With Ms Linah Kassim, Guest Experience Manager of Melia Kuala Lumpur. All the staff here were very friendly. I was actually checking on every staff’s PR and indeed the service and hospitality was superb especially the front line team. Me and Ian had a great time staying there. We had breakfast every wee morning and enjoy our coffee and movies in the room. The chocolate cake was superb! I wish for more every day.

Hi Melia Team Below complaint for your perusal. My check in experience yesterday (16 Apr) was horrible. Apparently your staff had requested to place a deposit amount of RM 300. I declined and had explained to her that I would prefer to make the payment on the spot, should we order a room service etc. But your staff insisted on the deposit. Rather than checking/confirming with her supervisor on this, she threatened us saying that she would call her supervisor over. I find tha…t this is very rude and unacceptable. I thought that this deposit issue had been resolved after explaining to the supervisor. However, it didn't. When we were happily checking out the rooms, your staff came over and took all the items in the minibar in our presence. Are you trying to humiliate us? Shouldn’t this be done before we enter the room or perhaps given the keys? Is this how you treat your guests who do not wish to place any deposits? I wonder if this is your definition of customer service. Pls enlighten me. Humiliated, surprised, shocked, disappointed etc. Those are my feelings til now. I had never expected these treatments from a 4 stars hotel. In fact, 3 stars hotel treat us so much better than you. Shame on you! We are here to celebrate my parents' wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday. I spoke highly of Melia hotels and resorts and thus, decided to make Melia hotel Kuala Lumpur as our 1st choice. But whatever happened yesterday changed my perception of Melia brand.

The hospitality clearn and pleasant environment good customer service and pricing is reasonable.

You are crazy not to stay at this Hotel, inexpensive, centre of town, mono rail at your door, walking distance to KLCC and Twin Towers.
Unbelievable food and superb level, s of room, s.
There are plentiful array of food, s, Aussie wine, sea food and foreign delicacy, s near by.
Jalan Alor (the night Hawker, s street food) at the rear. Quality cheap food. Great atmosphere.
You will never regret staying at Team Melia.

Stayed for 4 nights Very friendly staff, buffet breakfast was great Wi-Fi Is very poor, small pool. Great location Opposite mall but very bad traffic Not a bad experience as I had a 2 year old with me aswel.

It was a worthy stay. Clean rooms and facilities. When we draw the curtains it was a little dusty. But overall it was fantastic. We drove from Singapore and reached KL at 11am. Very pleased with the frontline service staffs including Mr Thiru who quickly check us in with the available room even before the 2pm check-in. Really appreciate it very much. Very friendly Indian staff at the door as well The security in the hotel is very good. Like if you're staying in the 10th floor you can only access that level only. So we couldn't go down to the room where my sister was staying. We had to meet had lobby to pass things or whatsoever. So if you're travelling in a bigger group or family you may want to request for a same floor Breakfast was fantastic! They have a whole lot of varieties. The atmosphere was good too. Only one thing to improve would be that one of the malay lady who was clearing the plates after breakfast commented in malay that "If cannot finish why want to take so many food! " It was loud that it didn't reflect on the staff's professionalism. If there are many ppl wasting food, some food wastage posters or quotes might help with that. Prime location for shopping and food.

Rooms are new and decently sized. Breakfast is not too bad as well. But there are people smoking in their rooms and the corridor has a permanent smoky smell going on.

Good hotel, nice lobby and facilities. Staff not very friendly, but service is alright. Rooms were large and comfortable, nice furnishings.

Attended 2 days training as non in house guest. Meeting facilities are up to date. The 'kitchen' served international food and very tasty and delicious. Insyallah will come again in future.

We stayed in Melia Guestroom for 2 nights. The room is very spacious with king size bed. Check in was late. We arrived at 230pm but was told that our room will only be ready at 330pm. So we walked around Berjaya Times Square while waiting. Lucky it's just across the road from the hotel. Shopping was great. Easy access to restaurants and entertainments. Breakfast was awesome! A lot of choices. Train is just a few minutes away. Location is good. Traffic is bad. Always jam. The only downside is, there's no bathtub. Other than that, we love this hotel and may come back in the future.

