Located on the outskirts of the historic town of Gulbene in Northeastern Latvia, about 180 km from Riga, this hotel occupies a lovingly renovated manor from the 19th century.
Vecgulbenes muiža is surrounded by a beautiful park ideally suited for pleasant walks and bicycle rides.
Formerly known as Alt-Schwanenburg, the estate includes 2 castles. The White Palace was built in the 1840s as one of the most splendid examples of Historicism in the Baltics. It now houses the hotel. The Red Palace now houses a school. Both buildings were destroyed and rebuilt several times.

We booked a table, arrived in a beautiful place and unfortunately encountered an offensive attitude (statements-those two arrived, then it's a miracle, sit them two somewhere), which was the reason to leave this restaurant and look for a place to enjoy food elsewhere…
