One of the most beautiful and well preserved old towns I have been in Europe. The city is quite well organized and the facilities (public transport, sanitation, and things like that) are great. I found the Latvian people to be quite cold and uninviting ; hardly saw anyone smiling even at some restaurants the servers wouldn’t smile and pretend to be friendly. There are so many tourist site to see in the old city and we were there only for one and half days which was not enough. I would recommend at least two to three days to properly see the town and enjoy the beauty it has to offer. There are so many restaurants in the town and quite a bit of bars and options for night life. Summer days are long and it won’t get dark Even by midnight. Raddissons blue hotel Sky Bar is the top option to get a a panoramic view of the city and you can just go there for a drink and enjoy the beautiful view. The Art Nevaue buildings and the beautiful churches will not disappoint your trip to Riga!
Great place to visit for a weekend getaway. Wonderful people and great food. So much to see so I hope to come back on the future.
