Somehow they had a double booking for the room we had booked long time ago. It was less than three days before the trip when we were noticed about the situation. Personnel of Hotel Kaupo did not offer any help for searching alternative accommodation options (all hotels in Sigulda fully booked during that time) and they even did not apologize for the inconvenience they had caused to us. Customer service is below all standards. Shame on you!

I wasn't in the hotel itself. But in the restaurant, yes. The food is not tasty, the portions are small, the prices are higher than in old Riga. I'm not going again. Pictured is a pot of rabbit and root vegetables. Of the root vegetables only chopped onions and two small potatoes. The rabbit was so unsavoury that I didn't even finish this microscopic portion. The chicken fillet that the child ordered was so dry that it had to be drunk with a knife. And the portion left much to be desired.

Good quality rooms as well as the breakfast big portions and good taste.

Not bad, but a bit noisy due to construction.

Colourful and welcoming Hotel with abundant breakfast in the company of a cute feline.

Beds and bedding were comfortable and the price was great. A mini fridge was a bonus. A few minor things that we didn't enjoy were wet bath mat upon arrival, broken shampoo dispenser and moldy caulking in the shower cabin. We could also hear our neighbors late into the evening and music beat downstairs at night.

Easy to find. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.

Terrible restaurant! It is not advised! Instead of the promised half an hour, my order was waiting for more than an hour. The portions are small, expensive, tasteless… Bad ventilation in the room. Sat in the smoke.

So cute mistress. Decent place to stay. In the summer there simply Super.
