason, only noodles cooked there and then were nicely hot.

Nice clean room, compact gym, sufficient swimming pool, good food. Good safe location. Near Jonker street if you want to buy souvenirs and stuff. Near the river for boat ride.

It was almost nice stay for us. A room and facilities are new and clean. The water pool is large and with 2 small and shallow areas for children. They provide bath towels. Since outside was around 36 °C, it was nice chill out for us. Breakfast was almost nice, but not that jaw dropping taste. So so but acceptable enough. I remove one star because a room cleanup was not done once, and we had to wait for that to be done 30 min at the lobby. In addition, someone was smoking in another room and opening a door. So entire of floor had been stinky by the smoke. We had to tell this twice to fix the situation. One more thing to mention, the rental bicycle service was not available by maintenance. If they need maintenance, it should be go half by half, I think. The hotel location is not best but still OK for us. We use Grab, and even by walk, it was not so far to Jonker street for us. We got some negative experiences, however overall, we were satisfied by the stay.

"Clean Room and Comfortable”
I stayed at the Pool Suite (Connecting Rooms) on 4-6May18 (Fri-Sun) and I feel welcomed. Friendly Staff and free parking using the room access card (On Site Multi Level Covered Car Park). Buffet Breakfast selection are very good. Around 5mins drive to shopping malls like Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. 7Eleven is around the corner and I love the Burger opposite 7Eleven. Love the Air Conditioning and the Ceiling Fan at the balcony with direct access to the pool (Salt Water). Since I like to sit and do my makeup in front of the mirror, would like to suggest to place a chair in the room (I don't fancy taking the rattan chair from the balcony). Anyway, I love the place and would definitely come back again.

We traveling here to attend my best friend's wedding dinner held at The Pines Melaka. Location of the dinner buffet style was at the Pool Side roof top, such a fantastic view and scenery across the night sky, river and lights from the streets. I personally went to the pool for a swim, it's a beautiful scene during the day and very relaxing. Night market and shopping malls are can be reached nearby for food and drinks. Rooms are HUGE! Really modern and clean interior. Affordable price for the kind of space. Overall a nice experience to stay in Melaka. Will recommend.

The poolsuite rooms are a MUST stay to have a really fun experience with your family. We booked 3 rooms, and the hotel had diligently put us next to each other. Family time is fun time!

Hotels are basically based on the design concept of light industry. Very stylish and modern design, the overall environment is very good.
The swimming pool has a beautiful view and you can also see the Malacca River next to it.
This hotel has a special room type is the hotel room type has the private swimming pool, the room has a balcony, the balcony front has the wooden curtain door, opens the front is the swimming pool. I live in Executive Premier King room, which lives on the 27 floor, the rooms are spacious, with large bathtubs, toilets are floor-to-ceiling windows, very romantic for couples to live in, but the toilet sewer water is slow, a little clogged. From the room you can see the beauty of the city of Malacca and the distant Straits of Malacca.
Unfortunately, all the glass windows can't be opened. Breakfast at this hotel is very rich, in addition to the basic Chinese and Western food, there are local cuisine such as Indian pancakes, coconut milk rice, do their own hot fish round noodles. Another surprise is that there are many authentic pastries such as butter cake, banana cake, otak, nyonya cake, coconut sauce, and so on are the breakfast of the Tao.
There are two shelves with small snacks, are people love to eat small fish cake, cassava cake, mango dried and so on.

Hotel is no doubt large but there's still room for improvement. do note that the period of visit is within festive season so the hotel is quite full and the staffs were constantly on their feet. for starters, the rooms weren't cleaned properly. The drawers by the bedside and the drawers by the TV is covered with dust. the fridge is empty as well, and there wasn't any cutleries provided. toilet is clean, but the towels provided had dark spots as if it fell on the floor or someone stepped on it accidentally. there's plenty of facilities available such as gym, salt water swimming pool, cafe, etc. you can even order McDonald's from the concierge and they'll send it up to you. staff is quite friendly but I've seen better. overall the stay was okay. It's a very good place to stay with strategic location (7eleven is right in front, and the river is a short walk away) but there's definitely room for improvement.

The room we stayed in had two single beds, and a sofa bed so it's more than enough for a family of four. If you don't mind sleeping on the floor, the room can accommodate even more than that. Just remember to bring your own sleeping bag or tilam. The layout of the room is kinda like an apartment with specific areas designated for the kitchen (sink + dining area), living area (sofabed + table) and bedroom (separated from the living area with a divider).

Hard equipment can also be, but the quality of service has room for improvement. For example, the bed linen stains and please the counter to take towels (room only large bath towel) Contact three times are not moving, finally have to forget, because angry with him but bad travel mood.

Within walking distance to The Shore. Room is big, clean and new. Wifi is weak though. Breakfast is decent but they didn't change the menu daily so it gets boring after awhile. Toilets are smaller than it should be. There's tons of space in the room which could have been used for expanding the toilet.

I had staying in this hotel last weekend for 2 nights. A nice, comfortable and clean room. Service really good. Environment and located at a good and convenient location to get to the hotspot and places for dinner, shopping.

The room is so spacious. The superior king room can fit the whole family (six people) and still comfy. The staffs are very friendly. The breakfast just perfect for me! The pool is sooooo cold because of the wind ☁. But the view is worth it! Trust me. Never hesitate for staying here. Never! To me. Its perfect.