I must say that the first judgment was lower due to a room assignment problem: we had in fact appreciated the location (pretty much downtown) and the courtesy of the staff (always kind and friendly), but we were dissatisfied with the stay as the assigned room (room with two separate single beds) did not match what was booked (non-smoking double room)! By the way, it happened during a holiday to celebrate an anniversary.
The judgment logically changed, when as a result of my complain, I was contacted by the structure that recognized the error (although at the time could not do otherwise) and offered to be able to remedy: the next booking in an Melia, This time in Europe, we did assign the suite to the cost of the standard room!
Problems are unlikely to ever happen, although it would be preferable if they were few, but the seriousness of solving them or at least apologizing (not just in words) is not by everyone.
Keep in mind.

Very good hotel, lovely rooms bathroom ect, loved the breakfast buffet, big selection. Right next to metro and 7/11, also near food market and shopping streets, very nice place to stay in KL.

This place would have 5 stars if based on location and room quality alone, unfortunately there is a real issue with street noise. I was located on the 3rd floor facing the monorail and the street noise was horrendous. I even found myself checking to see if the windows were open the noise was so bad, they weren't. Very glad I took earplugs with me. This issue really needs addressing as all other aspects of this hotel are great.

All right, although I think it is a little below the quality that Meliá usually offers in their hotels.

Excellent location. Housekeeping could do with a lot of improvement. Breakfast is good but could do with a daily change in the menu. Same cold cut and cheese served daily. Go early or the coffee becomes a mildly flavoured beverage. Repeated requests over 3 days brought no improvement.

It is not a huge hotel, but all were very friendly and helpful.

The only good notes are the location (basically downtown) and the courtesy of the staff, always friendly and friendly. Unfortunately we were unhappy with the stay having booked a non-smoking double room and having found ourselves in a room with two separate single beds! It really made us a nice Melia gift to let us spend the anniversary this way.
Never and never again in a Melia facility. Sconsigliatissimo.

Close to the metro, good value for money just right for Kuala Lumpur.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Location is very covenient to the surrounding malls. The room is spacious and modern with nice amenities. The staff were also helpful and accommodating to my needs.

A nice hotel to escape to in the middle of the city with very convenient location (the heart of Bukit Bintang). Comfy and Smells good. Great service & clean swimming pool. Staff is friendly & helpful gave us a great first impression. All in all, a good stay and we see ourselves returning again!

There were drawbacks from the start. We requested room "non-smoking", because when we arrived room was unbearable the smell that was impregnated to the bedding. We requested room change and response was: full Hotel, maybe tomorrow… " (They sent a maid to throw the room deodorant). I go to shower and drain clogged shower, it was flooded bathroom and part of the room. Finally asked to speak with manager, in principle employed did not want to call it, until raising voice, comes in charge us with room to verify "swamp in the room", and after a few hours of waiting, "surprising" appears new Room. This time without any problems. Really many drawbacks, in a hotel where the recounted should not have happened, as this to solve it took hours, but all the inconvenience happened. Unfortunate for a Hotel "Meliá" (I think they were mistaken for the stars it claims to have? )

Very good experience. Both the hotel facilities and the treatment of the workers was impeccable.

Very decent city centre hotel with good facilities, centrally located opposite Berjaya Times Square — some rooms with excellent views (ours did). Room was huge and comfortable with spacious reception and seating area. Large bathroom. Rooms a little tired but everything functions. Concierge is fantastic and deserves tipping generously! Bell boys good too. Piano bar. Breakfast buffet is actually well worth it.

Should be rated 2 star. Misled on late check out price. Customer service means the customer is always wrong.

I wanted to love Melia KL. It fell short in some pretty significant ways though. Let me start by saying most of the staff working there are exceptionally nice, especially the porters, doorman and housekeeping. Beware room charges — we were charged RM175 for late checkout after being quoted RM135. RM175 is their standard rate, so if you are told anything else you are being fed incorrect information. Rooms are NOISY. Incredibly noisy. Overlooking the main road so double glazing would have been a standard, but even in one of their superior rooms it sounded like the windows were all open. Breakfast is a free-for-all affair, very few staff, very little in the way of new tables being laid or your finished dishes being removed — not because of bad staff but just lack of them. It might sound harsh to give 2 stars but these 3 points are very significant. A premium hotel such as this should never have a negative customer interaction (though remember most of the staff are lovely), a good night's sleep is the most important thing from any hotel, and a seamless breakfast is the best start to the day. Unfortunately melia failed at these which let down an otherwise good experience.

Newly renovated rooms was nice. The level lounge offers good selection of snacks and drinks in the evening. Smallish pool.

