They have 2 places. I didn’t know it until they take me to the other place (because I booked for female dormitory). But, that’s okay. It’s not too far. Only 2 minutes walk. The place is pretty quiet. The 1st floor is only for me. Nobody is here. Only 1 room for 4 people. But, they have a bathroom inside the room. So, that’s awesome. Just don’t like the toilet. Also, they have it outside the room. Near to the tourist attractions. Walk about 5 minutes you will find all the tourist attractions. They also rent a bicycle (I don’t know how much, I don’t rent it because I think I don’t need it). Clean room, Wi-Fi is great, shared kitchen is okay.

This is a cheap, decently spacious and located close to city centre. They have rooms as well as dormitory which can be booked online or offline. Along with that, they provide Wi-Fi and a common computer for internet access. The only problem we faced was mosquitoes (very low in number, but still). The beds are okay if you're looking just a place to sleep peacefully.

Long stay travellers love this place. You can rent bicycle and explore the city at your own pace at a budget. Make friends with guests around the world. If you are a group traveller and don't mind having to share a common toilet /shower, then this place is suitable for you. Relatively safe, never heard of break in or theft in this place. Everyone looks out for each other.

Fully unprofessional, Greedy. I have Booked in Advance for Chinese New Year also consult and inform when in coming, but when I reach at Guest House the owner was not there and also not Picking up a call. He has given my Booking to someone else for more price. Very Very Unethical & Unprofessiona. My Advice is go for Residence. More Clean and More Professional.

I have something to say about some of the other reviews talking about the staff asking for money, or not refunding money for key deposits. My experience here was very, very bad. I had paid for 1 week stay here, and after that the Bangladeshi staff tried to defraud me of my money, claiming I had damaged property. The staff then became offensive. Because of the way this happened, I seriously doubt the owner had any part in it or would have allowed it: I think it was an idea of these two Bangladeshi staff — just like other reviews state. Now, once I got in touch with the owner, the staff of course told a story that was a heap of lies to cover themselves. However, what they don't know is that I have a hidden camera, and the ENTIRE thing is recorded. In fact, the staff was yelling, and one was pounding his chest like some mini-macho (he is a really little man with a lot of anger! ) trying to intimidate me, and I am literally saying — and I have proof that you can hear it on the recording — saying "I'm sorry, what is your problem. Just tell me what your problem is and I will help you. " I thought I was going to be further assaulted so I pulled out my phone camera and began recording. On the other recording you can CLEARLY see the immediate 180 degree reversal in their behavior when this happens. The thing was, I had stayed here for several days. I left twice.

Clean and well maintained Guesthouse. Even though the walls are very thin, it's really nice. The staff is friendly, there is tea, coffee and water.

Very budget stay. Bathrooms clean and cleanliness is good for the price. Dorm is upstairs, suitable single beds are nice, but warm room. Be warned of a few things. There are mosquitos, the staff allow smoking in the common area, and it is not possible to get your key deposit back as no staff arrived in the morning. Next time I would just take the key with me instead of leaving on the desk! Also, this place is run extremely unprofessionally. Staff at reception mostly interested in their phone or complaining about stuff such as other guests of certain race or nationality, then proceed to slam a glass down on the table after several guest don't clean up after themselves, and left them saying the lady who cleans the next day will take care of them. Not a comfortable place to recommend.

Budget stay and suitable for backpacker. Renovation on the washroom and bedroom is needed as its look old.

If u want to check in after 9 or 10pm, u need to pay extra money (at least half of the room price u pay) to receptionist, I don't know this rule made by the owner or the receptionist himself, but it's awful.! Considering u have no other options at midnight but to pay him extra money for letting u check in, that was very unpleasant stay.

I've stayed in this guesthouse for at least one week. Everything was amazing here. Friendly staff, free coffee/tea, Wi-Fi available. And also they have couch, nice vibe and I meet lot of travelers. Share some ideas, told a story.

Nice staff, cheap rooms, good Wi-Fi, free coffee/tea, sofa/seats, TV and PC at the reception. A good place to make friends! Possibility to rent bikes for 5RM and buy water for 2RM. Laundry service as well. Our room: cheap (40RM for a double bed. Dorm costs 16RM), clean, small window, small mirror, comfy bed, table/chair and a fan. The rooms aren't totally "closed" as there is a space between the wall and the roof, it can be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Only shared bathrooms downstairs in the inner garden (3 rooms + the dorm are upstairs), cleaned every day. There is a lot of mosquitos. Our mosquito's net had holes so we never used it… Well situated in China Town, next to the Jonker Street (night market) and a Mosque (you can hear the muezzin's call several times per day/night). There are small shops in the same street. They have another house not far away (Victors). They also organize communal dinners at night, a good occasion to meet people and eat cheap and good food!

Cool cheap guesthouse in a traditional shop building with friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere.

Very nice guesthouse, however I had to leave because they had bedbugs in the dorm. I informed the staff, but they knew about it and took no action. It can ruin someone's trip and pass them on. I think that was quite irresponsible. Just hope they don't have them anymore (better check the bed properly under sheets)