Have a great time with family… The staff were very friendly and it have a salt water pool which is very good. The building were in great conditions and the Wi-Fi were very fast. Definitely going to stay here again.

Loved this place. Had a most memorable stay with the family. Great place for a vacation with family. The swimming pool was a blast for the children with large — sized pool for the kids and a separate one for adults. The saltwater feature was a surprise and definitely a bonus. For sure will return on my next trip to Melaka.

The only highlights of this hotel is the saltwater pool. Great if you book the poolside suites where u have all day access to the pool. Rates a bit on the high side so if pool is not your thing, there are better options elsewhere. Executive floor rooms and suites have no exclusive benefits or privilege. Room service menu is of good value though.

The pool is superb. They use salt instead of chlorine. So no red eye or sticky hair after the bath. The location is well located between place-u-must-visit and you-need-to-try-the-menu-here.

Spacious bedroom. Good food. Good hotel short trip but not a suitable for training. No space, training hall separate with hotel tower… we had bad experince with the sales team.

View good, facility good, but soundproof was not good.

Poolside 7th floor. Friendly and helpful staff. Needed quite few calls for the hotel to fix broken things like pool door and safe. It was fixed promptly. Big breakfast with Malaysia, Chinese, Indian and Continental. Pool outside the door was very popular with the kids.

I stayed a night in this hotel and really like it, the room is huge with sleeping area, dining area, sofa area, similar to apartment setup without a kitchen — Beds are comfortable — Sofa bed can accommodate additional guest — Solid hot water pressure 2. Walking distance to heritage 3. What needs to be improved? The coffee during breakfast. Tasteless.

Had Hi tea on eve of Christmas with family and senior citizens. Good spread of food and desserts — local and western. The place is 2 years old but still looks new. Car park is adequate. Weekend rate is rm10 flat. U can get a full rebate on car park if you dine there. A word of thanks to En Amran who served us as he was polite and accommodating. Overall good ambience and no loud music to annoy you having your food or have a conversation without being drowned out by loud patrons.

It is a great place to stay while in Melaka, the room was spacious and clean. The interior design was modern yet keeping a bit of yesterday's ambience. The morning breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. We like it here, and definitely will come back. Only I was surprised that the swimming pool water was salt water! Not complaining though. The staff were all friendly and efficient.

Nice hotel with warm service at the concierge, huge room but nice & simple room interior but comfortable bed and sofa. Big TV, BIG windows giving superb view of Melaka Strait. Small swimming pool but under shed with infinity feel. Really value for money. Shall stay more often before it gets old.

Let me start by saying this has to be one of the better hotels I have stayed in Melaka. We booked the Family Suites which comes with 2 bedrooms, 2 washrooms, a living hall and kitchen. The rooms on the 26th floor are the only ones with 2 balconies and had a fantastic view of Melaka town and also see all the way to the sea. Such spectacular views. The rooms were also reasonably priced and very close to the Melaka river cruise and walking distance to The Shore shopping center. Check-in process was a breeze. The check-in staff were extremely friendly and helped us with all our request as well as taking their time to explain about the hotel and facilities. We were even offered to "upgrade" the rooms to the pool side rooms but declined since we needed the suite which was more accommodating for our daughter. It was my wife birthday as well (which was the reason why we traveled to Melaka), and the hotel left a very nice surprise on our beds at night. Kudos for the effort taken :) The rooms itself was clean and spacious. The kitchenette was not as well equipped as some other service apartment" type hotels, but it was suitable for our use (didn't intend to do any cooking anyway — — — it's Melaka, time for food fest in town). The bathroom hot and cold water logo are quite creative. Balcony was extremely useful for having drinks while enjoying the night view.

Good, bedroom clean maintenance good toilet clean, but swimmingpool a bit too smalll.

New, comfortable and huge rooms, and choose the poolside room for wow-ing the kids. Toilet was small is size, but adequate. Staff was friendly and help. Only gripe was noticed that a pool of melted ice-cream near the lifts was not cleaned even after two days. Other than that, superb all around.

Room is big and the staff attitude is wonderful. Worth every penny spend here…

Arrived at 3.40pm and the room wasn't ready to check in. It took us more than 20mins to check in. Very poor service.

Have stayed in other 5 star & 4 star hotels around Malacca. However this beats the best so far. We stayed here for only 1 night from 15th August — 16th August, the kids wants to be here again and no more to the regular hotel we've stayed. We will be back soon. PRO : 1) Spacious Room : you pay for a Deluxe Room but you get a Studio Suite Room with a large window panel which includes a small pantry with a dining table for 2, a small living hall which comes with a queen sofa bed and a bed room with a king size bed. Therefore you may not need to request an additional bed for your child. The size of the room wins all the other deluxe room hotels in Malacca which is about 46sqt. Since the hotel is still new, the room is super clean and new! 2) Toilet : Although its a bit small, there is no complaints when you get a high pressure water during shower. Nicely arrangements of the amenities and very clean toilet with no stains, perfect selection of the hair dryer and thick towels! Superb. 3) Great Idea on the room key switch as a parking pass to get in and out of the hotel. You do not need to validate your parking ticket each time you need to go out of the hotel. Keep your parking ticket till your last day and you just need to validate it once you are leaving the hotel. Use your room key at as a car pass. Perfect! 4) Food : Restaurants just opposite the hotel which is convenience, I recommend the The Tarik Place. Nice The Tarik!