It's an older hotel that has been EXTENSIVELY RENOVATED and so looks good as new. Close to the action in Bukit Bintang, and with a monorail station right outside. It is rated 4 stars and so exudes a certain luxurious feel. Rooms are spacious, clean and come with mini fridges and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel is located in a convenient place near to everything. The service is great and the rooms are good enough for the price.

On the whole, this hotel is at a good location where you can find many shopping malls and complexes. Facilities in the hotel are good but unfortunately there isn't any feedback form available where I was able to provide feedbacks or suggestions that I think necessary for the hotel's improvements. I feel this is a minor set back and I hope the hotel is able to think over of this suggestion.

Nice place to stay, clean and accessible to city centre. Also, friendly staff to help you. The issue I had, was that I left something behind in my room. When I went back 2 hr later to take it, they said it wasn't there! Surprised!

A reasonable place to stay while in KL. Accommodation is fair. Breakfast is average. Very near to shopping malls and places where you can find delicious street food. 5 minutes walk to Seven Eleven and Star Bucks.

Well located just down the metro stop. Very convenient with a luggage. Very nice and spationaute room BUT TO NOISY. Can hear noise from the street and surrounding rooms all night long.

We were here for 3 nights, love the location of the hotel, easy access for the malls (your own mall right at front with the cinema and Low Yat Plaza for your IT needs), train stops, and taxi. We got the breakfast included, and it was amazing with the local menu mixed with the western. Wifi at the room worked perfectly well. Definitely will be my first option whenever I come to KL or suggest it to everyone who will visit KL.

Hotel is worn and tired. There's no way this can be considered a 4* hotel. It's really a low 3 * hotel. The hotel is at least 20 years old and it shows. Rooms are just worn out with 30 year old furniture. Hopefully someone will buy this property soon and spend the money needed to bring it back to a respectable level.

Great location. Walking distance to major mall in Kuala Lumpur. Perfect for those wanna have some shopping in KL. Easy accessed by monorail, taxi and bus.

It has been 2 years since I was there its location is good as there is a mall near by. The rooms were good, so there no problem at all.

The room was clean and ok, but a bit old furniture inside. The swimming pool is located on the 3. Stage, too less place and not very sunny.

Had a great time staying at this hotel during our comeback to Malaysia in December 2014. Can't explain enough of their efficient service! They were super-quick about responding to requests. Great work Melia.

We stayed in Kuala lumpur Melia. Good location. Not so impressive room quality and service for the price they charge. I have had much better experience for less money. Not well equipped for muslim travellers, but for non-muslim travellers it might be okay.

Staying at Melia Hotel December 2014 for the first time. I Love the Hotel so much very near to the shopping mall and the staff very friendly, good food. Looking forward to stay again next visit to KL.

Just Good, nothing much impressive.

My wife and I stayed at Melia KL recently. From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, we were impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Roseanna and Nuraya at THE LEVEL, Anis on Reception and Mohammed Abu servicing the room. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The room was large but a little old — fashioned, the king bed was very comfortable. If there was an issue, the hot water took a long time to come through the pipes, but we were in no hurry. The position of the hotel is superb. Just across the road is Berjaya Times Square, right next door is the techno — geek paradise called Low Yat Plaza and just 10 minutes walk away is my wife's favourite, Sungei Wang Plaza. 5 minutes walk through Low Yat and you arrive at Jalan Bukit Bintang, the King's Cross of KL, very busy, fast, every kind of food. All in all, it was a memorable stay and we can't wait to visit KL and stay at The Melia KL again.

Good hotel good food good fascilities in the heart of city.

It is a hotel you begin to love it when you stay there more than once and get to know the staff and the restaurant. It has been my hotel in KL for more than 10 years. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The operation staff are friendly and helpful. The location is superb. Pavilon, Starhill, Lot 10, Ritz Carlton, Berjaya Time Square, Sungei Wang, Low Yat IT Mall, Mariott, Jalan Alor and jalan Imbi are within walking distance. The traffic can be rather bad at times as it is within the bukit bintang shopping belt.

It was very good. We had a apartment at level 7. It was good but their was no Wi-Fi. They would not tell the password for the Wi Fi. But it was good stiil. Nice room Good Bed I like it. Many attractions close by like Bukit Bintang, Petronas Towers and Berjaya Times Square. Overall a 4 star. Would Recommend.
